Washington D.C.: American companies, including Amazon.com, Apple and Nike, came under fire by a U.S. Senator on Thursday for disregarding forced labour allegations in China and making American consumers complicit in Beijing's alleged repressive policies. (snip) Republican Senator Marco Rubio accused many U.S. companies of "profiting" from the Chinese government's abuses. "For far too long, companies like Nike and Apple and Amazon and Coca-Cola were using forced labor. They were benefiting from forced labor or sourcing from suppliers that were suspected of using forced labor," Rubio said. "These companies, sadly, were making all of us complicit

Yet Rubio was the jackass that was/is all for flooding America with immigration and screwing over US workers in favor of cheap labor. Your protest rings hollow, Foam Boy.

I want a law that requires sellers to disclose the country of origin for every thing. Right now the catalogue or website just puts “imported” on clothing. I want to know the country as in Taiwan, ok...China no. Our corporations are just as guilty. They go with the lowest bidder when they have their crap made in China. The Chinese have no compunction about using forced or slave labor to produce cheap products. I know it’s tough to avoid China products entirely but we need to try our best for the sake of this country.

It's not just Chinese slave labor. There are about half a million prisoners in North Korea's gulag prisons who are forced to make goods that are shipped across the country's northern border and then marked "Made in China."

If slave traders had thrown all the Africans they brought over on boats into prison, and organized a work/release program forcing them to work on plantations, would that have been ok?

So what else is new? These companies and many more have been criticized for this for what seems decades. It's why the U.S. chamber of commerce loves when the border is open. Cheap labor.

Black model Jodie Turner-Smith is set to play 16th-century Queen of England Anne Boleyn, who was, of course, a white woman. The head-scratching choice tore the Internet apart, many suggesting it amounted to cultural appropriation. [snip] Social media quickly began overflowing with complaints about Turner-Smith playing a white queen. Commenters demanded “historical accuracy” and called it “cultural appropriation” – a term usually used when white people emulate other cultures. Many said that, logically, the Turner-Smith casting as Boleyn should be no more acceptable than a white person playing a well-known black historical figure.

The Walt Disney Corporation has ordered all headquarters employees to attend seminars that inject critical race theory, “systemic racism,” “white privilege,” and “white fragility” into their training. The way that City Journal’s Christopher Rufo describes what’s contained in the whistleblower documents he received from several Disney employees suggests the training regimen is designed to elicit guilt and shame from white employees while falsifying history. In truth, it’s beyond belief. Disney’s theme parks may be known as “The Happiest Place on Earth,” but you have to wonder for how long.

Visitors to Dracula's castle are being jabbed with needles rather than fangs after a Covid-19 vaccine centre has been set up at the Transylvanian site. Medics with fang stickers on their scrubs are offering Pfizer shots to everyone who visits the 14th-century Bran Castle in central Romania. It is part of a government drive to encourage more Romanians to get jabbed. Some believe the castle inspired the vampire's lair in Bram Stoker's iconic novel Dracula. Romania has recorded just over a million infections since the pandemic began, and nearly 29,000 deaths.

Why do so many Americans, probably a majority of the 74 million who voted for him, view Donald Trump and Trumpservatism as their only hope? (Snip) President Donald Trump and his allies are likely the only politicians who can effectively clean up the mess even two years of Democrat power will leave behind, let alone four.
