Are the Russia hoax’s ‘big fish’

Of the many positions Kash Patel held during Trump’s presidency, his most important was as an aide to Devin Nunes when the latter worked doggedly to reveal that the Democrats’ Russiagate charges were a hoax coming from the Democrat party—specifically, from Hillary Clinton’s campaign. Given Patel’s insider’s knowledge of events, it means something when he appears on Maria Bartiromo’s Fox show on Sunday mornings and says that he believes that Special Prosecutor John Durham is on the verge of issuing some serious indictments against big players in the Russia hoax. (snip) I must admit that I’m not as optimistic as Patel

Most people are not aware of the fact that it took 3yrs to prosecute Watergate and this case was a lot more complicated than some bumbling burglars. Durham is a dog with a bone, let's hope he is successful in bringing down the real culprit in all this and we all know who she is.

Durham is NOTHING more than a Deep State political hack putting on a show for the masses. If, in fact, he was more than that many indictments would have come before the Election when it would have done some good. We certainly wouldn't have to worry about Merrick Garland not persuing the indictments. Durham is so incompetent that it took him 18 months to bring charges against Clinesmith who Horowitz served up on a silver platter. I don't see how anyone can have any confidence that Durham will ever serve the common good.

The author is correct. If Durham manages to indict the big fish, Merrick Garland is in place to make sure nothing comes of it. Justice will not be served especially in a Washington DC courtroom and I seriously doubt it will even get that far.

The skepticism is well-warranted. We have watched for decades as the Clintons got away with murder, literally. Then Obambi and his minions skated through multiple scandals including using the IRS to attack their political opponents (Lois Lerner should be in prison) and influence the outcome of elections, which Dominion was probably interfering with back then anyway. Things may look bleak, but until Durham is done, or Trump concedes, I'm staying hopeful. Things could happen suddenly.

John Durham will never prosecute a so-called Big Fish. Perhaps they may drag Andy McCabe through a little show indictment. But just like the FBI xerox operator (or whatever minor position he held) that was prosecuted and given what? community service or the equivalent, McCabe and others will skate. It is unfortunate, that probably starting with the Clinton administration, federal law enforcement and spy agencies were hiring and promoting leftist agents. This quietly simmering stew of socialists are now firmly in charge of these agencies. No need to look further than Fay Wray. We now have federal state police, and as we have seen over these last few years, there is definitely a dual system of justice; a very lenient one for democrats and a robust one for everyone else, in particular Trump and his supporters. And as we say everyday on this site, our Republic is under assault and in very serious trouble. Sorry Patel, but ain't no one, except Trump supporters going to jail.

While a lot of people on this site, and others, may feel they know what happened, and frustrated over the lack of prosecutions, it is not always so in DC. Many of the top-level folks are insulated by staff from details to provide them plausible deniability. However, the encouraging thing is this investigation is still on-going. I presume it may remain so for a while, to ensure Merrick and Company can't shut it down, or cover things up. If he simply puts out an indictment here and there, but then finds himself with a more favorable Congress in 2022, it would prevent them from burying the whole matter. At least that would be the hope. And, you don't issue 26 page indictments in most cases. Marc Elias left Perkins Coie recently too. Would seem the partners forced him out. Believe Perkins is based in California - could they therefore prosecute in CA instead of DC?

There's one factor most are forgetting when weighing the Durham investigation....GOD! There is a prayer answering God and that's why the exposure of all the rottenness in D.C. is coming to light. Rocks are being turned over and snakes are being exposed and other slimy creatures. Because of the pain of what is being revealed, many are turning conservative and turning to God. That's the good news even in these difficult days. Sometimes it takes pain for people to see the light.

When Abraham Lincoln spoke the prophetic words "a house divided against itself cannot stand" — in a speech before the Illinois Republican state convention in 1858 — he was a relatively unknown politician. He saw the obvious: North and South were hopelessly divided over the issue of slavery — or more fundamentally, states' rights — and a breakup was all but all but unavoidable. This came to pass in just a few years' time in the form of the Civil War. Is America nearing a similar point in 2021?
