Black Rifle Coffee is a premium, small-batch, roast-to-order, veteran-owned coffee company based out of Utah. It has seen tremendous success over the past couple of years and has been dubbed the conservative alternative to Starbucks. But social media has been abuzz over the past few days regarding an interview Black Rifle CEO Evan Hafer gave to the New York Times Magazine. In response to the interview, The Post Millennial wrote that Black Rifle “goes woke, throws customers under the bus in bizarre NYT interview.” In addition, Newsmax said the company had called out some of its customers as “a repugnant group of people.”

When he said "racists and anti Semites" he must mean Conservatives! Charlottesville all over again.

If you are a conservative, you'd be a fool to have anything to do with the NYT, CNN. the WaPo.

Does interview with NYT. Promotes said article. Does not dispute any of said article in all of his social media. Blows up in his face. NOW disavows. F BRC. Did it to themselves.

As soon as the New Yawk Slimes called him, Evan Hafer should have hung up the phone. No one should EVER give an interview to them. Even if you don't give them any quotes they can use to make you look bad, they'll make some up.

#7, Kurt is now unblocked.
Either way, pretty stupid marketing move on his part. How many metrosexual limp-wrists and 200 lb. Karens drank BRCC in the first place, and were likely to change?

As Mr. Limbaugh once said "you are not going to win these people over and they are not interested in what you say" avoid them !

Too Little, Too Late. Like everyone in this post has said….Interview with NYT? Stick a fork in this dude. His luck ran out. He’s compared with upscale, liberal Starbucks, but on the conservative side. Starbucks is not something you want to be compared with ——in any fashion. Haste la vista, baby!!

This is the second time BRC went woke and then walked back their statements and actions after an intense backlash. The first time I gave them the benefit of the doubt, because I really wanted to believe them. Not happening the second time.
They are a bunch of damn fakes. Talk a great game, but when it comes down to it people can see them for what they are. Their whole online persona is an ACT. I will not be fooled again.
They had the golden goose, and squandered it by trying to appeal to those that wouldn't urinate upon them if they were on fire. I have had it with virtue-signalers, as much as I have had it with press liars.

Looks like the real BRCC showed up. The guys had a good grift going and just couldn’t avoid showing their ankles to the lustful NYT.

I agree with #3 (don't consort with the likes of the NYT), and I DID have a feeling something wasn't right about the Post Millennial story—I didn't pass it to friends.
Dealing with the NYT brings to mind the old story about a traveler helping a deadly scorpion (or snake, etc.) after much pleading. The scorpion kills the Good Samaritan after getting the help it sought, and to the dying Samaritan's question Why, says "You knew I was a scorpion when you picked me up."
So it is with much of the poisonous media. They might lead with something suggesting they've had a conservative (or moderate) epiphany, but it's just click bait. They always end up at the same fetid watering hole.

Hafer isn't very smart if he thought he'd win points by disparaging some of his customer base. Strong statements like he made typically provoke a strong reaction which is exactly what happened. Better he would have said something like "we don't support extremism of any kind, and we're not responsible for the behavior of anyone who wears our clothing or uses our products," and then refused to comment further. He wouldn't be in the pickle he's in if he'd used some common sense.

No such thing as bad publicity?
All this noise strikes me as a cynical marketing ploy.
Maybe it works, I hope not.

In commenting on the first article, I said that I could not tell "WHO" this guy was running down, "WHO" he wanted rid of. It seemed to me to be VERY unclear while everyone was getting hot under the collar.
But...I haven't paid much attention, don't buy coffee.

This is disgraceful and I am embarrassed that conservatives were so easily played by the NYT and are piling on this guy like self-righteous saints who are unaware of how the liberal media works. Sometimes we are own worse enemies. Please stop with the sanctimonious crap.

I agree with other posters. BRC cowered like a jellyfish when Kyle Rittenhouse really needed support, it spoke volumes, and that was not "misinformation."
Sales must be tanking, and now it's time for damage control. Typical.
