Frankly, it feels like a lifetime, when it comes to all the things that Joe Biden has been able to screw up in such a short period of time. Federal agencies will call to temporarily suspend the use of Johnson & Johnson coronavirus vaccines, after six recipients of the vaccine developed a blood clotting disorder.
Almost seven million Americans have received the Johnson & Johnson vaccine, which is administered in a single dose. Six recipients, all of them women between ages 18 and 48, developed an extremely rare clotting disorder, known as cerebral venous thrombosis.
The Food and Drug Administration and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention will temporarily halt distribution of the vaccine at federal vaccination sites while an investigation is conducted into a possible link between the Johnson & Johnson vaccine and the clotting disorder,

More specifically, imagine that it’s Major League Baseball season yet again, which means consumers of self-regarding Washington, D.C. media could reasonably expect to read splashy news coverage about media-hungry immunologist Anthony Fauci at Nationals Park. Unknown at this juncture is whether he’ll be waving to a few thousand fans, or somewhere north of 40,000 — the Park’s capacity.
Whether it’s a few thousand or tens of thousands, Fauci’s attendance will be symbolic of issues beyond crowd size. In particular,
Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-NY) said Monday on MSNBC’s “All In” that the Democrats would try and work with Republicans but not by “sacrificing the bold, progressive change that America demands.”
Schumer said, “The question that everyone’s asking is why is there such a dichotomy between the Republican voters, electorate, and the Republican Senators. For instance, 60% of Republicans think the ARP, the American Rescue Plan, the most comprehensive progressive piece of legislation we passed in decades, is a good thing. How many Republican Senators voted for it? Zero. Why? It’s because Trump still controls them. They’re still afraid of him.
As riots rage on the streets of Brooklyn Center, Minnesota, armed civilians were photographed standing guard outside a business to keep looters away.
The riots are occurring one day after 20-year-old Daunte Wright was shot and fatally wounded by a Brooklyn police officer during a traffic stop. On Monday, Brooklyn Center Police Chief Tim Gannon indicated the officer may have shot Wright accidentally.
Townhall’s Julio Rosas posted a photo of rioters allegedly throwing projectiles at police: He explained that while police were focused on protecting the police building from one set of rioters, others were allegedly looting various stores at will.
Brooklyn Center City Manager Curt Boganey was fired on Monday evening, hours after he publicly disagreed with Mayor Mike Elliott’s assertion that the police officer who fatally shot a Black man in the Minneapolis suburb should be immediately fired in response to the incident.
"Effective immediately our city manager has been relieved of his duties, and the deputy city manager will be assuming his duties moving forward," Elliott wrote on Twitter. Yesterday, news broke that somewhere around 100 companies joined a private conference call to discuss how to combat red states that dare have reasonable regulations around voting. This is, of course, all stemming from the lies surrounding Georgia’s recent election reform law (see here and here for more details on that).
The companies involved included such mainstays as Coca-Cola, United Airlines, Wal-Mart, AMC Theaters, and Aflac. Apparently, this entire “conflab” was put together by Jeffrey Sonnefeld, a Yale professor. As per our usual arrangement, this garbage starts in our ivy league schools.

Early Friday morning, an Austin, Texas, police officer was shot in the line of duty in the city’s northeast. KXAN reports:
According to Interim Austin Police Chief Joseph Chacon, it began when someone called 911, saying someone in another car was shooting at them. Minutes later, officers found the 911 caller, who had not been shot. Officers then found the vehicle of the person they believed fired the shots.
Police say officers got behind the vehicle, turned on their lights and stopped the vehicle. As they exited their vehicle, the person in the car began shooting at them. Two officers returned fire.
One officer and the suspect both suffered gunshot wounds.
