Inflation is on the run at rates the United States hasn't seen since 1992, and consumer prices in May 2021 were up five percent over May 2020. Americans are paying attention as they experience price surges on basic and essential goods. (snip) Now, new polling from Echelon Insights shows the federal government is being held responsible for the problem as politicians in Washington, D.C., keep printing money for excessive spending.

Washington D.C.: American companies, including Amazon.com, Apple and Nike, came under fire by a U.S. Senator on Thursday for disregarding forced labour allegations in China and making American consumers complicit in Beijing's alleged repressive policies. (snip)
Republican Senator Marco Rubio accused many U.S. companies of "profiting" from the Chinese government's abuses.
"For far too long, companies like Nike and Apple and Amazon and Coca-Cola were using forced labor. They were benefiting from forced labor or sourcing from suppliers that were suspected of using forced labor," Rubio said. "These companies, sadly, were making all of us complicit

TIKTOK has updated its privacy policy in the US so it can collect things like “faceprints and voiceprints” from its users.
The app said it “may collect biometric identifiers and biometric information” from users but would need consent before this data is taken. TikTok has added a new section to its US privacy policy called “Image and Audio Information".
It can be found under the heading “Information we collect automatically”. (snip) However, the creepiest part concerns 'biometric data', meaning body measurements and human characteristic data.
It states: "We may collect biometric identifiers and biometric information as defined under US laws, such as faceprints and voiceprints, from your User Content.

Black model Jodie Turner-Smith is set to play 16th-century Queen of England Anne Boleyn, who was, of course, a white woman. The head-scratching choice tore the Internet apart, many suggesting it amounted to cultural appropriation. [snip] Social media quickly began overflowing with complaints about Turner-Smith playing a white queen. Commenters demanded “historical accuracy” and called it “cultural appropriation” – a term usually used when white people emulate other cultures. Many said that, logically, the Turner-Smith casting as Boleyn should be no more acceptable than a white person playing a well-known black historical figure.

The Walt Disney Corporation has ordered all headquarters employees to attend seminars that inject critical race theory, “systemic racism,” “white privilege,” and “white fragility” into their training. The way that City Journal’s Christopher Rufo describes what’s contained in the whistleblower documents he received from several Disney employees suggests the training regimen is designed to elicit guilt and shame from white employees while falsifying history.
In truth, it’s beyond belief. Disney’s theme parks may be known as “The Happiest Place on Earth,” but you have to wonder for how long.

Visitors to Dracula's castle are being jabbed with needles rather than fangs after a Covid-19 vaccine centre has been set up at the Transylvanian site.
Medics with fang stickers on their scrubs are offering Pfizer shots to everyone who visits the 14th-century Bran Castle in central Romania.
It is part of a government drive to encourage more Romanians to get jabbed.
Some believe the castle inspired the vampire's lair in Bram Stoker's iconic novel Dracula.
Romania has recorded just over a million infections since the pandemic began, and nearly 29,000 deaths.

They say some people have the gift of the gab, but for Prince Philip he definitely had the gift of the gaffe.
The Duke, who has died aged 99, became iconic for his eyebrow-raising remarks, including saying to a British student in China, in 1986: “If you stay here much longer, you’ll go home with slitty eyes.”
While watching Elton John singer at the Royal Variety Performance he was also heard saying: "I wish he'd turn the microphone off."
Meow!
As we celebrate the life of Philip, who was devoted to Queen and country, we share some of his iconic quotes...

You can relax now: “Barack and Michelle Obama have their Ramadan plans ready,” Esquire reported happily on Wednesday, so you don’t have to worry anymore that the Muslim holy month might catch the First Couple of the Media Elites unprepared. The Obamas have “announced a new season of their Higher Ground podcast called “Tell Them, I Am,” (snip) Thus the Obamas, in their truly infinite wisdom, have decided that since we Americans are so persistent in our racism that we voted for Trump (twice), we need to be reminded that Muslims are lovable, even cuddly, despite being Muslim and brown.

Why do so many Americans, probably a majority of the 74 million who voted for him, view Donald Trump and Trumpservatism as their only hope? (Snip) President Donald Trump and his allies are likely the only politicians who can effectively clean up the mess even two years of Democrat power will leave behind, let alone four. If you put that mess in the hands of, say, a Ben Sasse, or John Thune, or Jeb Bush—or even a Mitch McConnel, be prepared to live in it for the foreseeable future; they will fritter around the edges and the damage will be a leftist fait accompli.

In the film “Wag The Dog,” Robert De Niro plays a political fixer who produces a fake war to save a president from a scandal. In one seminal scene, William H. Macy plays a CIA operative who tells De Niro’s character that there is no war. (Snip) Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell and Rep. Liz Cheney’s hopes that voters would abandon Trump have been dashed on the cliffs of reality.
So why is the media pretending that some major battle for the future of the GOP has been joined? One reason is quite simply the desire to keep the profitable Trump story going.

On Feb. 15, the Jeff Bezos-owned Washington Post published a Feb. 11 Associated Press article applauding the censorship of those who criticize the government’s pandemic response policies.
The lockdown has netted Bezos $70 billion since its start. If you are Bezos, a permanent lockdown is a goldmine.
Bill Gates, meanwhile, has made $20 billion from the lockdown he previously war-gamed and then cheer-led. His strategy has included emasculating the independent media — the most likely sources of the sort of vigorous journalism that might otherwise scrutinize his self interest in the polices he helped successfully engineer for

This year has been dominated by the pain and suffering thrust upon the globe by the criminal acts of the Chinese Communist Party. Even amid these harsh challenges, President Trump persevered to reach historic achievements. Therefore, as the year draws to its conclusion, it is worth detailing his 2020 accomplishments, as I have previously catalogued for each of the last three years. (snip) At home and abroad, President Trump proved that there is, indeed, method to his madness. Though his unorthodox and sometimes frenetic approach confounds his critics, Trump’s disruptive leadership remained highly effective in 2020,
