Dozens of congressmembers have demanded the immediate release of Lt. Col. Stuart Scheller after he was jailed for defying orders to stop publicly criticizing the nation's Afghanistan withdrawal. Scheller, 40, was arrested and jailed at the Camp Lejeune brig Monday for allegedly breaking four military laws by refusing orders to stop posting critical videos on social media. He was scheduled to make his first court appearance in North Carolina today, but the public – including elected officials and the media – are prohibited from attending. The court hearing has been postponed until next week,
36 whole patriots out of 535. How impressive.
The military is trying to get its pound of flesh. Scheller offered to resign his commission. No dice. No dissention will be tolerated by the new woke military.

That would be under 7% that signed. What self indulgent pigs. Yet Milley and Austin, two incompetent buffoons are hitting the cocktail circuit. Way to go, Congress.

Colonel Scheller and those January 6th people, locked up are the crash test dummies of the rise of the communists in our federal government - they will do what they want, when they want and to whom they want until they are stopped and as long as we remain somewhat reticent about confronting them, they will succeed ... and we are lost, as a free nation

I just sent an email to Jim Jordan.R-OH..I had 2 beefs..first of all,he like so many of them do not let you email them if you are not in their district. so you have to fudge around it and put in an address of one of their offices in order to get in the site to post.I am in Ohio just not in his district. I am a supporter and have donated to his campaign..but that is a turn off for me..on one hand I understand why they do it..but...I don't have to like it.
I said that I wanted to see his signature on the letter of the 36 other members of Congress re Lt. Col. Scheller..I mentioned that was a shameful amount of signatures..and we are watching to see if he signs.

When Trump retakes the office and he will retake it, Scheller should be offered a position high up in the pentagon

I trust the letter let the Convening Authority for this Court Martial know his name will come under more severe scrutiny when his next promotion is due.

A note to members of congress:
36 out of 535.
You 499 weasels in the house and senate who did not sign the letter disgust me. The biggest military disaster in our nation's history at the hands of biden the cheater happened just one month ago in Afghanistan and you can't be bothered to stand up for one patriot, but, you can stand up for three woke overweight old fogy generals. You also stood up for that lefty butt-kisser Vindman. That you could do.
My representative, Congresswoman Boebert, stood up and signed like a true patriot. Unlike you.

The' 'feather merchants' in the Pentagon and other parts of the 'deep state' greatly fear the strength and integrity of men and women in the Armed Forces from middle management down, so they are willing to go to great lengths to intimidate LtCol Scheller, and more recently Lance Corporal Hunter, the marine who saved the baby at the gates of Kabul's airport. Hunter committed the grievous offense of attending and briefly speaking at a recent Trump rally in Perry, GA. The video shows that he was not in uniform, and made no political comments, yet he is now 'under investigation' by the USMC brass for any possible 'policy violations' (known commonly as a fishing expedition).
Our feckless leaders who persecute our troops in order to silence them underestimate their courage, integrity, and patriotism.

They sign a letter "demanding the immediate release of Lt. Col. Stuart Scheller." Or what? If they don't immediately release him, what will these congressmembers do?
Yep, exactly.

I see that my representative, Nancy Mace, who was the first female to graduate from The Citadel, is not on the list. As has happened several times before, she has shown herself to be a traitor and will not get my vote next year.

The Marines are so proud they leave no one behind on the battlefield, yet they seem okay with letting one languish in the brig. Where are all the brave, heroic and patriotic Marines, particularly those retired flag officers and "always a Marine" veterans? Where are the protest demonstrations outside the gates of Camp Lejune? Or, anywhere? Some leadership...

Col. Scheller's imprisonment and impending courts martial tell you all you need to know about just how far the left has co-opted the US military. As a vet, I am both appalled and disgusted at what's been done in just a few years to what used to be the world's most formidable fighting force.

Did the 36 members of Congress sign in the dark, or in full sunlight? Please sign here, it's routine, Sir. As Pvt. Gomer Pyle would say, ''Surprise, Surprise, Surprise.''

whoa, whoa, whoa!
agree or disagree with his statements but he made them while in uniform.
He should have resigned before he made them, not after. The Uniform Code of Military Justice should be enforced to endure good order and discipline prevail. I also understznd he is not in solitary confinement but is separated from other prisoners. That makes sense since he is an officer and the other detainess are mostly, if not all, enlisted.
Be careful about outrageous claims from both sides

Col. Scheller knew the stakes for speaking out against his superior officers and the civilian leadership. The UCMJ is clear on this, so one must believe that Col. Scheller did the cost-benefit analysis on his actions before he spoke out and had to have concluded that the benefits outweighed the costs. It was his choice to make but since he knew the probable consequences, I wonder what he figured the main benefits of his actions would be. Perhaps those benefits remain to be seen.

#s 23/24 - What you say is correct. What he did was an act of civil disobedience. And with that, let's all walk away from his message and him.
We wonder why "the left" is always moving forward. Here is a prime example. LTC Scheller is getting zero public support, and less from his comrades. I find that abhorrent, particularly in light of the behavior of Gen. Milley and his violation of his oath to the Constitution by acting in apparent disdain of civilian command of the military.
What we are seeing/experiencing is the disintegration of trust in the most trust-necessary government institutions, from FISA courts to the FBI, our Intel community and now our military. Unimaginably, can some ambitious colonel be far behind taking action?
This is incredibly serious, don't you agree?

si si peeee/ Uniporkers, remember this, you worthless cads :
God standeth in the congregation of the mighty; he judgeth among the gods.
2 How long will ye judge unjustly, and accept the persons of the wicked? Selah.
3 Defend the poor and fatherless: do justice to the afflicted and needy.
4 Deliver the poor and needy: rid them out of the hand of the wicked.
5 They know not, neither will they understand; they walk on in darkness: all the foundations of the earth are out of course.
6 I have said, Ye are gods; and all of you are children of the most High.
7 But ye shall die like men, and fall like one of the princes.
8 Arise, O God, judge the earth: for thou shalt inherit all nations.

It has been decades since I've been flamed by fellow L-Dotters, but I fully expect to be after this post! As one of the longest members of this site, I want to urge all of you to do some research. I found a bit of "research' which was just posted about an hour ago. While I certainly support this LTC's desire for accountability, I DO NOT SUPPORT THE FOLLOW-UP crap which he posted. I am sorry for having to say this, but he sounds like a nut-case now. He starts trashing DJT and members of his family. Then he starts in on General Flynn and others.
I don't know if the mods will let me get by with saying this, but you need to watch that "tube" place and search for the name of Ward Carroll. Check out his latest post.
Now let the flames begin!
