Philadelphia became the first major city to ban police traffic stops of low-level motor vehicle offenses, a tactic which critics claim disproportionately affects black people. The Philadelphia City Council passed two Driving Equity bills on Thursday that Mayor James Kenney is is expected to sign into law this week. The law creates an open searchable database recording traffic stops and prohibits police officers from stopping drivers for minor offenses by reclassifying several offenses as secondary violations.Secondary violations citations are issued to drivers by mail,

We could always black our faces and drive through Philly at 80 mph and not worry about a ticket. Of course that would mean a trip to that ****hole which I will never do.

While I admit, during the Jim Crow Era, minor traffic citations were used to target, humiliate and set up Blacks, I think the current day complaining is full of it! Disproportionate my ass!
If you can't deal with the time, don't do the crime!Blacks are proportionately more likely to kill other Blacks.
They are more likely to target other racial groups.
They are more likely to do a lot of illegal things, proportionately...
Seems to me, Blacks need to clean up their act.

Problem: Tooooo many people are breaking the Laws, particularly one small cultural cohort.
Solution: Cancel all enforcement of Laws
(don't bother to legally alter the Laws, just stop allowing police to enforce them)
Outcome; NO Laws are respected, Govt itself is no longer respected...because it LIES, if it's Laws are Lies,, everything it says or does is Lies. It Lies about it's laws, it lies about protecting people with those Laws...it lies about electing people to make Laws to protect the people who elected them..YOU are on your own.

People from philly know the only people who pay driving violations are the whites and Asians . The rest could care less as they are on welfare and food stamps. The stopping of violators usually shows they are wanted for more serous crimes.

I was a law enforcement officer for 38 years. When I observed a vehicle committing a traffic violation I was unable to identify the race or sex of the driver, only that the driver of the vehicle committed a violation. I would identify the information on the driver after making the traffic stop. So I guess they are saying drivers of certain races are less able to obey traffic laws?

Many inner city blacks just don't believe they have to obey laws in general. They're black, and they believe every law that limits they're ability to live and do what like is racist. So living in what is considered a socially acceptable way is considered racist.

that's because the best "on the street" arrests are made because of minor traffic violations. check the stats and this fact will be proven true.
William Devaughn said it ""Diamond in the back, sunroof top, diggin' the scene, with a gangsta lean". most accurately in his recording "Be thankful For What You Got" in 1974. the police know who the bad guys are and the politicians do everything they can to impede the police in bringing the bad guys to justice, which makes them worse than the bad guys.

Thus continuing the dumbing down of our traffic laws to the lowest common denominator. Have these black people no shame? Here an exception, there an exception, there a dumbing down… Why can’t they be good citizens?

That's the left for you. Too many blacks getting caught committing crimes? Re-define the word "crime" so no black ever has to face consequences for their bad choices.
In doing so, liberals are putting everyone in a prison of crime & chaos.

In court one morning for an expired tag, I saw a black man plead not guilty to speeding. He said he gets pulled over all the time for driving while black. He went on to admit that he was speeding, but the cop should have let him go???
As far as I am concerned, that should have gotten him charged also with perjury, cause he swore under oath to tell the truth but pled not guilty anyway.

What is this, another back door approach to reparations? Wait until they find out just how much revenue (Theft?) was coming in from these traffic tickets. But, no matter, they'll just increase taxes on those who actually work for a living. That's how democrats operate.

Let's 'Cut to the Chase'.
ANY Law enforcement disproportionally affects blacks, because some blacks are members of Urban Thug Culture, where normal American laws don't apply.
Taken to the logical conclusion, stop enforcing ANY Laws, let Anarchy reign!
Think of the money we will save!
No money for Police!
No money for Courts!
No money for Jails!
Just Reparations and Free Stuff!
