FBI Director Christopher Wray on Wednesday apologized to the U.S. gymnasts who were sexually abused by Larry Nassar and said the agency’s failure to properly investigate allegations against him “was beyond the pale.” “I am sorry that so many people let you down over and over again and I am especially sorry that there were people at the FBI who had their own chance to stop this monster back in 2015 and failed, and that is inexcusable, it never should have happened, and we are doing everything in our power to make sure it never happens again,” Mr. Wray said.(Snip)After reading the report, Mr. Wray said, “I was heartsick.

Apologies are insufficient!! Fire those responsible and drag Comey's backside into jail. Afterall, he was the FBI director at that time. Has this guy stood for anything that was moral? What a git!

How many years has Wray been in the upper echelons of the FBI? Wait and watch. He's not going to change a thing in the FBI,

OP dingdingding! Exactomondo!
I don't wanna hear a peep of anyone in authority being "really really angry!" Two "really"s!! If they did wrong someone needs to go to the slammer. Period.
You cannot say, We own up to it, to get your social credit! But also, no one must pay a price.
I liked it when top cops didn't show emotion but used force when needed and referred perps for prosecution.

Unhappy that he was caught, and that it made the papers.
Wray is corrupt, and totally political, has zero interest in law enforcement except as it can be used as a political weapon against non-Marxists.

The FBI ignored it because, try as the may, couldn't link it to Trump.
Right,Ray?

Mr. Wray, who became the FBI director in 2017, is not heartsick, furious, outraged, or bewildered enough to tender his resignation and forego his pension, they way brave members of the US military are having to do because they refuse to have substances injected into their bodies. Besides, think how much effort the FBI put into the falsified "Russian dossier" prepared at the behest of Hillary Clinton, who will never be locked up? (Who killed Seth Rich?)

Perhaps that there was a time when the FBI stood for "truth, justice, and the American way", but a look at today's political FBI makes that claim a fantasy.
Sadly, I have no respect for the FBI, and would probably claim the Fifth if one of their agents asked me for directions to the nearest restaurant.
They now are the American version of the KGB.

When I was a boy I read everything I could on the FBI. So much so I wanted to be an Agent. I have had personal experience with the FBI and let’s just say my childhood idea of the FBI being heroes is now just a fantasy. Maybe they were always frauds and phonies, but there is no question about it today. Dismantle the FBI and start over. It’s too corrupt to be cleaned at this point. Scrap it! - peacefully of course✌️

In Wray's overwrougt little speech, the KEY PHRASE is "stop THIS monster" meaning the Gymnast-Abuse Monster everyone in the world now knows about and which gives the Director the platform to go all Dirty Harry champion of justice. But what our fearless lawman DOES NOT talk about is all the other Monsters abroad in our land RIGHT NOW, Monsters everyone knows about and about whom his FBI is DOING NOTHING. Go peddle your piety somewhere else, FBI, real Americans don't believe you anymore.

If I were only a witness to a crime, I would still get an attorney to answer questions from them. They need to be disbanded or seriously be reorganized from the top down.

The source of Wray's grief? (croc·o·dile tears, /ˈkräkəˌdīl ti(ə)rz/; noun; tears or expressions of sorrow that are insincere.) It is because he suffers grief over getting caught. Again.

If this is not a case of totally incompetent and inept supervising from the top down I can’t imagine what is. Wray needs to be replaced and the lying FBI agents involved prosecuted. And how about the DOJ prosecutors who declined to do their job? They must be held to account as well.

Business as usual for the FBI.
If you have someone with privileged backers, look the other way.
The more I hear of these things the more reasonable QAnon seems. Liberal Perverts, preying upon innocence. They are more than opportunistic. They almost have to have their own special preserves where they destroy at will. They corrupt those that come to stop them - falsifying, blackmailing, slandering and libeling, having worked our laws to conceal their crimes. They are disgusting.

This was not just incompetence. They are the equivalent of the American KGB exactly like #7 says! This filthy corrupt arm of the democrat party simply chooses which cases to aggressively pursue, which cases to move like molasses on and which cases to utterly ignore. Pedophilia is not considered that awful guys - look at all the top officials of BOTH parties that have and still do ignore Biden’s disgusting in-your-face creepy touching girls on video. Why do we think the FBI was gonna jump on this right away? Many underlings in the FBI knew all about what wasn’t being done. Not one whistleblower.

Those agents didn't "let the girls down". Those agents were accomplices to the crime and co-conspirators to the cover-up.

The FBI was politicized during the Obama years. It has become obvious after the phony Trump Russian investigation, the destruction of Hillary Clintons hard drive, and the failure to investigate Hunter Biden's laptop that the FBI cannot be trusted. Now this scandal where the so called premier law enforcement agency in the national failed to act and protect innocent girls from a molester. Disband the FBI!

Did Faye Wray promise to have all FBI agents take a 1 hour training course.
Next time this happens, report that Donalf Trump was the abuser or that the perp had a pull rope that looked like a noose. Then the FBI gets right on it.

Wray was heartsick, furious, outraged, and bewildered that the Agency he headed chose to ignore sexual abuse of more than 40 young women, and to falsify the testimony of at least one of them (according to another article posted here). But in the FBI's defense, Wray should note that all Agency resources were committed at the time to wiretapping and undermining Donald Trump as a candidate, and then as president of the United States.
