White House Calls on OPEC+ to
Boost Production as Gasoline Prices Soar

Original Article

WASHINGTON—Worried about rising gas prices, the Biden administration has called on oil-producing countries including Saudi Arabia and Russia to raise their oil production. Strong recovery in global demand and slow growth in supplies have been pushing crude oil prices higher in recent months. National security adviser Jake Sullivan issued a statement on Aug. 11 asking the Organization of the Petroleum Exporting Countries and Russia (OPEC+) to address rising gasoline costs. “Higher gasoline costs, if left unchecked, risk harming the ongoing global recovery,” Sullivan warned.

Comments:

Biden & Co make no sense. We are awash in oil.

There are legitimately automobiles from seven different decades (1950s - 2020s) licensed and in daily use in all 50 states. Despite Biden trying to expedite the elimination of the internal combustion engine, there can be no quick replacement of cars, trucks, motorcycles, and hundreds of other hydrocarbon powered devices used daily in our country, so the rapid destruction of our domestic energy producers is beyond stupid, even if you are a progressive democrat. You still need easy transport to the next riot, election theft, human smuggling business, and other similar activities. Democrats are not only hypocrites, they are very stupid hypocrites.

#5 - what’s to stop them from outlawing cars over a certain age? Think of the boost to the economy when millions of us have to pony up for a slick new electric vehicle. Then they can send all our trade in’s to Central America so those folks will stay home in their new, vibrant economies. Every one wins.

Re #10 - My point was the sheer volume of automobiles being driven by progressives as well as normal Americans. For example, just since 2010, around 68,201,000 cars have been sold in the U.S. During that decade, there was a downward trend in annual car sales. Add light truck sales and the numbers more than double. There is no way to rapidly (3 to 5 years) produce the even just the electric car batteries necessary to replace the cars and pickups sold over the last ten years. Biden urging OPEC to ramp oil production is a signal that even he knows that internal combustion engines cannot be quickly replaced and his constituent trust fund commies, like normal Americans, must have their cars to get them where they must go for the economy and society to avoid implosion.

Joe, Joe, Joe..... A much simpler way to fix this would be to reverse your stupid, idiotic, uncalled for, Executive Orders shutting down pipeline construction in the US, further oil leases in the US, banning drilling in certain places in the US, and all of the other successful Trump energy successes that you stopped just because you could. Gas prices are rising fast because of your policies (or lack of policy) Joe. Before you were inaugurated in January, the US was energy independent. You created this crisis, just like you created the crisis at the border. This is a problem that did not need to occur. You made this happen. Own it! Reverse Your poor decisions and allow US to become energy independent again!

OPEC is not going to raise production and lower prices until one of two things happens: 1) They are threatened to do so, or 2) They are bribed to do so. Not-my-president Lyin' Joe biden is a pipsqueak who doesn't have the cajones to threaten anyone and actually follow through with it. Automakers in North America plan to build more pickup trucks and sport utility vehicles than electric vehicles well into the late 2020s, with strong consumer demand for gasoline-powered vehicles charting sales trends that run counter to the Biden administration’s goal of boosting electric vehicles (EVs) to half the market by 2030, according to internal production forecasts reported on by Reuters. President Joe Biden signed an executive order earlier in August establishing the goal of making half of all new vehicles sold in the United States either hybrid or fully electric by 2030. Biden’s order also set a new schedule for the development of new long-term fuel efficiency and emissions standards

What will it take for Joe Biden to admit he is disastrously wrong about Afghanistan? The US leader struck a defiant pose last week. Without the love. Biden has more hands-on foreign policy experience than any president since George HW Bush. That doesn’t mean he knows what he’s doing. Opinion polls suggest his abrupt Afghan withdrawal has majority public support. That doesn’t mean Americans will remain indifferent as the carnage and misery mount.
