President Joe Biden delivered a speech of quiet fury at the White House on Monday, defending his decision to bring home U.S. troops before blaming Afghan leaders for their failure to prevent the country collapsing. 'I stand squarely behind my decision,' Biden said. 'After 20 years I've learned the hard way. That there was never a good time to withdraw U.S. forces.' It was the first time the president had spoken publicly about the unfolding crisis in six days. He was forced to return from Camp David amid hostile headlines about his absence from Washington while Americans were being rescued from Kabul airport.

I feel like I’m in the Twilight Zone, And Xiden’s demeanor during this speech reinforces the disconnect people have w him: i .e., does he really have dementia (yes, I believe he does). But it’s hard to explain his glibness in reading his ‘prompter today and juxtapose that image with the bumbling fool who goes through the bushes. And today he came across as BELIEVING everything he was saying, (I’m confused)

Interesting that biden the cheater made the assertion during his 15-minute tirade that he did not want a fifth U.S. president to have to deal with the Afghan war. Wonder if this is a hint that he plans to resign soon or before his term is up. Xiden, why the bug out for camp david? Easier to manage the sundowning there?

Most of America (about 90%) always knew that Afghanistan was going to topple again --- it was just a matter of time. However, it was the way it fell down that was totally unprepared for and that fact is now so upsetting. It just smacks of downright betrayal. An orderly bug-out was never planned or prepared for by Biden. Trump told the Taliban leaders if they attacked us as we drew down our forces, he'd bomb them to Kingdom Come. They believed him --- they don't believe China Joe. What a slap in the face to our dead and wounded! And if I was the leader of Taiwan I'd be sick to my stomach as that island is next. The Taliban are like Al Capone. They are not interested in running for Mayor --- but they are interested in running the place. They will use brute force to do so. They are a maundering herd of wild animals with weapons. And they will roll over an area like locusts. Genghis Khan has nothing on them. Just as violent and just as inhuman.

This man has ALWAYS been despicable, and the Press and others looked the other way this last round (what excuses them for all the earlier years? "Lovable ole Joe?") no matter what: impending senility, cooperation (probably the instigator) of Hunter Biden's bagman tour, lies and rampant plagiarism, sniffing hair plus a reputable accusation of rape, etc. Hating Trump (but maybe not his policies, which were bearing real financial and security fruit) was the reason. Today Twitter is allowing a Taliban leader to post but not Trump et al.

That decision has proven to be crucial, as it left Afghanistan with no U.S. military support and now leaves the civilians stranded there with one option: to try to get to the Kabul international airport through Taliban checkpoints. The U.S. government issued a statement saying that it cannot guarantee

Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) posted a video on social media on Wednesday in which she called President Joe Biden “a piece of sht.” The video was posted on Gettr, a new social media platform launched by former Donald Trump adviser Jason Miller. “Joe Biden, you’re not a president,” she said in the 17-second video filmed at a gym. “You’re a piece of sht. Thousands of Americans are stuck over there in Afghanistan and you’re letting the Taliban kick your ass while you’re lecturing governors about masks and vaccines. Do your job. Bring these Americans home.”

The pending report from special counsel John Durham, who was tasked with investigating the origins of the FBI’s Trump-Russia probe, should be released to the public, demanded Senate Republicans in a letter this week. More than 40 GOP senators, including Minority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.), signed a letter to Attorney General Merrick Garland asking that Durham, a former U.S. attorney, should be allowed to continue his investigation and his report released to the public. There have been questions about whether Durham’s investigation will lack funding past the end of the federal government’s fiscal year on Sept. 30.

The Biden administration on Thursday struggled to speed up evacuations of as many as 80,000 Americans and Afghan allies — with the suddenly pressing effort being marred by obstacles ranging from red tape and visa paperwork problems to massive crowds and often violent Taliban checkpoints that barred entry.Even American citizens with valid passports fear making the perilous journey to the airport for fear of the armed Taliban fighters who surround the Kabul airport.David Marshall Fox, an American who moved to Afghanistan in 2013, told The Post on Thursday that he’s abandoned hope of getting onto an evacuation flight, saying the danger of his young son getting shot

Jim Geraghty’s written two posts today making the case that something is up. I’m not sold on his first post. His second is more persuasive. The first post argues that Biden’s chat with George Stephanopoulos was filled with enough contradictions and awkward stammering that, paired with his low visibility lately, we might reasonably conclude that his health has become an issue. Whether you agree comes down to a gut check on how you felt about the interview. I didn’t see it as out of the ordinary for Biden. His answers were emphatically not good but he didn’t seem checked out to me. If anything, he was combative

It seems that Alan Dershowitz’s ties to the Trump administration have made him persona non grata among the Martha’s Vineyard elite — including Larry David.A Page Six spy spotted the Harvard Law professor — who was once, like David, a fully paid-up member of the Democrat cool kids — bumping into the comic on the porch of the island’s picturesque convenience store and community hub Chilmark General Store, and found their exchange so bizarre that they “wrote it down to remember it.”Page Six strongly recommends that readers enjoy the following while
