On Thursday, more than 600 musicians from around the world issued a letter addressing the recent violence between Israel and the Palestinian group Hamas and calling on musicians "to publicly assert their solidarity with the Palestinian people."
The letter, published by the organization Musicians for Palestine, was signed by artists including Patti Smith, Rage Against the Machine, Run the Jewels, Pink Floyd's Roger Waters, the Strokes' Julian Casablancas, System of a Down's Serj Tankian, Noname, the Roots' Questlove and Black Thought, Royce da 5’9" and Cypress Hill.
"As musicians, we cannot be silent. Today it is essential that we stand with Palestine."

As ignorant, uneducated, drugged out musicians, 600 of us have declared solidarity with terrorists and mass murderers. And oh by the way, buy my new album at www.knucklehead-music.com

Her first album "Horses" was very good. She hung with Lou Reed types. Mid to lower level influence.

Bunch of ignorant leftists. The Roots Questlove? That capitalist pretending to be conscious? Once sued for racial discrimination himself. Ask former Roots member Jaguar Wright about Mr. Questlove. Yeah? They're all a bunch of fakers.

Anything for a little press, especially for third-rate human beings like these musicians.

I had expected better of her. She's said sensible things in the past, like many punk rockers of the era. Immensely talented, too.

If they feel so strongly about ''Palestine'' instead of just signing some dumb ''letter'', they can go visit Palestine on their next vacation. Good luck finding the place since no such country exists.

Yeah, right. And I doubt if any of them could articulate a cogent sentence on the “Palestinian” issue.

Sorry, dumbass but the rockets I play with have parachutes in the nose cone, not high explosives. Plus, I prefer Jews to Palestinians so a big NO to your hate-club offer.

Far too many do not understand that the Palestinian people are not the terrorists attacking Israel. It is the terrorist organization Hamas.

600 musicians? I want NAMES! I probably don't know and wouldn't buy anything they offered because my musical taste goes backwards from 1971 to 1931.

Patti Smith claim to fame is getting to #13 on the charts with a cover of Bruce Springsteen "Because The Night". I've heard parrots that have better vocal talent than The Boss, so I'm not sure how big of an accomplishment that is. But, I'm pretty sure it doesn't qualify her as an international policy expert.

People need to start shooting thousands of bottle rockets at them during their concerts and see how much they like it.
I don't suggest full-up murder missiles. I am not a terrorist.

You know how many musicians there are in the world? The article makes it sound like 600 notable people signed this letter. It could be anything from has-been rockers to wanna-be rock stars who saw this letter on Facebook while on break in Mom’s garage from band practice.

OK, show us how dedicated to the Palestinian cause you are by moving there while they are sending hundreds if not thousands of rockets into Israel. You can help with the cleanup.

Lost in the collective emotion and outrage is the fact that the palestinians and hamas drew first blood by firing rockets provided by other countries at civilians since they are too illiterate to build their own. Most of the musicians are unknown to me, black muslims who worship the religion that originally enslaved them and sold them out of Madagascar but Roger Waters? Huge disappointment. Apparently intelligence does not come as a package deal with musical genius. I can not give up Pink Floyd because they are among the best in the world but I curse his utter stupidity.
Palestine does not exist!

For those of you unfamiliar with Patti Smith, she's a hardened radical who scored just one pop hit in her entire life. For several years she lived with her boyfriend, Robert Maplethorpe (yes, THAT Robert Maplethorpe). Then after she dumped him, he threatened to "go gay" if she didn't take him back. Well, she didn't take him back.
