The Miami-Dade Police Department is honoring the LGBTQ community with a rainbow-themed patrol vehicle. The vehicle—which is decorated with the colors of the Pride flag and the words “hope,” “love,” “equality,” “inclusion,” “kindness,” “peace,” and also the phrase “strength through unity”—will be used “to establish a more trusting relationship within our communities,” MDPD Sergeant Orlando Lopez said during the unveiling ceremony on Thursday in Doral. “What better way to assist in educating the public about Pride and in promoting engagement between law enforcement and the community we serve?,” Lopez asked, when introducing the “MDPD Pride Vehicle.”(Snip) An anti-hate symbol

With a few modifications, including say a huge latex appendage on the front, this design scheme would make for a fabulous landing craft for the New Marine Corps. Imagine the fear of the enemy as they arrive, accompanied by pulsating dance music and glitter clouds.

I have no idea why it cut off most of my post in #3. Let's try this again: Congratulation to all the sane, normal people in Miami -- your tax dollars in action, giving the big proverbial middle-finger to your beliefs and morals to appease the less than 5% of the population with this homosexual mental illness!!!! This is just proof # 86,227,597 that Civil War II has been raging on for years, and the lie-berals are winning without firing a shot!!! They slowly and methodically have been eating away at our rights, and destroying everything good and moral about our society!!! While they fight the war every day, we conservatives complain and laugh at the "wokeness, but they are still winning!!! We must stop complaining and start fighting back before there is nothing left for fight for!!!!

Hey! I’ve got an idea! How about we just have standard LE vehicles and have the police enforce the laws on the books? No politics! If we don’t like the laws being enforced - change them! So radical.

So, are only homosexual officers allowed to use the car? What hetero officer would want to ride in it? I think the words “lust”, “deviance”, “decadence”, “insanity” and “perversion” would be much more appropriate.

Don't you find it fascinating that the heart of the celebration of the practice and lifestyle is pride? C.S. Lewis identified pride as the root of sins, the "essential vice, the utmost evil" - the self-aggrandizing part of our nature that is the root of all other sins. Pride has long been recognized as one of the seven deadly sins. Do you think the selection of pride as the heart of the proclamation is a fluke?

Does the Pride Flag and rainbow peace sign hands make any citizen of Miami safer? Does it actually do anything to stop crime? It might make LGBTQ Trans people feel good, but feeling good does not stop gang shoot outs or stop people from getting robbed on the street. If the LGBTQ people need to feel good about themselves, the need to see a therapist, not a Police vehicle. In these days of defunding the police, reduced department resources could have certainly been used for better things than some feel good stickers on a vehicle.

It’s the jab or the job. Employers are allowed under federal law to require workers to get a COVID-19 vaccine before they can physically return to the workplace, according to updated guidance issued by the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission Friday. But they must provide “reasonable accommodations” for workers who refuse the shots because of a disability—including pregnancy—or for religious reasons, the agency said. The decision may mean unvaccinated employees could be required to wear masks, or to work remotely. The EEOC’s rules also gave the green light to companies offering incentives as a means of encouraging staffers to get vaccinated,
