By the time it's finished, the wall will be holding millions of illegals IN America. I suggest a wall of M-249 SAWs until the metal fence is finished.

Absolutely, #2 and 3, and we are not being negative. We are simply onto the clever statements, promises without firm time lines, and then things move slow as molasses with few updates from Abbott himself. Its reelection time so we need to push push push our Governor’s office frequently by phone or email frequently. He will respond as quickly and efficiently as WE TEXANS push him on it. Thank you patriots for your prayers and concerns about all this. Baloney on any talk that this is not the business of non-Texans. The ridiculousness of the Texas-Mexico border is the business of every American. The criminals and traffickers that have been coming across that non-border have been hurting good people everywhere - for decades actually. By golly, with God’s help, it is gonna stop!

Former prime minister Paul Keating has slammed the new nuclear submarines deal between the US, UK and Australia, arguing the US military can't beat a bunch of Taliban rebels in pick-up trucks. In a damning assessment of the agreement jointly announced this morning by Prime Minister Scott Morrison, US President Joe Biden and UK Prime Minister Boris Johnson, Mr Keating said the deal represented a further 'dramatic loss of Australian sovereignty'. Mr Keating, the famously acid-tongued Labor PM from 1991-1996, released a statement that questioned the wisdom of Australia locking in its military equipment and defence forces with the US

US President Joe Biden appeared to forget Scott Morrison's name while announcing America and Britain will help Australia build a nuclear-powered submarine fleet. The prime minister joined Mr Biden and British PM Boris Johnson in a historic three-way press conference to unveil the 'AUKUS' alliance to counter the worrying rise of China in the Pacific. But Mr Biden seemed lost recalling his Australian PM's name as he thanked the other two leaders who spoke before him.

France has been 'stabbed in the back' by the Australian nuclear submarine deal, a former top diplomatic official has said. 'France has just been reminded this bitter truth by the way the US and the UK have stabbed her in the back in Australia. C’est la vie.' California voters overwhelmingly chose to keep Democratic Governor Gavin Newsom in office in a recall election on Tuesday. Newsom was spared after a projection by the Associated Press showed that a majority of voters opted against recalling him. With 61 percent of the estimated vote in, early returns showed that 5.3 million voters supported keeping Newsom in office, while 2.5 million Californians voted in favor of his removal. SACRAMENTO, Calif. — Despite warnings the race would be close, California Gov. Gavin Newsom decisively defeated efforts to kick him out of office, a win the Democrat cast as an endorsement of his handling of the coronavirus pandemic and his party’s liberal values. Newsom cruised to victory in the recall election Tuesday, boosted by healthy turnout among an overwhelmingly Democratic electorate, ensuring the nation’s most populous state will remain a laboratory for progressive policies. With an estimated two-thirds of ballots counted, the “no” response to the question of whether to recall Newsom was ahead by a 30-point margin.

The headline stories today are large, and so is the background as these issues surface. Context becomes increasingly important as each aspect is reviewed. As you look at the stories, remember this context (emphasized as a reminder):(snip)Factually, President Trump’s strategic approach toward foreign threats and foreign intervention (through the use of geopolitical economic pressure) was a major paradigm shift that removed the Defense Department from a primary role, and placed them back into a more appropriate ‘contingency’ role when it came to foreign policy and national security. It was obvious from the outset of the Trump administration that the Pentagon did not like that position.
