Leading up to the Taliban takeover of Kabul in Afghanistan, analysts have been hailing the moment as President Biden’s Saigon, but some say the situation is far worse, including those who actually served at the fall of Saigon. Speaking with the Military Times, Larry Chambers, who served as a skipper on the aircraft carrier Midway during the fall of Saigon, said that while the two situations are strikingly similar, they are different in one key respect: Kabul is much, much worse. “To be perfectly honest with you, what is happening now is worse than what happened in Vietnam,” Chambers told the outlet.

There's no such thing as the taliban suddenly making nice with a citizenry. The rapes, mutilations. torture, and killings will be starting soon. The Afghan military brass and pilots have already run to the Uzbekistan border for hopeful refuge.

The chaos and sudden fall is ALL on the "freedom loving" Afghans. We were not there fighting for America so much as we were there TWENTY YEARS to give these people the opportunity to reform their society, to create a secure nation, and to form a government that would bring a level of national unity. They failed. What we did was far too much. We should have "won" the war and left with the proviso we will return if necessary, and let the Afghans to pick up their own pieces. We we naive and tried that "new world order" way to make the place better. We sunk American lives and over a trillion into the effort. And who failed? America only failed in that the Afghans failed themselves. They know the Taliban and its evils, and appear content to live with them.

Saigon didn't fall in a matter of days, Kabul did. This isn't just a black eye, it could every well be a mortal wound to the US. The carnage that is happening right now, the sheer terror, the blood is on the hands of every money grubbing Uniparty mouthpiece inn politics and the total political upper eschelons of the military of which Biden is now their leader. We could destroy the Taliban with the touch of one button at this very instant, we could have obliterated via torture and execution all resistance in that arsend of the world country time and again had we wanted to win, actually win a war. But winning wars doesn't enrich the Uniparty, it doesn't feed the military industrial complex that uses our children as grist for it's power mill and our tax dollars as it's slush fund. There are so many guilty parties in this that will not face justice until their Maker looks them in the face. They will die in their mansions after milking all the blood and treasure they could from this nation without a single thought for her future or the singular hope she represents on this planet. To say justice delayed angers me is a massive understatement.

Biden's push the helicopters off the aircraft carrier deck moment. If anybody can screw anything up faster than anyone else it's brainless Joe just as Obama. It only took seven and half months to get to this moment. Wow Joe great job you doing there! Are we going to get the Lyndon Johnson speech now? "I will not accept the nomination by my party to seek a second term". I'm outta' here. Joe Biden just brought back terrorism bigger and stronger than before. Isis was Obama's JV team but Joe Biden just brought in the professionals. This is what rock stars are made of. Hunter can be proud of the Big Guy now sell your art. I would be laughing if this wasn't so dangerously serious for the United States on a world stage. I can't wait to hear the first presser by Biden after this past week. It's going to be a dozy.

I was in Guam in 1975 when the USS Midway arrived from Southeast Asia. The entire Midway USN air group had been flown off to a base in the Philippines. Instead as I remember, the carrier deck was completely loaded with F-5 light fighter planes that the US had given the South Vietnamese Air Force. The story was that those aircraft, some damaged, had been flown out of South Vietnam by South Vietnamese military pilots to Thailand where the aircraft were then loaded on the Midway and were brought to Guam. At the time there were not deep water piers there that would allow a large aircraft carrier to dock at Apra Harbor and the Midway had to anchor out in the harbor. The F-5s and probably some helicopters were then barged ashore. That can’t happen in Afghanistan as Kabul is about 800 hundred miles from the sea. We also had cargo type merchant ships arrive at Guam with as many as 5,000 South Vietnamese refugees aboard, I remember on one ship that just about all the people had “pink eye” who were taken ashore and then transported to the USA. I was also on the ground in Vietnam all of 1968 so I had a pretty good idea as to what went on in Vietnam.

I have several questions about this whole Afghanistan affair. How many people comprise the Taliban? How many so called fighters do they have? Where were they hiding over the last twenty years? What was the U.S. strategy during this twenty year time frame? If the Taliban was hiding in Pakistan, did we know where they were, and why didn't we go after them? What the hell was Pakiscrap going to do, bomb us? This whole thing was a weapons testing ground for defense makers and the people who were profiting off the defense budget.

One can only imagine — this one, anyway — the withdrawal symptoms Dr. Anthony Fauci has been suffering recently as the disastrous Biden Afghanistan debacle has continued to dominate the news, 24×7. So, what’s an attention-whore to do when all of America is paying attention to something other than him? Why, make some attention-getting “news,” of course. The more Fauci-esque, the better. In an interview with CBS correspondent Nancy Cordes, the infectious diseases “expert” said it’s time for vaccine-hesitant Americans to “put aside” concerns and personal liberties to help fight against COVID-19, asserting that unvaccinated people are spreading the “highly contagious Delta variant” more so than vaccinated

Gen. Mark Milley, the chair of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, told Senators in a briefing on Sunday that terrorist groups are likely to return to Afghanistan sooner than anticipated, following the chaotic U.S. pullout and the collapse of the Afghan regime. The Times of Israel, reported: America’s top general said Sunday that the United States could now face a rise in terrorist threats from a Taliban-run Afghanistan. That warning comes as intelligence agencies charged with anticipating those threats face new questions after the US-backed Afghan military collapsed with shocking speed.

he COVID pandemic has witnessed the exercise of state “police powers” on a scale and scope unprecedented in America’s peacetime history. Out of fear of contagion, massive amounts of private property in the form of shops, restaurants, bars, and other businesses were peremptorily seized and shuttered. The rights of landlords to collect rents and evict tenants were suspended. The ability of people to cross from one state to another was hobbled by regulations, quarantines, and delays. And most of this was accomplished by governors and mayors acting by decree, with only the most tenuous of statutory authorizations. Initially implemented for what was to have been a brief period of medical

Dr. Anthony Fauci has doubled down on his support for local vaccine mandates to compel the vax-skeptical to take the jab against their wishes. As the national debate over mandatory vaccines continues to rage, Democrats are doing their best to force or coerce people into being vaccinated — instead of letting it be a personal choice. During an appearance on NBC’s “Meet the Press,” Fauci discussed the ongoing issues with the COVID-19 pandemic, with the conversation focusing largely on the Delta variant. Media activist Chuck Todd opened by asking Fauci about the confusion in the information coming from the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) as to whether

The University of Wisconsin removed a controversial boulder from its Madison campus Friday after the Black Student Union and other activists objected to its description nearly 100 years ago with a racial slur. Chamberlin Rock, which rests atop Observatory Hill, is named after a 19th Century geologist and former university president, Thomas Crowder Chamberlin, whose work centered on glacial deposits, according to a bio on the university’s website. But it was a reporter’s reference to the rock in a nearly century-old Wisconsin State Journal article that prompted the push for its removal. In October 1925, the university had the boulder excavated and placed prominently atop the hill to honor Chamberlin,

Joe Biden and his media acolytes call him Mr. Empathy and Mr. Compassion. His Afghanistan speech yesterday told a different story, and should end that phony spin forever. My takeaway was how cold, and hard, and compassionless Biden was as he sought to extricate himself from the catastrophe of his own making. He blamed everyone but himself for his failure, particularly the Afghan army. He smarmily assured terrified Afghanis left behind he'd now speak out for their human rights instead of actually protect them. He effectively told U.S. servicemembers their service was for nothing. It was appalling.
