How many crises can arise under the watch of President Dementia? The border is out of control. Inflation is rising. Job creation is grinding to a halt. Our allies are infuriated over our Afghanistan exit. France has recalled its ambassador over a disagreement in a US-UK-Australia defense pact. And now, we’re about to run out of money. On September 30, the government’s operating budget expires. On top of that, we need to raise the debt ceiling as well. On that issue, we’ve been heading in this direction for weeks. We failed to raise the debt limit during the summer. We’ve been in what the Treasury calls “extraordinary measures”

A phone call took place between Biden and French President Emmanuel Macron on Wednesday paving the way for reconciliation between the two countries. The call lasted for 30 minutes and by the end, both men agreed to find a path forward. France agreed to send its ambassador back to the U.S.
Yanking an ambassador during a squabble between two countries is meant as an attention-getting move, a show of anger over some perceived slight. In this case, we are hard-pressed to find another time when France recalled its ambassador from the U.S. France is America’s oldest ally and the relationship has remained unbroken through the years.

The White House argued Thursday that former President Donald Trump was to blame for the Haitian migrant crisis taking place on the Southern border.
White House press secretary Jen Psaki bristled after reporters questioned why Biden’s efforts to secure the border were being compared by members of his own party to those used by former President Trump.
“We could not see it as any more different from the policy of the prior administration, which the president feels, we all feel was inhuman, immoral, ineffective, wasn’t operationally working,” she replied. “And because of the dysfunction of it, we are dealing with the very broken system that we’re dealing with today.”

Deterrence is the ancient ability to scare somebody off from hurting you, your friends or your interests — without a major war.Desire peace? Then be prepared for war. Or so the Romans believed. It’s an easily understood concept in the abstract. But deterrence still remains a mystical quality in the concrete since it is only acquired with difficulty and yet easily forfeited. The tired democracies of the 1930s learned that lesson when they kept acquiescing to Hitler’s serial aggressions.Hitler’s Germany foolishly later attacked a far stronger Soviet Union in 1941, given Moscow’s lost deterrence after its lackluster performances in Poland and Finland, its pact with the Nazis, and its recent purges

As we reported previously, the Biden Administration announced they would be rationing the supply of monoclonal antibody therapies from distributors.
“HHS will determine the amount of product each state and territory receives on a weekly basis. State and territorial health departments will subsequently identify sites that will receive product and how much,” the spokesperson said. “This system will help maintain equitable distribution, both geographically and temporally, across the country – providing states and territories with consistent, fairly-distributed supply over the coming weeks.”

Ron DeSantis has been doing a lot as governor of Florida. But there’s one job that hasn’t gotten the attention it deserves: In many ways, DeSantis is serving as America’s shadow president.
In the Westminster parliamentary system of government, used in Britain and elsewhere, the opposition forms a shadow cabinet: A group of senior opposition-party members takes responsibility for issues facing various government departments. So there might be a shadow defense minister, who focuses on military issues, and the group might put together a “shadow budget.”
None of these activities has any direct impact on the actual Cabinet; the shadow government has no executive power. But it does provide a contrast

A pair of emails from business associates of Hunter Biden reveal he offered to help them unfreeze Libyan assets for a $2million retainer plus 'success fees', while they also discussed their misgivings over his drug and alcohol use. The email exchanges were between mid-level Democratic donors Sam Jauhari and Sheikh Mohammed al-Rahbani, who in 2015 were both working on behalf of the new Libyan government to free up $30billion in state foreign assets. They had been frozen by the Obama administration under the deposed Muammar Gaddafi regime in 2011.

Democrats have created this completely false narrative about election security laws. Doing things like requiring ID is somehow “racist,” even though most of the world requires it for voting and most Americans want it to ensure the safety of the elections.
They created this fiction over the past few months, over laws in states like Texas and Georgia, creating a mania against the Georgia law which prompted Major League Baseball to pull the All Star game from the state. Crazy Democrats from Texas fled the state to prevent a quorum to stop voting on an election security bill.

He also questioned those making policy judgments on behalf of the Biden administration, especially on the subject of immigration.
Partial transcript as follows:
Sean, I can’t think of a single presidential administration that has broken more plates in its first nine months than the Biden administration. I mean, think about it, you were talking about it earlier — Afghanistan, inflation, crime, critical race theory, gas prices, the destruction of America’s energy independence.
And yet, of all of the president screw-ups,

While Democrat infighting has been a common occurrence since the beginning of the Biden administration, there have still been areas that have seemed to be “off-limits.” One of those is going after members of the “squad,” specifically those who are rabidly anti-Semitic. So while you’d get some denunciations of anti-Semitic things Ilhan Omar said, for example, those denunciations from her colleagues were always couched in weasel language that never truly got to the point.Perhaps that’s changing? As RedState reported earlier, the lunatics came out to play during the vote on funding for Israel’s Iron Dome, including Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez breaking down into tears.

By an overwhelming majority, the House voted to fund the Israeli Iron Dome today, a defensive system that protects against Palestinian rocket barrages. New claims for unemployment benefits unexpectedly rose last week, the second consecutive week of climbing claims.
The Department of Labor said that there were a seasonally adjusted 351,000 initial claims for state unemployment benefits in the week ended September 18, up from 335,000 in the previous week. The four-week moving average—which smooths out short-term volatility—fell by 750 to 335,750. The previous week’s average was revised up by 750 to 336,500. The rising number of new claims, which are a proxy for layoffs, raises the risk that progress in the labor market may have stalled as the economy suffers the one-two punch of supply chain disruptions and the Delta variant.

Chinese real estate behemoth Evergrande is facing a crucial deadline to pay an $83.5 million interest payment due today amid fears that it could default on its $300 billion debt and plunge the world into financial chaos. We’ve been told a lot of lies and nonsense about the Afghanistan debacle by Joe Biden and his administration. Now some of those lies are coming back to bite us.
One of the lies was about how all the evacuees were thoroughly vetted before they came to the United States. “Before anyone who is evacuated from Afghanistan comes to this country, they undergo a rigorous vet,” State Department spokesperson Ned Price told reporters.
We already found out how wrong that was with the first 30,000 evacuees brought to this country. About 10,000 needed “additional screening.” If they were “thoroughly vetted,” why would they need additional screening on such a massive

Embattled state Health Commissioner Howard Zucker will step down from his position as soon as a replacement can be found, Gov. Kathy Hochul announced Thursday. Zucker was a key figure in the administration of disgraced Gov. Fears have been raised that 5,000 Haitian migrants could have been released into the US after the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) released figures Thursday showing they are processing only 10,000 of an estimated 15,000. The figures, that were finally released after days of requests from reporters, show that 1,401 were back to Haiti on 12 flights, 3,206 remained in custody, and 5,000 are camped out beneath the International Bridge in Del Rio, Texas. Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas has said at one point there were up to 15,000 immigrants and the DHS has so far refused to clarify if the remaining number have been released into the US.

Call it a “wokelash.” Ordinary Americans are fed up with corporations' woke politics on issues unrelated to their businesses. A recent Rasmussen poll finds that two-thirds of Americans think companies should stay out of politics. Now, new legislation sponsored by Sen. Marco Rubio will help people hold companies accountable for their political virtue signaling. The Mind Your Own Business Act, introduced in the Senate this week, makes it easier for shareholders to sue companies engaging in gratuitous politics for breaching their fiduciary duty to maintain shareholder value.

Operation Gaslight is collapsing.
A majority of Americans blame President Biden for the border crisis, a new poll shows, as the administration is caught lying about the makeshift refugee camp under a bridge in Del Rio, Texas.
About two-thirds of the 15,000 Haitians living in unsanitary conditions under the bridge have been moved out since Saturday, as local authorities try to regain control.
Just over 5,000 migrants remained yesterday afternoon.
But the tough talk from the administration that they would be deported back to Haiti under a special Trump-era pandemic health order has turned out to be hot air.

The American public is not a fan of President Biden’s new pandemic mandate, which strikes many as draconian. Expect loud dissent and open flouting of the order. Republican governors will provide many with the necessary cover. Americans’ low trust in institutions and high political polarization may further weaken our confidence in public health authorities.
This public distrust is not irrational. Political officials have repeatedly violated their own rules. The CDC has made absurd recommendations and yet effectively declared COVID defeated in May. The FDA has been far too slow to approve vaccines, refusing to take reasonable risks to improve public health.

With 351,000 jobless claims, the week ending September 18 saw the highest total claims since the week of August 21, the Labor Department reported Thursday. The figure marked a climb from the previous week’s upwardly revised 335,000 claims.

America’s founding fathers named three essential rights to which all men were entitled: Life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness. It’s as profound as it is simple.
At this very moment, though, all three of these fundamental, God-given rights are under a full assault by the left. Maricopa County's failed 2020 election is back in the news. First, an independent canvassing of Arizona's Maricopa County voters revealed a possible 173,000 "lost" ballots and 96,000 "ghost" votes. Add this to the soon-to-be-released Maricopa audit, and — hopefully — the people responsible can be held accountable. Lucky for us, we already know what the adversary's next few moves will be; it's not the first time the Democrats have been caught rigging elections. The Democrats' standard response is denial and misdirection. Denial needs no explanation. As for misdirection, here are an explanation, a demonstration, and a practical exercise in how the game is played.

It’s no secret that most Americans mistrust the media. A recent Gallup survey found that only 21 percent of the public expressed “a great deal” of confidence in newspapers. Television news fared even worse. This distrust of the media isn’t merely due to dishonest “reporting,” it is also tied to collusion between journalists and the politicians they are meant to keep honest. The White House press pool, for example, is little more than a Greek Chorus that recites Biden administration talking points. In exchange for this tawdry performance, they expect occasional access to the President. But Biden’s handlers have no more respect for the media than does the public.

The prognostications about the 2022 election have begun and rightly so, given the current collapse of the Biden administration. Historically, unpopular presidents lead to mid-term wipe-outs for their party, and Republicans appear to be in their best position since the conclusion of the 2020 election.
Ironically, a poll out of Virginia that doesn’t actually ask anything about the 2022 election may be the best barometer yet, though. Glenn Youngkin, the Republican candidate for governor has now taken the lead over Democrat Terry McAuliffe with likely voters. That election will happen this year and will represent a major marker in how public opinion is shifting in even blue states.
