Dan Bongino has what he calls his 48-hour rule: Don’t run with an “amazing” story before 48 hours have passed, allowing the facts to emerge. Many of Bongino’s fans would have done well to remember that when Liz Harrington, Trump’s spokesperson, pointed out that Fox News had deleted from the video of Bongino’s phone interview with Trump the part at which Trump referred to election fraud. In fact, there was a good reason for that cut, but Bongino got a lot of hate mail before he could explain. I’ll explain below the three takeaway lessons from this whole experience.

Andrea Widburg is exactly correct in her summation. Fox should stop using YouTube. Short of that they should have inserted a notice saying why the video was edited and point the finger back at YouTube. They should never edit the content without telling the host. Bongino was caught unawares and you could tell on his Monday morning show he was peeved. It would have been better if Trumps spox had contacted Bongino before she tweeted but maybe it's a lesson she's learned also.

The takeaway is that we are surrendering our rights to "Big Tech". We are allowing them to determine what information we can see and hear. We are allowing them to censor our thoughts, opinions, and words. We are allowing them to completely control the narrative. No one is defending our rights against this assault and "Big Tech" along with government officials have created a climate of fear and cancel that doe not allow to even network to stand up against this without fear of being publicly shamed or have some government organization monitor us. Continuing along this path leads to 1) box cars for those deemed unfit to be part of this "new" society or 2) existence under a regime that makes the Stasi regime look mild and tame.

Oh poop! Fox knew exactly what google/youtube would do. They did NOT provide the disclaimer, so they knowingly allowed big tech to do their dirty work. How convenient! Fox is the responsible one on this action. Dan is sorta of an innocent participate. He knows full well the issues with Trump and the fact that anything connected to the voter fraud is censored by fox! Yes fox will not allow such discussions. So why the heck is Dan on fox? Money of course. If you work for fox you must take the heat. Fox allowed the technies to do their dirty work with full knowledge of what would happen and so did Dan. I love him but when you lay down with dogs you will get fleas...yep.

Fox has some really good conservative persons, like Dan Bongino. However Fox also has Paul Ryan behind the scenes. Never forget that Paul Ryan refused to support President Trump's agenda when he was the speaker of the house.

I don't watch Fox at all I started backing away in 2015. I would have missed it anyway. Who determines off limits or proper? All people should shun venues that will cut or censor their speech. Never visit an enemy camp it's a dumb move. In this case Youtube prevailed.

I have an idea:
Why dont we all post 5 minute long "videos" with a black screen and the following message:
XYZ(youtube, facebook, etc) Does not permit the display or publication of legal speech, protected by the 1st Amendment. This public service announcement is in place of the interesting and politically pertinent message.

Imbed the above in any section where you need to edit your video to meet their "standards".

One of Ann Coulter's pieces was run in in Breitbart a couple of weeks ago and it was heavily edited to exclude parts that weren't flattering to some readers. It's becoming a common trend. Can't wait until the classics are offered to students only on line and in an edited form.

If Fox was going to post to YouTube, it should have posted the entire interview and then stood up to "big tech" for deleting the posting and/or suspending Fox. As it was, Fox went the cowards way; being the submissive party in the interaction.

Less than a year ago, Fox was in the vanguard of nullifying the votes of traditional Americans and queering the re-election of President Trump. Many conservative Trump supporters refuse to give up their Fox, even as they gripe about the Biden administration's deliberate but quick march to communism. I guess some folks view giving up Fox as their modern "Valley Forge" trial, one they are doomed to fail, not because they are freezing from the cold and weak from starvation but because it's simply too danged inconvenient to give up on Fox, Tucker, and their other celebrities of choice, as Fox desperately tries to regain its seat at the cool kid's table.

I think I know Dan well enough to know that he'll have someone assigned to monitor all screwtube vids attributed to him so he can be the one to blow the whistle next time.
We who used to be referred to as conservatives when conserving the status quo meant conserving the constitution and the rights it respected and protected, are so thirsty for a voice we are easily pandered to and manipulated by smart marketeers. If I were to stake a cherished, albeit at this stage of life arguably obsolete, body part on one person in the public sphere who is who he presents himself to be, a defender of God given rights, it is Dan Bongino.

If Fox has to make special edits to post things on You Tube it shouldn't be posting things on You Tube. This is a poor excuse.

I thoroughly agree with #3. How far we have fallen since the passing of two icons: Breitbart and Rush.

Enough of this! Google is not a person. Some PERSON deleted the offensive Trump remarks. Who?
May we not know the name of the Google person? Or is this also censored?
Come on. Companies do not act. They are not people. People in the companies act, on behalf of the Company. That is no secret.
We pay for Google. Should we not know who we are paying?
How does the person who did the censoring benefit? Cash payment? Promotion? Status? Inquiring minds want to know.
