Joy Behar Rages at Manchin, Sinema:‘Enemies

Original Article

The View’s Joy Behar took over a segment that should’ve been criticizing President Biden on Wednesday, to instead attack moderate Democrats. The hosts were talking about the military top brass contradicting Biden’s claim that he had support for complete troop withdrawal from Afghanistan and his poor poll numbers. But not far into it, Behar steered the conversation away to instead complain that Democrats Joe Manchin [WV] and Kyrsten Sinema [AZ] were actually responsible for “destroying the country,” and Biden’s fledgling performance.Co-hosts Whoopi Goldberg, Sara Haines, Ana Navarro and Sunny Hostin all stayed on-topic, unwilling to criticize Biden.

Both Manchin and Sinema were elected by voters in their respective states. They each have one vote in the Senate. That is democracy in action. Behar does not recognize democracy unless it furthers her socialist views. Why would anyone care what Behar says or believes?

How is bi-partisan opposition to a strictly partisan (big D) Democrat boondoggle Bill...Un-democratic?(small d) Fact be known...Repubs actually HAVE a Senate Majority, not the Dems. 50 vs 48. There are two independents. One of which ran and was elected as a Socialist, the other just "lied". (2012: "The Democratic Party as an institution has become too much the party that is looking for something from government," yet when elected King announced that he would caucus with Senate Democrats, explaining not only that it made more sense to affiliate with the party that had a clear majority, but that he would have been largely excluded from the committee process had he not caucused with a party. King said he had not ruled out caucusing with the Republicans if they took control of the Senate in 2014, but when Republicans did win the majority that year, he remained in the Democratic caucus. King also remained in the Democratic caucus after the 2016, 2018, and the 2020 elections, the first two of which also resulted in Republican Senate majorities and the last of which produced a 50-50 tie. He could be a King-maker, Deal Maker...switching to win on any issue...instead he just fills a seat, and his name is never mentioned) With the VP, when all are in totally partisan/anti-minority cahoots they can squeak stuff by on 51 votes.

Believe that courts and laws and jails are UNJUST. Believe in the tooth fairy and the Easter Rabbit. Republican: one who believes that people must pay their bills. Believe that capital is a means of exchange, in situations where a barter economy is not possible. Believe that laws written on paper have meaning. But eight months into the new presidency, America's deep disunity might not be letting up. The other is a $3.5 trillion catch-all spending bill that includes Democrats’ most radical priorities, and which Biden has recently linked to his “Build Back Better” policy agenda.
