Don Lemon: 'I Don't Know If America
Sees Black People … as Fully Human'

Original Article

Posted By: Imright, 6/21/2021 11:09:21 AM

CNN’s Don Lemon wore his thoughts on his sleeve in Sunday’s Washington Post Magazine feature on him (published online last Tuesday). In more than one instance he vented to reporter Eric Easter about just how racist America and white people were, while at the same time unironically lamenting about how we didn’t show enough grace to other people. At one point he even suggested that America may not even see blacks as “fully human” at all.The headline for the interview clearly laid out where they wanted to take things with a quote from Lemon suggesting: “We’re living in two different realities as Black and White people.”

In academia there used to be three big topics that could not be openly discussed. Number one, would you believe, was concerned with the first people in the Americas. If you proposed that there were people before Clovis, c 13000BCE, that could end your university career. The second was, but is now tapering slightly, the study of UFOs aka UAP. Harvard profssor John Mack was threatened with loss of tenure if he continued his study of this topic. Other profs, lesser known have been fired. The third, and its a biggy, is the study of race and intelligence. The literature is out there, but access it with a false name, a phony accent and a mask. What you will find, shall I say, will be disturbing.

And we pay black basketball players. And black workers in all industries. We even pay some not to work. We do not pay sub-humans. We do not pay animals. African-Americans are humans. And Don Lemon is proof that we treat African-Americans as humans. This is such BS. This kind of rhetoric alienates anyone who wants to understand REAL grievances and do something about them. What defines, “fully,” “human”? If according to the crime and entitlement stats, a homo-sapien is killing his or her fellow man in a life of larceny, and licentiously producing offspring with no regard to their future prospects, and while able-bodied dishonestly claiming every possible government entitlement, then I guess others, leading lives of hard-working peace, living up to their responsibilities, treating their fellow-men and -women with honesty, humanity and respect, paying their own way and being accountable for their actions, might consider some debatability is in play on this topic, of relatively, “full,” or marginal human quality, after all. And before we decry this generality as heinous, the fact is that public policy has long turned on this exact generality of skin color. So in for a penny, in for a pound: he who lives by the general statement that pigment denotes destiny, and a signal truth, dies by it, too. Stop theft, rapine, havoc in the streets and homicide, and magically, brilliantly, one’s potential for redemption takes an exponential leap in the direction of capital-H Humanity.

A Massachusetts town has created a fund to pay reparations to black residents as communities and institutions across the country look to atone for slavery, discrimination and past wrongs amid the nation's ongoing racial reckoning. The Amherst Town Council on Monday voted 12-1 in favor of establishing the fund and requiring a two-thirds vote of the council to authorize any spending from it, The Daily Hampshire Gazette reported. The town, which is located some 90 miles from Boston and has a population of just under 38,000, has yet to decide how a person would become eligible for the reparation fund,

A liberal arts college in Massachusetts has warned its students and faculty against using 'violent language'—even banning the phrase 'trigger warning' for its association with guns. Brandeis University in Waltham has created an anti-violence resource called the Prevention, Advocacy & Resource Center which provides information and advice to students and staff.(Snip) The college claims that 'picnic is often associated with lynchings of black people in the United States, during which white spectators were said to have watched while eating, referring to them as picnics or other terms involving racial slurs against black people.' Picnic is derived from the French 'pique-nique,'

The Salvation Army — best known for its red kettle donation stands at Christmas—has released a racial reconciliation curriculum urging its members to apologize for past racial sins. In “Let’s Talk About Racism,” the evangelical organization declares: “[A]s we engage in conversations about race and racism, we must keep in mind that sincere repentance and apologies are necessary if we want to move towards racial reconciliation … Perhaps you don’t feel as if you personally have done anything wrong, but you can spend time repenting on behalf of the Church and asking for God to open hearts and minds to the issue of racism.”

With murder rates skyrocketing in major American cities, Joe Biden announced his “gun crime prevention strategy.” Because Democrats are opposed to punishments for crime, Biden was reduced to maligning the Second Amendment. Thankfully, he lacks the authority to grab our guns, but he managed a few chilling statements. (snip) His problem is that the cities with the worst violent crime already have gun-grabbing laws. Biden fell back on the old Chicago standby, saying that the illegal guns used to commit crimes in Democrat cities are smuggled in from states with lax gun laws (snip) What Biden failed to explain is why those gun-supplying states don’t also have out-of-control gun crime.

The Florida apartment building that partially collapsed on Thursday had been reportedly sinking for decades — and was undergoing a structural inspection, according to officials and a research study. The 12-story beachfront condo in Miami-Dade County was built in 1981 — and had been sinking into the ground since the 1990s, according to a 2020 study conducted by Shimon Wdowinski, a professor at Florida International University. “I looked at it this morning and said, ‘Oh my god.’ We did detect that,” Wdowinski told USA Today on Thursday. Wdowinski’s research focused on which parts of Miami were sinking,
