For a bill that supposedly cost "nothing," Joe Biden and Nancy Pelosi can't even persuade their own party to vote for it. (snip) Seems they've gotten themselves into a hammerlock, held hostage by the members of their party's socialist "squad." The squad, which couldn't care less what voters think beyond their own dead blue districts have declared "my way, or the highway," (snip) while a moderate blue-dog caucus of about 20, whose members aren't too public (out of fear of the Squad), doesn't like this crap at all, knowing that its passage for each of them means a Republican will take their seat in 2022.

Sandy the tip-stealing economics major promptly ran out afterwards and declared the reduced Xiden / Piglousy pork bill DOA. She reminded everyone that she's from the Bronx, and when she hears that you should settle for some it means that some get none, and she's not having it. The commies will accept nothing less than 3.5T, which will effectively kill it all. And that is the best possible result for America.

I said to the wife this morning that Democrats fraudulently getting rid of Trump was a case of “Beware of what you wish for! It may come true!” Well they have brought about a death spiral for the party. This is the time for Republicans to start educating the great unwashed about the evil of Democrats. I hope they will, but very few of them have the stones to come out swinging, like The Donald. Let’s hope they don’t let this opportunity go to waste.

Even Pelosi in her prime would have been savvy enough to realize that half a loaf is better than none. But now her position was secured through promises made to batcrap-crazy people like the Squad. Thank goodness there are some Dims with at least an ounce of common sense about them.

Lost in the reporting...This was Bidens FIRST meeting with the Democrat Caucus since the election. Only a few members of "leadership" have ever even had access to him. He only stayed for 40 minutes and no questions/answers/dialog was allowed. Democrats present said "He was feeble, didn't make any sense, didn't offer any plan, just kept saying 'unity, unity'" Biden then took the weekend off...and Pelosi sent everyone home for at least another week.

We need to understand a few things: 1) There is a UNIPARTY that orchestrates national legislation and policy based on turning a buck at the expense of the US Taxpayer. 2) Between 2017 and 2021 there was a never ending effort by the UNIPARTY to dump Trump however possible, from collusion and rape, tax evasion, emoluments to insurrection...two impeachments. They finally rigged the elections, particularly in six Republican states that made no effort to understand how Biden-Harris won the vote in each before certifying their electors. Their goal now that PDT is deposed is to make up for four lost years. COVIDS and "infrastructure" are the path they chose - expensive and easily manipulated politically. Allows Congress to bring home the bacon to the home folks, and to their patrons. 3) UNIPARTY leadership is aging. Mitch is 79 years old. He fits right in with Joe, Nancy and the rest. This is very likely their last big heist, if they can pull it off. But there is no way to thread this needle. The American public is finally figuring out that the TRILLIONS already appropriated/spent is creating economic havoc, such as inflation. The GOPe cannot afford to have its mask further torn away. It will stand pat. Even the usual knuckleheads get that. 4) The UNIPARTY is not about social change and reform. Joe, Nancy and Chuck are there to hold the line against the radical progs, and it appears the Frankenstein monster is thrashing about in their "moderate" castle while the townspeople are watching from below, increasingly restive over a range of issues and COVIDS fatigue. The media created The Squad, and one wonders how long before that propaganda worm violently turns. As Rush used to say, if the media made you, they can destroy you. The radicals need to be taken down some pegs to make this all work. Let's not get greedy, AOC.

With $5 trillion in new spending, the chance for far greater federal regulation of every aspect of our lives and $3 trillion + in new taxes all at stake, do not dismiss the Democrats. At some point in October, the alleged “moderate” Dems and the goons of the Squad will reach a deal that temporarily conceals the $5 trillion in new deficit spending so that Biden can claim another hollow success, no different than what he did for his Afghanistan debacle. Democrats have to buy their 2022 re-elections since they won’t have any actual accomplishments other than reducing our standard of living, so the massive bills will be passed with just enough Quisling Repubs supporting the two measures. Biden’s Build Back Better agenda will fail no differently than FDR’s New Deal and LBJ’s Great Society, but since US history is written mostly by Democrat authors, history books will praise the corrupt Biden even though the reality will be far different.

FTA: "But both are characters of failing faculties..." Or perhaps they're - "Creatures of feeble faculties."? Democrats could be a mighty force like during FDR only IF they would step to the center and whip/beat/crush those leftist socialists into a corner and show Americans they know how to lead. Instead, their tendency to "appease all enemies" exhibits lame weakness that no one takes confidence in. Biden is totally in over his potato head and Nasty Peril-osi is so filled with hatred of anything to the right of Chairman Xi that she can't see straight nor know with whom to align. Her war with MTG but buckling to AOC shows you she doesn't understand leadership principles like, "Keep your friends near, but your enemies closer." When Abraham Lincoln spoke the prophetic words "a house divided against itself cannot stand" — in a speech before the Illinois Republican state convention in 1858 — he was a relatively unknown politician. He saw the obvious: North and South were hopelessly divided over the issue of slavery — or more fundamentally, states' rights — and a breakup was all but all but unavoidable. This came to pass in just a few years' time in the form of the Civil War. Is America nearing a similar point in 2021?
