Mercer University theology professor Chanequa Walker-Barnes wrote a prayer in which she asks God to help her “hate white people,” specifically, “the nice ones,” such as “the Fox News-loving, Trump-supporting voters” who “don’t see color.” She published the “Prayer of a Weary Black Woman” in the book A Rhythm of Prayer: A Collection of Meditations for Renewal.“Dear God, Please help me to hate White people,” the professor began in her prayer, titled, “Prayer of a Weary Black Woman,” which was published in A Rhythm of Prayer: A Collection of Meditations for Renewal edited by Sarah Bessey.“I want to stop caring about them, individually and collectively,” Walker-Barnes continued.

I've read any number of articles that progsplain this woman's view point and tell me I don't understand the exquisite nuance of it all. I see a hateful essay that is not a prayer at all.

When global charities come to our TV screens they don't show the distended bellies and shriveled limbs of European or North American children. The tide of refugees seeking a better life are not fleeing from a paradise to live among dastardly whites.
We have a monumental showing of ignorance here

I can only pity someone so filled with hate. God have mercy on her soul, because when we stand before him, there is no color, and who will she hate then?

Without white people paying taxes...50% or more of Blacks would starve to death! you can tell Chanequa was raised by a crack-whore.

From our Bible:
"The Greatest Commandment
28 One of the teachers of the law came and heard them debating. Noticing that Jesus had given them a good answer, he asked him, “Of all the commandments, which is the most important?”
29 “The most important one,” answered Jesus, “is this: ‘Hear, O Israel: The Lord our God, the Lord is one.[a] 30 Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength.’[b] 31 The second is this: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’[c] There is no commandment greater than these.”
32 “Well said, teacher,” the man replied. “You are right in saying that God is one and there is no other but him. 33 To love him with all your heart, with all your understanding and with all your strength, and to love your neighbor as yourself is more important than all burnt offerings and sacrifices.”
34 When Jesus saw that he had answered wisely, he said to him, “You are not far from the kingdom of God.” And from then on no one dared ask him any more questions."
It is evident to me that this person needs to read a Bible. If you are praying to God, maybe you should get to know His commandments. Please notice the above "Greatest Commandment" and, hopefully, this theology professor will realize how backwards her thinking is. It goes against everything God communicates in His word. . .

Hard to believe that a college that teaches theology would have a person like this on their staff.
This just goes to show what kind of garbage is being taught in today's colleges.
These are the people accusing whites of being racist white Supremacists.
I say over and over again whites are pikers when it come to being racist.
Blacks are far and beyond any racism that is held by whites.
Whites may have a few ignorant skinheads ,but in general we do not have the racist animosity held by the majority of blacks.

"Dr." Chanequa, who hates different-skinned others with every fiber of her being, seems to be challenging us to hate her. Well, I don't hate this pathetic, incredibly stupid creature, I pity her. She's praying to the devil and she belongs to him. In Scripture we learn that the Lord looks at the inside of us, and that we should do as He does.
With poor specimens of humanity like this theology professor doing their worst for race relations, marginal people on the edge of sanity (or over the edge) hear this type of verbal atrocity, and they go looking for a victim--any victim. The malignant fool Walker-Barnes shouldn't be teaching anything to anyone. If she had her way, we'd be slain the the street. Evil is what he arm ourselves to defend against. This woman is comprehensively evil. Mercer ought to be shamed out of business for hiring a real museum specimen racist. She and her horrible attitude should be on the unemployment line tomorrow morning.

If a White professor had written poem or prayer asking God to help them hate Black people, but only the good, CNN loving ones. The ones who lived like race didn't matter because they are all fakes. Criticize Black churches also as being welcoming but secretly hateful. How long until that professor is fired from their job? This Black theology professor has bigger problems than the nice white people she criticizes.

Maybe Professor Chanequa Walker-Barnes wouldn't be such a weary Black woman if she wasn't so busy making up and imagining reasons to hate white people. It must be exhausting going through life being so hateful towards others for no reason.

Yet more evidence that reason has no home on the Left any more. Praying for an already existing condition? We've achieved the circumstance where even prayer is propaganda.

It is quite a world when one race is told they are the cause of all society’s problems and can say nothing but agree meekly while the other race can spew hate and racism and take no responsibility for their actions and blame it on the other. What a set up.

Does that mean all these social justice organizations are nothing more than hate groups? Glad you clarified that, Professor.
They riot and commit acts of violence. They are fueled by mindless hate. They are indeed hate groups.

Mercer is a private university owned by the Baptist Church in Macon, Georgia. I haven't seen any coverage of this in the Georgia media. Most universities are doing everything they can to attract minority employees. If confronted I expect her to claim it was parody.

What Walker-Barnes has obviously missed altogether is that God is all about affirmative action....just His kind, not her kind...not the strong overtly racist overprint that Walker-Barnes imposes.

"Hate" is a sin. Any "professor of theology" would know that AND would know that God cannot and will not "teach" a person to sin. God never suborns sin or sinfulness.
This "professor" needs to be FIRED, else God will take care of "its" discipline.

These people are a farce, an angry joke. She is a screeching hyena. And she directs her vicious nonsense to the God of Heaven who has proclaimed that to love one's neighbor is second only to loving God Himself. All day long we read these people proclaiming their madness, and Breitbart is out finding more right now.

With the rampant racism among the black people, you would expect more racism among those accused of racism. It will have the effect of alienating those who were not racists to become more racist. Does that make sense?

If anyone says, "I love God," yet hates his brother, he is a liar. For anyone who does not love his brother, whom he has seen, cannot love God, whom he has not seen. And he has given us this command: Whoever loves God must also love his brother.
