Black Rifle Coffee Did NOT Go Woke;

Black Rifle Coffee is a premium, small-batch, roast-to-order, veteran-owned coffee company based out of Utah. It has seen tremendous success over the past couple of years and has been dubbed the conservative alternative to Starbucks. But social media has been abuzz over the past few days regarding an interview Black Rifle CEO Evan Hafer gave to the New York Times Magazine. In response to the interview, The Post Millennial wrote that Black Rifle “goes woke, throws customers under the bus in bizarre NYT interview.” In addition, Newsmax said the company had called out some of its customers as “a repugnant group of people.”

This is the second time BRC went woke and then walked back their statements and actions after an intense backlash. The first time I gave them the benefit of the doubt, because I really wanted to believe them. Not happening the second time. They are a bunch of damn fakes. Talk a great game, but when it comes down to it people can see them for what they are. Their whole online persona is an ACT. I will not be fooled again. They had the golden goose, and squandered it by trying to appeal to those that wouldn't urinate upon them if they were on fire. I have had it with virtue-signalers, as much as I have had it with press liars.

I agree with #3 (don't consort with the likes of the NYT), and I DID have a feeling something wasn't right about the Post Millennial story—I didn't pass it to friends. Dealing with the NYT brings to mind the old story about a traveler helping a deadly scorpion (or snake, etc.) after much pleading. The scorpion kills the Good Samaritan after getting the help it sought, and to the dying Samaritan's question Why, says "You knew I was a scorpion when you picked me up." So it is with much of the poisonous media. They might lead with something suggesting they've had a conservative (or moderate) epiphany, but it's just click bait. They always end up at the same fetid watering hole.

Hafer isn't very smart if he thought he'd win points by disparaging some of his customer base. Strong statements like he made typically provoke a strong reaction which is exactly what happened. Better he would have said something like "we don't support extremism of any kind, and we're not responsible for the behavior of anyone who wears our clothing or uses our products," and then refused to comment further. He wouldn't be in the pickle he's in if he'd used some common sense.

A Coptic Christian church was recently burned to the ground—not in Egypt, where the torching of Coptic churches is not an uncommon occurrence, but in Canada, also known as “the church-burning centre of the Western world.” In the early morning hours of July 19, St. George Coptic Orthodox Church in Surrey, which served 500 families and provided food for the homeless, was set aflame and completely destroyed. Only one charred wall remains standing. The attempt was blocked by the Treasury Department during the Trump administration. The Department of Justice previously said that refusal did not violate

On September 14, Californians of all political persuasions will answer two questions on their ballot: 1) Do you want to recall Gov. Gavin Newsom? 2) Whom do you want to replace him? The fate of our nation will be determined by the outcome of those two questions. How can I say that? First, you have to know what's really going on, so let's pull back the curtain. Months ago, Ric Grenell publicly said he had no interest in running for governor because Pelosi's daughter said there wasn't going to be a recall. Perhaps Frank Luntz is just another victim of Trump Derangement Syndrome. Since the 2016 election, it seems he is far more interested in tut-tutting the Republican base than he is in finding out what we think. The GOP should have been over him in December of 2020 when he poll-tested words to get Americans to comply with lockdowns and masks. His study, in conjunction with the Beaumont Foundation, found that Republicans were particularly skeptical of these COVID-19 mitigation strategies. Luntz came up with some ridiculous suggestions: Survey respondents had a much more positive reaction to the term “stay-at-home order.” “Calling it a lockdown brings to mind jailing your population,” Luntz said.

The National Football League (NFL) recently joined virtually every other American institution in lauding — and marketing to — the LGBT community during Pride Month in June. It did so by releasing a new 30-second commercial proudly proclaiming that "football is gay, lesbian, queer, transgender, bisexual and exciting." The ad begins by stating "football is gay" to the sound of drums rolling and people cheering. (I'm not sure what Dick Butkus would have to say about this advertisement, but I digress.) [Tweet] The ad is in part a direct response to Las Vegas Raiders defensive end Carl Nassib's recent announcement that he is gay, a league spokesperson said.

One of the most obvious misconceptions about liberals today is that they personify tolerance. The Oxford English Dictionary defines tolerance as "the ability or willingness to tolerate something, in particular the existence of opinions or behavior that one does not necessarily agree with. A recent poll by the Survey Center on American Life at the American Enterprise Institute found that Democrats are twice as likely as Republicans to report ending a friendship over a political disagreement (20% versus 10%). Liberals are also "far more likely than conservatives are to say they are no longer friends with someone due to political differences" (28% versus 10%).
