Speech

School officials at a Michigan high school have reversed course and allowed the valedictorian to reference her faith in her graduation address in the wake of a letter First Liberty Institute sent to the school principal. The legal organization that primarily defends religious liberty announced Thursday Hillsdale High School reversed its decision that blocked senior valedictorian Elizabeth Turner from making a reference to the significance of her faith in Jesus Christ in her address. “We are grateful to school officials for acting swiftly to ensure that religious students can freely exercise their right to express their faith in a graduation speech,” said Keisha Russell, counsel for First Liberty Institute.

Well they allow her to reference faith and thankfulness for the federal government? Thanks we are worshiping the Golden Needle and sacrificing our children with vaccines designed to destroy them? Moses’s people were worshiping the Golden Calf and burning their children alive as a sacrifice of thanks for blessings they hope to receive from their false gods. The story is still the same.

Let them think they're approving the speech and then just say what you want.. What are they going to do? Drag her off?

Golly, they "allowed" her to reference her faith? How very gracious of them. As the valedictorian she should have been able to talk about whatever she wanted, if it was related to her accomplishments. No doubt she had to have her speech "approved" beforehand, but she should have just gone ahead and testified to her faith in Jesus Christ without approval. Yes, faith in God certainly is not appropriate for speech in a godless public school, who do their best to deny any mention of God or faith.

Most of our uniformed service members -- and most Americans -- believe in the fundamental goodness of our great country. And they want to preserve it. But fighting for what is right means first understanding the truth about what is happening. We have the world’s most powerful military and it is an all-voluntary force. We all took an oath to support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic. We believe in the sanctity of that oath. All of our civilian and military leaders take the same oath. Today we are confronted with a very serious domestic enemy.

Roger Stone believes criminal charges against Donald Trump are now a certainty, and is predicting indictments will land 'by the 4th of July'. The political dirty trickster and longtime Trump ally said the multiple criminal investigations currently swirling around Trump, members of his family and the Trump Organization would inevitably lead to charges. 'I would be shocked if they did not come forward with a fabricated indictment for bank fraud or tax fraud against the former president [Donald Trump] by Manhattan District Attorney,' Stone told Infowars host Alex Jones. 'If they want to go after the president on fabricated charges, then we will establish that this is a partisan witch hunt.'

"What a narcissistic power-hungry egotist," Ayelet Waldman screeched. The hateful leftist spouse of extremist author Michael Chabon was responding to Justice Stephen Breyer's call for finding common ground. Lefties had already been furious at Breyer for refusing to resign. And then for urging Democrats to respect the rule of law. But this genial chat was what really made social media lefties lose their minds. The country may be increasingly divided along partisan lines, but Supreme Court Justice Stephen Breyer said Friday that he remains optimistic that America's system of democracy will continue to work. “I am basically optimistic, and I don't know how much that's justified."
