I am loathe to believe anything that Woodward claims, but remember that Nasty Nanzi tried to order crew served heavy weapons to 'protect' the Capitol, and was rejected by the Pentagon. I have no doubt she is capable of this, and would have colluded with Gen. Bloated Assbag Milley.

Lindsey, what personality problems? Do you mean Trump is too truthful? Trump does not lie enough? Trump does allow too few illegal aliens into the U.S? Trump makes too many foreign covernments abide by their contractual promises? Trump does not allow China to continue to spy on us and freely disregard all of our intellectual property rights? Trump is to hard on Iran's nuclear ambitions? Trump bargains too hard negotiating federal contracts? Etc. Etc. Etc.

Former prime minister Paul Keating has slammed the new nuclear submarines deal between the US, UK and Australia, arguing the US military can't beat a bunch of Taliban rebels in pick-up trucks. In a damning assessment of the agreement jointly announced this morning by Prime Minister Scott Morrison, US President Joe Biden and UK Prime Minister Boris Johnson, Mr Keating said the deal represented a further 'dramatic loss of Australian sovereignty'. Newsom cruised to victory in the recall election Tuesday, boosted by healthy turnout among an overwhelmingly Democratic electorate, ensuring the nation’s most populous state will remain a laboratory for progressive policies. With an estimated two-thirds of ballots counted, the “no” response to the question of whether to recall Newsom was ahead by a 30-point margin.

The headline stories today are large, and so is the background as these issues surface. Context becomes increasingly important as each aspect is reviewed. As you look at the stories, remember this context (emphasized as a reminder):(snip)Factually, President Trump’s strategic approach toward foreign threats and foreign intervention (through the use of geopolitical economic pressure) was a major paradigm shift that removed the Defense Department from a primary role, and placed them back into a more appropriate ‘contingency’ role when it came to foreign policy and national security. It was obvious from the outset of the Trump administration that the Pentagon did not like that position.
