John R. Bolton says the calamitous U.S. withdrawal from Afghanistan will go down in history as “the Trump-Biden policy.” Mr. Bolton, who served as former President Trump’s national security adviser, said in a Daily Telegraph op-ed that Mr. Biden’s approach to withdrawing troops from Afghanistan was “virtually indistinguishable from Donald Trump’s.” The former adviser, though, said Mr. Biden’s insistence that Mr. Trump left him with only two bad options—“follow Trump’s blueprint or else considerably increase US combat forces in Afghanistan”—is a “strawman argument” and “palpably false.” Mr. Bolton, who has been an outspoken Trump critic since he was pushed out of the White House

Hey Johnnie boy! With President Trump's "working with taliban", no Americans were murdered. Close out day May 31, 20-21. Biden goes on air and says no the taliban will not be able to take Kabul. The Ghannis had 300K well equiped (with our guns ammo, tanks, 2010 when the JV's invaded Iraq) therefore 75K talibans would be greatly outnumbered. (My words as I heard PJ say so on TV). Demented old gaseous producing president. And the Generals. I guess the ribbons on Milley's chest were for being a woke soldier. Damnable.

Biden reversed every Trump policy that he could. As commander-in-chief, he could have reversed this one as well. He gambled that people would believe Trump would have had the same result. No matter what the ultimate outcome, Trump would never have allowed Kabul to have been taken while American personnel were in the area. Biden's disappearing act enhances his aura of incompetence.

The Afghans' failure is NOT an American failure. I don't know what a continued Afghanistan occupation was expected to accomplish. The US military spent twenty years training and supporting a national security force. That force was well-equipt, at least until the government bigwigs started packing the currency for their bug-out and the supply line supposedly dried. It should have been able to go toe-to-toe with the Taliban. We owe them nothing. They were the masters of their own fate...and now they are meeting it.

Not fair to blame Trump. It depends on how it is done. There is a right way and a wrong way to do things. I don’t see the media interviewing DJT on how he would have done it differently. Also, Biden didn’t have to do it this way. This is all on Biden.

Trump was building coalitions in the Mid East and his withdrawal plan would have had contingencies to prevent the debacle we are watching unfold. Taliban know that Biden talks softly and carries a limp d**k, so they moved quickly knowing there would be no response. There has been no US response and our Executive Branch has gone into hiding as the entire world watches. Sorry John, you can't pin this on DJT.

Mr. Comer and the committee’s other Republicans are concerned that CMS’ own data shows that more than $57 billion was spent on improper Medicaid payments in fiscal 2019 and nearly $87 billion in fiscal 2020, accounting for one of every five Medicaid payments.
