China warned that World War Three could be triggered 'at any time' on Tuesday after it sent dozens of warplanes into Taiwan's airspace. An article in the state-backed Global Times newspaper said that 'collusion' between the US and Taiwan was so 'audacious' that the situation 'has almost lost any room for manoeuvre, teetering on the edge of a face-off.'It claimed that the people of China were ready to back all-out war with the US, which backs Taiwan, warning the island nation against 'playing with fire'. All of this is triggered because Biteme was elected, the way the U.S left Afghanistan, and China's continued violation of Taiwan's airspace by dozens of planes from China over the last several weeks.

I should think China could just threaten to nuke Taiwan, maybe send a small one to destroy a small area, then Taiwan would have no choice but to capitulate, knowing the U.S. will do nothing to help.

I believe it would be wiser to worry about the United States and the multiple problems we have before worrying about Taiwan. Fix the United States but with this administration and weak GOP that seems unlikely in the near term. Does any sane person want a war with China with the current leadership we have at all levels? Sorry folks Asia is Asian and Taiwan is part of China.

China is not afraid to make threats because they know that Biden is an impotent wimp. They can do what they want and the US will not respond due to feckless leaders. China, Iran, Russia, terrorist groups, and other bad actors now have free reign.

I remember the media panic and fear mongering about Trump and North Korea, yet Trump showed strong leadership and tactful diplomacy when he met with Kim Jong Un. When Trump was president, foreign countries had respect for the US. Now with bumbling Biden, they see we are weak and vulnerable. The teacher has left the room.

China committed an act of war two years ago against the entire world by releasing the Covid, causing severe damage to all countries with death and economic destruction. The world seemed to accept this with no punitive measures whatsoever toward China, so why would they be concerned about taking any aggressive action toward any country. The leadership at the Pentagon is directed at indoctrinating the troops with white guilt training and has no interest in traditional military functions, and China has recognized this. The defacto Chinese Embassy is now located at 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue.

Recall that China hated and had complete lack of respect for Obama. Obama and his entourage are the bad actors behind the curtains pulling Bidens strings. Biden is corrupt and owned by China. China has no worries that Biden/Obama will take any actions to prevent them from doing whatever it is that they want to do.

China's rise as a world power has been a direct consequence of their being treated as a major manufacturing source and trading partner of the US and other major Western countries. Any attack of Taiwan (which is one of the major sources of the world's computer chips) would instantly cut off that source of economic growth and stability for China. They would be subject to internal strife from food and other shortages as a result. Bottom line: I see this as chest puffing and saber rattling intended to scare the US in particular and possibly to energize and embolden any Taiwan revolutionaries (much like the Russians did in Ukraine). For the moment, I believe they will only try to get certain trade and other concessions from the US and other squishy Western countries as a kind of blackmail/intimidation tactic rather than actually attacking Taiwan.

No one believes that comparatively tiny Taiwan could defeat China in a outright war. However, Taiwan is not without means to deliver blows to the approximately 3,000 communist party bigwigs living in the People's Republic. They might have already been targeted in anticipation of such an attack. A decapitation strike. It's possible. Does Xi feel lucky?

# 10 I am very much aware of the economic position Taiwan has, and I am also very much aware of the economic linkage between mainland China and Taiwan. Roughly 40% of all high-tech production and agriculture produced in Taiwan is purchased by China. I am also aware that Taiwan really only came into its own around 1949 when the Kuomantang (Chinese Nationalist forces) led by Chiang Kai-shek were driven off the mainland. This is not directly about economics, but instead, about projecting strength in Asia. This forum is not really conducive for a military or economic analysis; however, given the current situation and recent performance it seems to me (my opinion only) that this is not the best time to antagonize China. Regarding the statement about Taiwan's economic importance, I do not believe in dying or sending our sons and daughters to die for the continued economic viability of an island comprised mostly of Chinese who are already heavily entwined with China economically and socially.

It's no surprise that someone violated someone else's air space. That's how opponents test each others' radar systems. Our media is very happy to create the impression that we're on the brink of WW3 because they know the American public is easily distracted...China/Taiwan concerns are far better for Biden than continued discussion about his failed Afghanistan pullout and the southern border debacle.

Just 38% approve of Biden's job as president, and 53% disapprove, according to a poll from Quinnipiac University. Three weeks ago, the same poll found that 42% approved and 50% disapproved. Thirty-two percent of Independents approve of Biden while 60% disapprove. Four percent of Republicans approve, 94% disapprove. Still, 80% of Democrats approve of the president's job overall and 10% disapprove.

The Biden administration has sought to portray its botched Afghanistan withdrawal as a success, citing the evacuation of over 124,000 people in 16 days. However, the harrowing first few days of the evacuation showed how little advance planning there was as the Taliban closed in on the capital. According to several firsthand witnesses, the ensuing panic and chaos created a disaster zone at the Kabul airport that American troops had to gain control of, and in the process, witness war crimes and other human tragedy.

WASHINGTON—President Joe Biden and congressional Democrats’ push for a 10-year, $3.5 trillion package of social and environmental initiatives has reached a turning point, with the president repeatedly conceding that the measure will be considerably smaller and pivotal lawmakers flashing potential signs of flexibility. In virtual meetings Monday and Tuesday with small groups of House Democrats, Biden said he reluctantly expected the legislation’s final version to weigh in between $1.9 trillion and $2.3 trillion, a Democrat familiar with the sessions said Tuesday. He told them he didn’t think he could do better than that, the person said, reflecting demands from some of the party’s more conservative lawmakers. Biden used those same figures during

Three glistening new buildings in downtown Seattle with 165 studio apartments — originally to be rented at market rates — will instead house the homeless. The Low Income Housing Institute (LIHI) is buying the buildings with taxpayer dollars for about $50 million, with federal COVID-19 relief funds splitting the cost equally. Seattle City Hall is contributing about $25 million, while also using “American Rescue Plan Act” funds. A large portion comes from Washington State’s Department of Commerce. Left-wing Seattle Mayor Jenny Durkan, so unpopular she can’t run for re-election, claims the deals will house people quickly and cheaply, compared to the time and cost required to develop similar projects from scratch.

After the patron saint of restricting Americans’ freedoms suggested we might need to cancel Christmas, I suppose this shouldn’t come as all that much of a surprise. The CDC is announcing today that they are recommending that Americans celebrate Thanksgiving virtually again this year. You probably don’t need me to tell you that this is one turkey of an idea that Joe Biden isn’t going to be able to make fly. But the new guidelines have all sorts of unpleasant nuggets built into them for any of you dangerous people who still insist on carving up the turkey with your family. Oh, and you have to scroll

The U.S. Department of Justice issued a memorandum to the FBI instructing them to initiate investigations of any parent attending a local school board meeting who might be viewed as confrontational, intimidating or harassing.

HOWELL, MI -- President Joe Biden saw a clear message from the window of his motorcade while driving to an event in Howell on Tuesday. “F*** Biden” was visible on flags and signs carried by a crowd of protesters gathered along M-59 in Livingston County, a deeply conservative part of the state. U.S. Rep. Elissa Slotkin, D-Holly, said she was “embarrassed” by the profane message as she sat next to the president, who pointed out the signs as they passed by the rally.

Treasury Secretary Janet Yellen defended Tuesday the new IRS rule requiring all transactions above $600 to be reported as she backed Joe Biden's controversial anti-private banking, Soviet-born pick to lead her department's Office of the Comptroller of the Currency (OCC). 'Collection of information is routine,' Yellen assured when asked by CNBC's Squawk Box co-host Andrew Ross Sorkin about the new information collection that some Americans claim is an invasion of privacy.(Snip)She added: 'It's a simple way for the IRS to get a sense where that might be–it's just a few pieces of information about people's bank accounts.'

Have we ever had a president who in mere months made so many dumb, intemperate decisions, thereby precipitating major crises? You’d think that the Afghanistan and border fiascos would suffice for one four-year term. But the smart money is that we haven’t seen the last of Biden-manufactured crises. Biden is a nightmare version of Pig-Pen of the Peanuts comic strip.. A perpetual cloud of incompetence, conceits, corruption, and shabby political motives swirls around him. (snip) As Niall Stanage of the Hill put it, “President Biden’s biggest vulnerability isn’t any single issue. It’s the risk that he could be seen as losing control of events.”

WASHINGTON — President Joe Biden on Monday urged Republican senators to “get out of the way” and let Democrats suspend the nation’s debt limit, hoping to keep the U.S. government from bumping dangerously close to a credit default as Senate Republican Leader Mitch McConnell refuses to lend his party’s help. Biden’s criticism came with Congress facing an Oct 18 deadline to allow for more borrowing to keep the government operating after having accrued a total public debt of $28.4 trillion. The House has passed a measure to suspend the debt limit, but McConnell is forcing Senate Democrats into a cumbersome

Days after a national organization representing school board officials lamented to the Biden administration about “hate groups” intimidating education officials, Attorney General Merrick Garland has directed the FBI to combat “threats of violence” against administrators.Without citing specific cases, in a memorandum issued on Monday, Merrick Garland expressed concern about a “disturbing spike in harassment, intimidation, and threats of violence against school administrators, board members, teachers, and staff who participate in the vital work of running our nation’s public schools.”“While spirited debate about policy matters is protected under our Constitution, that protection does not extend to threats of violence or efforts to intimidate individuals
