It’s a roarrr-ing success! “Godzilla vs. King Kong” is on track to become the highest-grossing North American film since the onset of the coronavirus pandemic. The Warner Bros. and Legendary flick netted $48.1 million in its first five days since opening in theatres on March 31, Boxoffice Pro reported. According to the film industry magazine, the movie could have surpassed $57.9 million in sales as early as last Thursday, which would be the most for any film released since March 2020.

There wasn't enough money in the budget to also make "The Mother Teresa Story."

Shrug. It was ok but I'm glad I already had hbo Max as a freebie add on from my ISP. Not ok if I had to pay $15 or whatever to see it.

Mothra is p.o.'d...but he shouldn't have hung out with Harvey Weinstein and got blackballed by the new Woke Folk. He tried to spin his way out of the situation, but nobody wanted the hot gas he was peddling.

Apologies for 2nd post, and most sorry for accusing Mothra San for unmonsterable behavior. It was Rodan who spun the web of lies and hid beneath a turtle shell of Wokeness.

Pretty easy task to achieve since there aren't to many films out, and most of the theaters are closed. People will go out to see anything just to get out if a theater is open.

I'll pass. Giving money to Hollyweird seems like a really counterproductive thing these days. Are there any pro-American actors any more? Any pro-American directors? Apparently a few, but if they say anything good about the country, they are fired immediately and will never work again.

More "entertainment" from the garbage industry in Hollywood. Ever wonder why Hollywood "actors" are out shilling for credit card ads? The "film" industry is dying, along with our American culture.

I can safely say that, on my "give a darn" meter, this isn't causing it to budge even a tiny little bitty bit. I loved Godzilla movies when I was 11. But that was a very long time ago. And they were definitely not PC in the least. So, yeah, I think I am going to pass on this one (and everything else coming out of Hollyweird for that matter)!!!

The only thing the Godzilla movies ever did for me is make me wonder how the people who make the world's best cameras could produce the world's worst movies.

If anyone can screw up the legend of Godzilla... it's Hollyweird. I won't be surprised if the usual cast of losers begged to be in it and gave up their salaries to do it. You know of whom I speak, Samuel L. Jackson, Alec Baldwin, Sondra Bullock, Tom Hanks, Meatloaf...

George Floyd might be alive had former President Barack Obama not, for eight years, consistently play the anti-cop race card. Despite receiving more white votes than 2004 Democratic candidate John Kerry, Obama said: "The legacy of slavery, Jim Crow, discrimination in almost every institution of our lives -- you know, that casts a long shadow, and that's still part of our DNA that's passed on. We're not cured of it. ... Racism -- we are not cured of it."

Prince Harry is preparing to return to the UK for the first time since leaving Royal duties after the death of Prince Philip - but questions remain over whether Meghan will join him. Harry's grandfather's death comes weeks after they gave an interview to Oprah alleging racism in the Royal Family which aired while Philip was in hospital. The Sussexes, who faced calls to postpone the interview because Philip was unwell, accused an unnamed royal, not the Queen nor the duke, of raising concerns about how dark their son Archie's skin tone would be before he was born.

Public university officials violated the constitutional rights of a Christian student group and will now face a trial to set the compensatory damages for that violation, a court ruled this week. InterVarsity Christian Fellowship had operated continuously at Michigan's Wayne State University "since the 1930s" — until campus officials stripped its recognition in 2017 for "requiring that its faith leaders profess to be faithful," U.S. District Judge Robert Cleland wrote in a scathing 83-page ruling.

A bipartisan group of lawmakers is warning that the national debt –– now estimated to total $85,210 per person –– poses an imminent threat, especially if interest rates spike. The U.S. government has spent around $6 trillion during the coronavirus pandemic, in addition to regular government appropriations. The $6 trillion figure does not count the $1.9 trillion American Rescue Plan that President Biden signed a few weeks ago. The deficit set a record in FY2020 at $3.13 trillion. And the national debt has hit a record $28 trillion.

Harris seemed to find this marvelously funny.

The focus of President Joe Biden’s $2.3 trillion infrastructure bill is allegedly to address aging infrastructure across the country, but the massive bill covers a vast amount of other spending, including money for “diversifying” neighborhoods. This portion of Biden’s American Jobs Plan would change zoning laws to end single family home neighborhoods and allow for multiple unit “affordable” or low-income rental housing. According to the White House Fact Sheet, the housing effort is “an innovative new approach to eliminate state and local exclusionary zoning laws, which drive up the cost of construction and keep families from moving to neighborhoods with more opportunities

Joe Biden may have been something like a moderate, once. As a senator, he defended the Hyde Amendment, which protects pro-life taxpayers from footing the bill for something they consider to be murder. Senator Biden also voted for the Religious Freedom Restoration Act (RFRA) in 1993. Even as late as 2003, Biden voted for a bill to prohibit partial-birth and late-term abortion. Biden did indeed work with Republicans to pass legislation. In 1987, Biden condemned Franklin Delano Roosevelt’s scheme to pack the Supreme Court to support the New Deal.
