When I read “To Kill A Mockingbird” for the first time--and every time since--I invariably pictured my father as Atticus Finch.(Snip)After I read of how Atticus gently sat Scout down on the porch swing and explained our imperfect world to her childish ears, I thought of each time my dad would do the same when I discovered some new hurt or crisis. His explanations of the deep obligations of integrity sounded like the heartfelt lessons in which my dad explained to me the importance of doing what’s right.(Snip)My dad taught me to respect and expect integrity, sacrifice, and wisdom from men.

Why us? Of all the fairgrounds in all the towns in all the country, why is former President Donald Trump coming to the Lorain County Fairgrounds?(Snip)The problem is that Trump is not your normal ex-president turned elder statesman. He has taken a sledgehammer to the foundation of democracy. He has continued to insist that the 2020 election was stolen from him, despite no evidence of widespread voter fraud.(Snip) He called his followers to Washington on Jan. 6 for a rally(Snip)He and his allies gave speeches in which they argued that the election was stolen before sending the enraged crowd marching toward the Capitol.

COLUMBUS, Ohio - No employer, either public or private, could require employees to receive vaccinations under GOP legislation pending in the Ohio House. Also, workers could not be fired as a result of refusing. The measure before the Republican-controlled House Health Committee has attracted multiple opponents of COVID-19 vaccines but goes further in addressing mandatory requirements for all vaccines, such as for the flu. "I believe in vaccines and scientific research. I also recognize that vaccination is a personal choice and that, for a variety of reasons, not all Ohioans can or want to receive vaccines," said Rep. Jennifer Gross, a Republican from West Chester

And the absurdity just keeps coming. The latest organization to act as the speech police for its employees is the Federal Reserve. The Fed’s employees are reportedly being trained to “avoid bias” in their language, including avoidance of terms like “Founding Fathers” and “grandfathered.” (Snip) “Bias-free language recognizes diversity and avoids stereotyping, demeaning, or excluding people on the basis of gender, race, ethnic group, religion, age, ability/disability, or sexual orientation,” the guidance states. (Snip) According to Fox News, a Federal Reserve spokesman claims that “The Federal Reserve has no language directives for employees.”

This week, it is being reported the White House is moving forward with removing a health care policy established by President Donald Trump designed to bring down the price of insulin and epi-pens. Biden’s bid to retract the rule was approved on Monday, as reported by Politico, with the expectation that the Department of Health and Human Services could publish the retraction within the coming days. The measure, signed off on under the previous administration in December, aimed to require some 340B community health centers to deliver savings to low-income patients for insulin and epinephrine in a bid to bring down unaffordable prices.

On May 31, 2020, Antifa/Black Lives Matter-led rioters set the historic St. John’s Church in Washington, D.C. on fire during a night of particularly vicious rioting that had the city looking like an apocalyptic war zone.(Snip)Here we are a year later, and an IG report released just today confirms Trump and Barr were telling the truth the entire time:(Snip)The evidence we obtained did not support a finding that the USPP cleared the park to allow the President to survey the damage and walk to St. John’s Church.

Gilles Demaneuf is a data scientist with the Bank of New Zealand in Auckland. He was diagnosed with Asperger’s Syndrome ten years ago, and believes it gives him a professional advantage. “I’m very good at finding patterns in data, when other people see nothing,”(Snip)Early last spring, as cities worldwide were shutting down to halt the spread of COVID-19, Demaneuf, 52, began reading up on the origins of SARS-CoV-2, the virus that causes the disease.(Snip)If the lab-leak explanation proves accurate, history may credit Demaneuf and his fellow doubters for breaking the dam--not that they have any intention of stopping.

Calling Ohio's Vax-a-Million program "bribery" and vaccines "poisonous" to children, attorney Robert Gargasz has filed suit against Ohio Gov. Mike DeWine and his budget and management director before the Ohio Supreme Court, seeking to halt the program and the use of taxpayer money to fund it. Gargasz filed the action against DeWine and Kimberly Murnieks, director of the state's Office of Budget and Management, on behalf of Ohio Stands Up! on Monday, seeking to prevent "serious public injury to Ohio's children and Ohio's treasury" by canceling the Vax-a-Million vaccine lottery.

The high profile summit came just weeks after the Obama administration issued a moratorium on the same “gain of function” experiments that Dr. Fauci now claims were never directly funded by his government agency to take place at the Wuhan lab in China. Fauci’s insistence, however, is betrayed by new analysis of the sequence of events and examples of his own staff headlining gain of function events in Wuhan.(Snip)Less than a week before the Situation Room summit, President Obama had declared a new vision for the United States and China in the arena of infectious diseases.

Ohio Republicans are fond of saying that it’s easy to vote, but hard to cheat in the Buckeye state. Turns out they think voting is a little too easy.(Snip)The ostensible justification for these measures is to protect the “integrity” of elections, even though the 2020 presidential election was the most secure in the nation’s history. Nor is there any evidence to support former President Donald Trump’s ridiculous claim that widespread fraud cost him reelection.Republicans could have examined what made Trump such a flawed candidate and adjusted their message to appeal to a wider swath of voters.

We received a report over the weekend dated May 3 from the Maricopa County Attorney’s office directed to the audit team in Maricopa County explaining that they just weren’t able to provide routers requested by the auditors. They also shared that they had provided all the passwords they had to the audit crew.(Snip)We noted that the Sherriff of Maricopa County, Paul Penzone, was cc’d in the letter. He is probably better known for the $2 million in support from George Soros in 2016 in the Deep State’s effort to see Sheriff Joe lose for the first time in seven elections. This was reported in Arizona at the time:

Comrades, let it not be said the ministry of COVID compliance does not listen to the citizens. After considering the bad optics of armbands, due to negative historic references, the government is allowing the private sector to create a modern method of compliance with vaccination protocols. To enjoy your new freedom the COVID Ministry is working on QR Code wristbands to speed up the vaccination checkpoint scanning process. The wristbands will be connected to a secure governmental database so you don’t have to worry about your travel habits being tracked, and the governmental contractors have promised they will not use the data to monitor citizens.
