Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas said Friday that the Biden Administration is 'looking closely' at requiring vaccine passports for travelers who want to travel in and out of the country. Mayorkas made the comment as 2.5 million Americans prepare to fly for Memorial Day Weekend, and after the White House provided repeated assurances the administration will not impose such a system. Asked if the nation could see vaccine passports either for people coming into the country or flying out, he told ABC's 'Good Morning America': 'We're taking a very close look at that.'

Does this apply to illegals as well, or just us Americans?

The need for Vaccine Passports shows that Covid is more of a political illness than a viral threat. If real threatening illnesses were the concern, a travel passport should also be required for HIV positive people too. That being said, your personal health record is just that, your personal health record. That is why Congress passed medical confidentiality laws. Unless you need to know, you don not need to know. My Covid vaccine status, like someone's HIV status is nobody's concern unless they actually need to know or will be endangered by my actions.

When this gets to the Supreme Court we will quickly find out whether we still have a functioning Republic or not.
These "vaccines" designed to modify the recipient's DNA, authorized under emergency exception from meaningful testing,
and with the makers exempted from liability for adverse reactions are not something the government has legitimate power to
mandate. The longest tests were about 3 ½ months. All they prove is that they don't usually result in immediate serious
reactions or death. We have not clue what the long term effects may be.

Our dear leaders didn't care when we were receiving Ebola patients and travelers from African countries when they were knee deep in their pandemic.

Having Mayorkas in charge of DHS is like having Abbas in charge of Israel's defense forces.

Meanwhile, two million illegals cross the border with a wink and a nod. Bringing in illness after illness that up until twenty five years ago, was eliminated in the U.S.

How about making therapeutics like HCQ and Ivermectin available? They have been shown to be almost 100% effective when taken with Zn?
I had the virus. I have antibodies. I'm not taking your gene therapy for death.

All true, #5. Feds cannot constitutionally mandate the jab. However, I think they can regulate who comes and goes across our borders, so I guess I'm glad I made my 'final' European trek a few years ago. IMO, the biggest problem with this potential requirement is for all those who have survived COVID! They should certainly not be required to take the jab OR be restricted from travel!!
So maybe possible loophole is to just claim you have survived COVID, plausibly believed vaccination could have thus been risky. IF the Feds cannot access your health records per HIPAA, perhaps this might pass muster.

Sounds like I could be an illegal alien myself someday. Maybe when some of those central and south American countries clear out, they could turn into nice homes.

Diversity, equity and inclusion needs to be changed to “diversity, inclusion and equity”...then the acronym could be D.I.E. which would be more appropriate.

We should be careful pushing the "experimental emergency" thing. With just a phone call they can blackmail or bribe the puppets that do these things to approve it officially. Then we are really up a creek.

This is a done deal, apart from hashing out how much taxpayer money goes into whose well-connected pockets, with the customary 10% for the Big Guy. "Diversity, equity, and inclusion" means treating vaccine refuseniks as pre-civil rights era negroes or untouchables in India, because USA is the land of the free and the home of the brave. But the joke's on them; anyone is free to stroll at will across the Mexican border, which is wide open, no paperwork required.
