Mitch McConnell: ‘President Is Not Going
to Be Removed from Office’

Original Article

Posted By: Skinnydip, 9/2/2021 9:48:17 AM

Sen. Mitch McConnell (R-KY) told reporters Wednesday that President Joe Biden will not “be removed from office” in wake of the deadly Afghan evacuation that left 13 U.S. military personnel killed, an estimated 200 American citizens stranded, and billions of dollars worth of equipment in the hands of the Taliban. “Well, look the president is not going to be removed from office … I think the way these behaviors get adjusted in this country is at the ballot box,” the Wall Street Journal reported McConnell’s remarks. “There isn’t going to be an impeachment,” the Kentucky Senator who lost his majority in the 2020 election cycle added.

Comments:

Really, Mitch? Last time I looked the ballot box was stuffed with bogus votes.

FTA - "Though McConnell shot down impeachment calls for the president likely due to the lack of Senate votes to do so, nearly 40 combined Senate and House Republicans have called for Biden to resign." Turtle, I am confused. So biden the cheater's reckless action that result in the murder of 13 US servicemen together with biden the cheater's donation of $85 billion of military hardware to the tollybon, and now his plan to deliver pallets of money to the tollybon, a known terrorist organization, as a ransom payment - is NOT considered an impeachable offense? But, Trump's phone call with the president of Ukraine IS an impeachable offense? Are you kidding me, Turtle? Your corruption is showing, Turtle.

He's right. Biden won't be impeached. So long as there are at least 34 democrats in the Senate, Biden is safe from "impeachment". He's more likely to be the first to be subjected to the 25th. Now, relying on the ballot box is laughable. At least not until Republicans figure out how to stuff the ballot box to overcome democrat stuffing.

Biden needs to stay in office. He's a total clown, his approval ratings are going to keep plummeting, and the more he screws up, the better the chances are that Republicans retake control. Of everything. And what happens if he's successfully removed from office? President Harris. Nooooooooo!

Don't impeach him until after we control the house and the Senate (2022) - he's the gift that will keep on giving. He is stubborn, stupid and senile a really bad combination. Does anybody think the BOTCHED Afghan withdrawal will be his worse or last catastrophe? This guy could mess up anything and will do so again.

McConnell never fails to disappoint. It may be a stretch to impeach a president for mishandling his job. After all, no one suggested that Carter should be impeached due to mishandling the Iranian hostage crisis. What infuriates is how McConnell, supposedly a master strategist and wily tactician, surrenders well before the battle is launched. He begins negotiation over the budget by announcing he won’t allow the government to be shut down. He greases the skids for the biggest spending fest in global history by supporting a phony infrastructure bill. At the very least impeachment should be held over Biden’s head for violating the law by eliminating our southern border and violating a Supreme Court ruling. His corruption is also impeachable. McConnell is weak, has no connection to Americans and has for years been humiliated by the Democrats. Why is he still leader? Why do Republican senators keep him in place? I bless President Trump for constantly pointing out how useless McConnell is.

McConnell is right. There is no way Nancy is going to allow impeachment to reach the floor of the house and no way to get 2/3rds of the Senate to convict. Many of us here have condemned the dems for wasting congress's time chasing Trump. Let's not do the same chasing Biden. He's very possibly damaging the dem brand more by staying in office.

Mitch's prediction is correct. For many reasons removal under the 25th Amendment is less likely than impeachment. Biden will not be President for four years, Most likely he will resign under hidden pressure from Democrats, and do not discount backstabbing by VP Harris. The groundwork for his resignation is evident from the increasing Biden criticism from the mainstream media, which is coming from leaks within the White House.

Of course he isn't going to be impeached; not as long as Nancy Pelosi controls the House. Remember when Rep. Al Green first (and repeatedly) brought Articles of Impeachment against President Trump? He was simply beclowning himself. Impeachment will have to wait until January 2023, and then it must be on Speaker McCarthy's agenda--right up there with kicking Swalwell off the Intelligence Committee, kicking Omar out of the House entirely, and plunking a paper shredder down in front of him at the State of the Union speech. Every time Biden finishes reading a page, there will be a whirrrrrr, and that page will be gone--much more efficient than ripping it up.

Incompetence is neither a high crime nor misdemeanor. It's not impeachable. And that's not the issue. Blame Biden, and blame the military for poor planning and execution, and blame State for its contributions, and blame the intel community for their shortcomings, and blame twenty years of bipartisan government bullstuff that our "nation building" was creating this wonderful, new Afghan society, backed by a competent government and strong US-trained National Army...all lies from every administration from Bush to Biden. Americans would rather grab the political advantage than honestly assess what we've done over the past two decades. Some said sticking around Afghanistan was a dumb thing to do...and were attacked in this salon, questioning our patriotism and worse. We just needed to SURGE...drop a few MOABS...unleash Mad Dog and Rex. And here we are. Many ready to rinse and repeat in places like Taiwan...

McConnell isn't going anywhere - he was recently re-elected and this is probably his last term. He understands that WITHOUT THE MEDIA BEHIND IT no movement for impeachment and removal, whatever the merits, will ever go anywhere in either the House or Senate. That is an intractable reality. Dumping McConnell would change that.
