Border officials arresting terror
suspects is 'rare,' White House says

The White House is downplaying the national security implications of two suspected terrorists being arrested at the southern border as federal officials struggle with a surge in migrant crossings under President Joe Biden. It is "uncommon" for border agents to apprehend known or suspected terrorists, White House press secretary Jen Psaki insisted Tuesday. "While this is rare, this is a reflection of them doing their jobs," Psaki told reporters, referring to Border Patrol and other federal officers

Comments:

The "White House" is right. Hundreds of thousands of illegals are pouring across the border - - but how many of them are violent terrorists? 100? 200? A very small percentage. Why should we be concerned about only a couple of hundred violent terrorists sneaking into our country?

Let's add grammar to Ms Psaki's manifold other failures, as the proper way of stating her point of the Border Patrol would have been "THEIR doing their jobs," not "THEM doing their jobs. We always use the possessive with a gerund such as "doing," Ms Psaki. No, don't thank me, I'm happy to be of service.

Of course it's 'rare' to capture and arrest terrorists at the border when you disallow the agents to do their job and hinder all but welcoming efforts.

But arrests of "domestic terrorists," (aka political opponents) are on the rise. Just ask Tucker Carlson, who recited the hundreds of folks that are held with indefinite stays in DC jails for their "insurrection" on January 6th. You know, that deadly riot where the only person killed was an unarmed Air Force veteran woman who was blown away by a trigger-happy Capitol policeman in no danger.

Public university officials violated the constitutional rights of a Christian student group and will now face a trial to set the compensatory damages for that violation, a court ruled this week. InterVarsity Christian Fellowship had operated continuously at Michigan's Wayne State University "since the 1930s" — until campus officials stripped its recognition in 2017 for "requiring that its faith leaders profess to be faithful," U.S. District Judge Robert Cleland wrote in a scathing 83-page ruling.

A bipartisan group of lawmakers is warning that the national debt –– now estimated to total $85,210 per person –– poses an imminent threat, especially if interest rates spike. The U.S. government has spent around $6 trillion during the coronavirus pandemic, in addition to regular government appropriations. The $6 trillion figure does not count the $1.9 trillion American Rescue Plan that President Biden signed a few weeks ago. The deficit set a record in FY2020 at $3.13 trillion. And the national debt has hit a record $28 trillion.

It’s not three months into a four-year term, but Joe Biden’s presidency is already heading for the rocks. Surging waves of immigrants have overwhelmed the U.S.’ southern border. With public anger growing, Biden now has been forced to tacitly recognize President Donald Trump’s border success. Just this week, Biden let it be known he’s considering restarting Trump’s border wall construction — just to “fill in” parts of it, his administration says. Right. In fact, it’s desperation because the Biden-Democrat open border policy has been an epic disaster, one that could result in huge Democratic losses in 2022 and a lame-duck presidency

On Thursday, President Joe Biden announced new executive actions on gun control, trying to limit “ghost guns” and to make it easier for people to flag their own family members who shouldn’t be allowed to purchase firearms. In announcing his gun restrictions, Biden specifically addressed the Second Amendment. While Biden insisted that none of his gun control measures impinged on the Second Amendment, he also insisted that “no amendment to the Constitution is absolute.” “Nothing, nothing I’m about to recommend in any way impinges on the Second Amendment. They’re phony arguments suggesting that these are Second Amendment rights at stake for what we’re talking about,” he argued. Then came the key statement:
