Police investigate 'refuse service to
white people' sign at St. Louis-area
drive-through

Police are asking for help to identify the person or people who posted a sign in a fast-food drive-through saying the business "will reserve the right to refuse service to white people." The sign was posted at the Popeyes located at 6475 Ronald Reagan Drive in Lake Saint Louis. The Lake Saint Louis Police Department says several drive-through menus have also been vandalized with spray paint earlier this month. A photo of the sign quickly spread through social media and on Wednesday the restaurant closed, but people were reportedly still going through the line to see the viral sign.

Great business plan; refuse to do business with 75 percent of the population. Brilliant. Then, watch it lose money because of employees stealing inventory. Then, watch it get burned down in the next series of riots. Then, in a few years watch the so-called community organizers complain that the area is a ''food desert'' because no businesses will locate there. Lather, rinse, repeat.

In the article is says that the business owners had no idea that the sign had been posted, and that it was probably done by the same idiots who have been vandalizing their menu board.

Love Popeye's but wont go anywhere I'm not wanted. Besides, I've found myself in St Louis several times and been looked at like a lion looks at a wounded gazelle. I dont stop in St Louis anymore for anything. I put the gun on the seat, hit the bypass and go as fast as I can toward civilized territory.

Same thought as #1. Clearly Popeye's customer base is 90% or more black folks, I ate there once, wasn't impressed with the food, uncomfortable at no other whites in the place. Reminds me of my first visit to a local barbeque restaurant, known to be run by a black man, and which had been said to have good food. I walked in and there were three black teens waiting by the door who shouted something at me in very loud 'ghetto talk'....I couldn't tell what they had said, absolutely no clue, and it sounded.....aggressive. I was confused at being shouted at, and very nearly turned around and left, and literally looked around and behind me to see who these strangers were yelling at. I was alone in the entry. I got in line to order. A couple of uncomfortable minutes later, someone entered and got the same shouting. By the third time, I was starting to figure out that this was apparently intended to be some a greeting and apparently the black teens had made it into a contest to outshout each other in "greeting" customers. After hearing their shouts about 6 times, I finally figured out that "welcome" was in there somewhere. The food was OK at best, fatty bbq isn't what I want, and I have never returned.

Popeye's had a chicken sandwich they were heavily advertising. Got one to see if it was that great. Had so much salt I think the chicken drowned in the Great Salt Lake. My BP probably went into the atmosphere. Most supermarkets do a reasonably good job with chicken. Stick with them.

Can doctors refuse to give medical service

Ohio physicians, hospitals and health insurance companies could refuse to provide or pay for a medical service if it violates their moral beliefs, under language inserted into the state budget bill this week. The new language would also give medical practitioners immunity from lawsuits for refusing such and allow them to sue others. Abortion rights and LGBTQ advocates sounded the alarm this week, fearing more restricted access to reproductive health care and more discrimination. Those on the other side hailed the measure as essential for protecting religious freedoms.

A school board member called on graduating high school students to remember 'jihad' at their commencement as she warned they were entering a world of, 'racism, extreme versions of individualism and capitalism, [and] white supremacy.' Abrar Omeish, the sole Muslim member on the Fairfax County School Board, in Virginia, addressed the graduating students of Justice High School on June 7. In English, she told them that: 'The world sees the accolade, the diploma, the fruit of all your years yet be reminded of the detail of your struggle.' But when she repeated the speech in Arabic, she told students to remember their 'jihad' - meaning holy war.

Former President Donald Trump delivered a strong message against China on Saturday, blaming the country for the coronavirus pandemic. The former president spoke about China in a speech to North Carolina Republicans, demanding that China pay “reparations” to the world for the devastation caused by the pandemic. “We should all declare with one unified voice that China must pay. They must pay,” Trump said as the crowd cheered and applauded. He proposed that all nations should join the United States in demanding that China pay for the effect of the virus. “All nations should work together to present China a bill for a minimum of $10 trillion to compensate for the damage,” he said.

The Loudoun County Public Schools (LCPS) plans to appeal a judge’s reinstatement of a high school gym coach who refused to address trans students by their preferred pronouns. The Virginia school district put gym teacher Byron “Tanner” Cross on leave after he cited his Christian faith in opposition to the proposed Policy 8040, which would require educators to address trans students by the pronouns they prefer. On Tuesday, the Twentieth Judicial Circuit of Virginia ordered Loudoun County to reinstate Cross, ruling that “his suspension was an act of retaliation following his exercise of his rights to free speech."

COVID shutdowns championed by U.S. governors and D.C. bureaucrats are responsible for destroying nearly 40% of small businesses since the virus was unleashed on the world—and we know now that it was for little to no damned good reason. A study by the Proceedings of the National Academies of Sciences revealed recently that shutdown orders made little to no difference in COVID’s impact. From the abstract of the study: “Previous studies have claimed that shelter-in-place orders saved thousands of lives, but we reassess these analyses and show that they are not reliable. We find that shelter-in-place orders had no detectable health benefits, only modest effects on behavior,
