Democratic Rep. Mondaire Jones of New York on Friday called on Supreme Court Justice Stephen Breyer to step down at the end of the current term. During an interview with Cheddar News, Jones said the 82-year-old Breyer needed to retire in order to grant President Joe Biden the ability to nominate a new justice. After the death of Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg last September, former President Donald Trump quickly nominated Justice Amy Coney Barrett to the court, with her successful Senate confirmation effectively reordering the balance of the court and cementing a 6-3 conservative majority. Many Democrats, still smarting over

Comments:

Yet again Leftists are ramping up their campaign to oust Breyer. Hopefully he has a stubborn streak and will refuse to knuckle under to their demands.

Ginsberg was about 103 years old and fell asleep at official functions. Yet, the left screamed that it was her right to stay on the court. This is the very definition of hypocrite.

I am 76 years old, and have never experienced anything other than a liberal Supreme Court. In fact, I see no real evidence that the current court is 6-3 conservative. So many "conservative" judges seem to quickly become rather liberal.

Attorney General Merrick Garland on Wednesday will announce that the Department of Justice is launching an investigation into the practices of the Minneapolis police department, Justice Department officials told NBC News. The announcement will come one day after former Minneapolis police officer Derek Chauvin was convicted by a jury in the murder of George Floyd, an unarmed Black man, who was killed in custody last year. (Snip) If the Justice Department concludes that a department has systematically violated the law, it can pursue a settlement with the department, often known as a consent decree, which sometimes entails independent monitoring or

He was walking near a sprawling homeless encampment on the edge of school grounds when he spotted a sword in one of the tents. It’s been over a month since Gov. Greg Abbott lifted the state’s mask mandate and ended business restrictions, but at least for now, Texas has not become the epicenter of a coronavirus surge as some predicted. After Abbott announced COVID-19 restrictions would end on March 10, President Joe Biden called the decision a “big mistake” and that it reflected “Neanderthal thinking.” A slew of other political figures thought the decision was premature and a way to distract people from the February winter storm and power outage that killed at least 111 Texans. “It is now time to open Texas 100%,”

Many Christians are feeling frustrated with the Biden administration. A recent op-ed in the Wall Street Journal points to how Joe Biden’s flip-flop on refugees is frustrating evangelicals who foolishly voted for him last November. As the Journal contributor noted, they have a reason to feel betrayed.  Believers who care about values, life, and religious liberty continue to find that the new administration has let them down time and time again. While Biden may attend Mass regularly, many of his policy positions raise questions of how diligently he practices his Catholic faith outside the four walls of his church. CORRECTIONS*
