US Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin reportedly said he was 'beyond disappointed' with the Afghan army's capitulation to the Taliban and added: 'You can't buy willpower, and you can't buy leadership.' The Pentagon chief is said to have made remarks during a call with other US government members Sunday, as the Afghan capital began to fall to the Taliban, its US embassy closed, and the number of American troops deployed there rose by 1,000 to 6,000. Austin and fellow intelligence officials blame the Afghan army for not opposing the Taliban in a more prominent way, FOX News reported.

You can't buy competence, either, Lloyd. All those Afghan troops gave up because they know that they won't have any backup from you and your fellow woke Americans. Just like Vietnam, you get us in to these fights and then give up and leave the natives on their own.

Austin, are you equally disappointed in how biden the cheater telegraphed the bug out plan last month to the taliban by signaling exactly when and how the bug out would be carried out? Are you also surprised at how the taliban preempted biden the cheater's bug out plan?

Donald Trump: OK, Taliban, if you even think of trying it, you are all dead!!! And they didn't try it for 4 years!!!

This is a reflection on Washington military leadership.
If this "military" man had been a serious person rather than CRT training
and wearing a plastic shield for the flu, then maybe the Afghans would have been trained better.
These poor people are going to have their heads cut off, but he's disappointed.

I guess Austin hadn't gotten around to " weeding out " the undesirables from the Afgan army. What with CRT and all Austin has a lot on his plate.

You also can't buy common sense, which is why we are in this disaster. Even with 2,500 troops remaining in Afghanistan at the end of Trump's term, the Taliban did not try this. Giving them an end-date was effectively like putting a big note on the front door saying, "We will be leaving on vacation next Tuesday, and will not return for a month. There is beer in the fridge and the key is under the mat."

Perhaps the fault of their army was that, unlike Lloyd Austin's shop, they don't peddle racebaiiting and free cosmetic surgeries for transgender soldiers, etc. THAT would have supplied some real backbone to those Afghan soldiers!

Austin Powerless and Thoroughly Modern Milley - - what a pair of nincompoops!
I suppose the Afghan army had a lot more "willpower" when President Trump was in charge. I suppose that's why the taliban were as meek as sheep during those four years - - because they feared the Afghan army's "willpower."
But don't expect any of these nincompoop clowns to be fired - - look for promotions - - and fawning interviews with the lying, fake media.

He can show his disappointment by relieving the CJCS, CENTCOM and JCS J3. Our military has spent the last 8 months fretting over imaginary white supremacy while the Taliban was on the move.
Heads need to roll.

I don't feel that good about making a mess like we did. I feel bad for the Afghans who are going to pay with their lives. I DO HOPE WE JUST GET OUT! Left Afghanistan take care of Afghanistan. We need Trump back before they wreck the rest of the world.

Without his saying so, Austin is admitting the Taliban are taking over Afghanistan because (with minor exceptions) the Afghan Army will not fight. They will not risk their lives. They are letting the Taliban take control and hoping for the best. The mainstream media is playing up that the takeover is peaceful. It's peaceful only because there's no resistance.

Lloyd, you use coercion to make your troops get vaccinated, to take racial and diversity training. It seems the only willpower is you. Why don't you coerce the Taliban?

Austin, you jackass were teaching our troops some race crap over here whilst other 'stuff' was apparently beneath you, or you would have noticed how poorly this whole job was planned andpulled off. The entire US is thoroughly disappointed in you. And you are right, you can't buy will power. You ain't got it!!! Or brains for that matter!

I'm still waiting for someone to answer this question: How did current SecDef Lloyd Austin "win" the SILVER STAR, America's thrid highest award for VALOR in COMBAT, while a General and Assistant Division Commander in Iraq? I plan to make this comment every time his name comes up in an article until someone answers my question. Does anyone have the citation for his brave act?

#20 nails it. Twenty years of the US military training these people up close and personal, coupled with the insights of the same brilliant big-picture agency minds that were blindsided by the collapse of the Soviet Union, and now the experts are all shocked at what many of us predicted all along as the inevitable outcome. Muslims are aligned with Islam and have no interest in Western values, least of all the vital lessons in Diversity and Gay Pride we probably taught them, same as we teach our own troops.
