Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell on Wednesday dismissed the notion that President Biden would be impeached over the botched withdrawal from Afghanistan, arguing that a Democratic-controlled Congress would never allow it. The impeachment question came during an event in the Republican leader’s home state of Kentucky. “The president is not going to be removed from office. There’s a Democratic House, a narrowly Democratic Senate. That’s not going to happen,” Mr. McConnell said. “There isn’t going to be an impeachment.” The GOP leader added that the only way to change the direction of the country is at the ballot box. “In this country, the report card you get

So Mitch goes out to diss directly the shiny new talking points Kevin McCarthy’s team crafted for House members to use the last four days. Of course, Mitch said this because HE and the Bush globalists fo not want Joe removed from office. Who cares what evil Biden does to the nation. Joe is his long time Senate pal and that is far more important!! Plus, at least he isn’t Trump, right Mitch?

Well if botching Afghanistan isn't impeachable, I do believe that purposefully erasing our southern border and violating a Supreme Court ruling certainly are impeachable. Add in his proven corruption and it would be an outrage if the Republicans, should they take over the House, don't impeach him.

Republicans have NO LEADERS in leadership positions. McConnell is way past his sell by date. For the Republican Party to have any future McConnell and his ilk MUST GO. I will NOT DONATE to any Republican Party organizations as long as these swamp creatures are in power.

Let's be real for a moment.
1. Pelosi cheapened impeachment. Unless there is an actual conviction, its become meaningless.
2. The democrats won't allow an impeachment proceeding in the house so long as they are in the majority.
3. So long as 34 democrats refuse to convict in the senate, he won't be convicted.
4. Conducting an impeachment without having the votes is nothing more than political theater.
He's not wrong. When your in the minority, there is little that you can do, other than obstruct.

"There’s a NARROWLY Democratic House, a narrowly Democratic Senate..." 4 votes flips the house, ONE flips the Senate. Currently there are MORE elected repubs in the senate than Dems, their 'majority' is based upon 2 "socialists" that caucus with them, and Kaaama-la-la-la Harrass who can cast a tie breaking vote. Mitch could have made a fight for control of the senate by demanding that ONLY Dem vs Repub counted towards who was in control, not 3rd party. He didn't. America paid the price. Now if Biden steps aside and Kama-la-la-la assumes the throne, the tie-breaker is gone. Elected VP is 'president of the senate 'acting VP' is not.

He's probably right about the votes, but Mitch should remember that if he truly is a leader of the sorely needed Opposition, he should show some fire.

Anyone else think the main function of the GOP is to ensure no real opposition party is ever created in the United States to counter the Democrats?

Mitch's loyalty is to his bank account and his Chinese bosses. He controls most of the corrupt Republicans in the Senate. We need to replace these dirtbags with MAGA candidates. First clean up the election process by getting rid of Dominion machines and mail in ballots.
