George Takei says people ‘willfully
unvaccinated’ from COVID should
be last in line for priority care

Original Article

Actor and activist George Takei on Sunday said that the “willfully unvaccinated” who refuse to be inoculated against coronavirus should be last in line for priority care. “The willfully unvaccinated who wind up in hospitals from Covid should not receive priority medical care over other very sick or injured people who are as much in urgent need of medical care,” the actor known as Lieutenant Sulu for his years on “Star Trek” said on Twitter. He followed that with, “Anti-vaxxers think they are owning us liberals by refusing to get vaccinated. But as the kids say, this is an epic self-own.”

Look around at the shape the world is in now. Do you really think that the Sneetches with and the Sneetches without is really that important now? Maybe the world would be in better shape if people respected each others choices and go on with their own lives.

I don't agree with Takei's position. But going unvaccinated DOES present REAL problems in REAL hospitals and REAL emergency rooms. Hospitals and ERs in at least some communities are at full capacity -- largely from having to treat COVID patients. And nearly all such COVID patients (i.e., 90+ percent) are unvaccinated. Folks with non-COVID emergencies cannot be seen; they cannot get a bed. This situation could be avoided if more people were vaccinated. My other half is a physician. He could not get one of his patients admitted -- she couldn't breathe -- for hours and hours because both the hospital floors and ER were maxed out. She's lucky to be alive. Why was the place backed up? Unvaxxed.

#12, you and your other half are looking in the wrong place to lay your Covid blame and shame. The narrative is that the unvaxxed are spreading the new variant. The truth is that it is the vaccinated whose systems have created Delta and are the superspreaders here, and they are right on schedule. The medical community, the government and the general public were warned of this little “gift” from the mRNA technology, with an estimated timeline of 6-18 months before it hit. It happened in all the animal experiments before they decided to use humans as their targets. Add to that, mismanagement of hospital and clinic personnel and you have a recipe for disaster. The situation would NOT “be avoided if more people were vaccinated.” It would be even worse.

And many other doctors have quit. However, I can see a PA who doesn't understand what the medications do and tells me I'm diabetic when my blood tests clearly indicate I'm not. #12. It is their job. Not an easy job right now, granted. It is a job they trained for. Hospitals may hate covid - I do. But their job is to treat it. Effectively. Not with political science, but with effective medical science. Ivermectin, Hydroxycloroquine and at the last option the murderous vaccine. The simplest thing is always best. When driving - drive. Yo, George. Stick to the Star Trek universe. I guess you’re just trying to stay relevant. If you had bothered to do any research the so-called vaccine wears off after a few months but the unpublished side effects don’t. Only a few members of my (extended) family got the shot and those with negative side effects out number the ones without. Ironically, non had any underlying co-morbiditis. A sister in law ended up with an elevated red blood cell count. Another kept having strange symptoms. My wife’s knuckles swelled a full ring size and she’s had a profound memory loss. The neurologist says it’s because of stress, but she’s been under a lot of stress for a long time, and the memory loss occurred right after her second jab. Ironically, she didn’t need the shot because she was already immune. My zombie 🧟‍♀️ in a lab coat tried to scare me into getting the jab but I knew he was at least wrong if not lying as soon as he started shouting me down. Maybe that’s what happened to you and you are too proud to admit you were hoodwinked!

As to the first statement, there are plenty of examples of police officers firing multiple shots at a suspected threat. In the past year, the American public has been thoroughly able to parse through the shootings of criminals like Breonna Taylor and Antonio Brown, to name just two examples.

There was some discussion on Twitter recently about whether President Joe Biden nodded off during an Oval Office meeting with Israeli Prime Minister Naftali Bennett. Watch Biden's public appearance with Bennett on this C-Span video . The president appeared exhausted, just as he appeared exhausted a day earlier when he delivered remarks on the deaths of 13 American military men and women killed by a suicide bomber during
