Tensions build between Gov. Tim Walz,
progressives over Brooklyn Center response

MINNEAPOLIS — The fatal police shooting of Daunte Wright and tactics used to respond to people protesting his killing are putting Gov. Tim Walz increasingly at odds with the left flank of his base, threatening to fray Democratic allies heading into the critical 2022 election cycle. A growing number of DFL officials are calling for the first-term governor to reassign the case of former Brooklyn Center police officer Kim Potter, who shot and killed Wright, to Attorney General Keith Ellison. And Walz is facing a backlash for not roundly condemning tear gas and projectiles used in the first nights of protests

Comments:

Progs want the protestors to run wild. But white liberals are accustomed to throwing money at the violent mob to get them to quiet down.

What the rioters really want is to see Kim Potter lashed to a stake and burned while they all jump around and scream epithets at her. It’s called blood lust.

Most of us can just be very thankful that we don't live in Minn. Wherever the bloodthirsty socialist (commie) mob takes power the rule of law goes out the window.

#3, it won't happen until they've totally eliminated the opposition. After they've gained complete control, they will break up into factions which will start fighting each other.

I see. It's about keeping his job as governor, not maintaining law and order in putting down the rioters. Giving them milk and cookies won't work. Those people are looking for the slightest excuse to loot and burn. What happened to "looters will be shot on sight!"?

The projectiles were from the BLM and Antifa people. Cans of whatever, plus rocks, bricks, and whatever they could find to throw at the police.

The solution is so simple, drop the people with the searchlights and the loudspeakers in a puddle of their own blood. The rest will run away screaming. Hide the identities of the police who fired the shots, just like the White House did with Lt. Michael Leroy Byrd who shot the unarmed Ashli. The MSM will be horrified and outraged but the riots will end.

The DFL (Dems in Minnesota) are now hostage to the mob and their lefty crazies in the party. Waltz and the urban mayors will either alienate their crazy base or cave to them. Most Minnesotans are not crazy, so the GOP has a huge opportunity to turn the state red either way.

Investors managing $11 trillion have called on the world’s biggest banks to phase out financing of fossil-fuel companies and throw their weight behind the goals of the Paris climate agreement. Asset managers, including Federated Hermes Inc.’s EOS division and Pacific Investment Management Co., have asked 27 banks to commit to eliminating emissions across their operations by 2050, including those generated from lending, trading and underwriting, and set interim reduction targets. The group of 35 investors, which was convened by the Institutional Investors Group on Climate Change, also said the banks should expand their green finance activities and withdraw from any

DENVER - The governor’s mansion was among several homes hit during a vandalism spree in Denver overnight. Sister station CBS Denver reports most of the targets were the city’s Cheesman Park neighborhood. “Woah, nice house bro, gentrifiers,” “Police make white people feel safe from minorities,” and “Abolish police” were among the phrases spray-painted on walls and garage doors. An anarchist “A” was sprayed on a plaque outside the governor’s mansion. CBS Denver says the words “Adam Toledo” and “He was 13 years old, say his name,” were written on a brick wall across the street from the mansion. Several demonstrations

Two Minnesota National Guard members on duty in the Twin Cities were injured early Sunday after being fired at in what authorities said was a drive-by shooting in Minneapolis. The Guard said the injuries were minor. One Guard member was transported to a hospital for treatment of injuries from shattered glass; the other was treated at the scene for superficial wounds. The Guard says the two were part of a "neighborhood security team" deployed in Minneapolis for Operation Safety Net, a multi-agency effort to provide security amid the ongoing Derek Chauvin trial. After the death of Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg last September, former President Donald Trump quickly nominated Justice Amy Coney Barrett to the court, with her successful Senate confirmation effectively reordering the balance of the court and cementing a 6-3 conservative majority. Washington state lawmakers passed a bill on Thursday setting a target to stop sales of gasoline-fueled vehicles there beginning in 2030, five years sooner than California. The target is not a firm mandate and is contingent on the state adopting a tax on vehicle miles traveled, a measure to help pay for new transportation infrastructure, according to the text of the bill. The move by the Pacific Northwest state comes as efforts to boost adoption of electric vehicles are accelerating over concerns about fossil fuels' contribution to climate change.
