Maybe Chuck Schumer hasn't read the part in the US Constitution where it tells about how voting is left up to each state. I'm pretty sure that each state knows better what works for them than an out of touch power mad Democrat from New York or California. The Democrat backed voter bill is a blatant Federal power grab. If it is too hard to hard to get an ID to vote, it must also be too hard to get an ID for everything else so having an ID for anything should be illegal.

Something I read yesterday sure fits with what the 'progressives' are trying to do to us... 'Power is in tearing human minds to pieces and putting them together again in new shapes of your own choosing.' George Orwell This is what they are doing to us. Trying to convince us that men can become women, global warming is going to destroy the planet, purging the voting rolls of dead people is voter suppression (Yup, yesterday at a Senate meeting a GDdemocrat said that). That voter I.D. is racism, that open borders, inviting millions of third world citizens to our country in the name of diversity, is good for us. That burning down a federal courthouse is O.K. because it was done at night. Burning and looting businesses is a peaceful demonstration. That the United States became a country in 1619, that every White person is a racist. You get my drift. We have got to stop these demented, evil people who are determined to destroy everything good in our Country and want to replace it with slavery and servitude with all of them our new Lords and Masters.

This is another example of that "soft bigotry of low expectation's" that Democrats display all of the time. While they call everyone else "racist" the insistence that requiring an ID to vote hurts disenfranchises minorities really means that minorities are too stupid to know how to get an ID. What else can it mean? We need an ID for everything, from cashing a check, getting on a plane, entering certain buildings, buying alcohol, cigarettes to buying cough and cold medicine's. A month ago, we went to the bank to get ten two dollar bills to give to the grandchildren. We have had our account's at this bank for thirty nine years. When my husband gave the teller a a good old American twenty dollar bill, the teller made him show his ID to change it. I guess it's lucky that we're not an official minority or we wouldn't have had the special surprise for the kids.

The “For the People Act” is assisted government suicide for America. There is no difference between communism and socialism, except in the means of achieving the same ultimate end: communism proposes to enslave men by force, socialism—by vote. #2, I believe Schumer knows, but did you notice the phrase "modern democracy"? See, that tired, old Republic is not modern any longer to today's democrat party establishment. I would not doubt that there will no longer be any state lines, and people will pay the same taxes and live under the same rules throughout the territory currently known as the United States. The people elected to Mayor and other regional offices, will simply be functionaries of the Federal office holders in charge of that particular region (formerly known as a State). Of course, the Republicans seem to be counting on something to keep this from happening, but if they remove the filibuster, and then vote in HR 1, thus, ending all State elections, what's stopping them? SCOTUS?

Why on earth cannot Republican senators take the odious Schumer to task for accusing various states of racism and voter suppression. Some of those states are represented by Democrat senators. Ask these senators whether they represent Jim Crow states. For good measure point out that the real Jim Crow laws were the creation of the Democrat Party, the party of slavery.

Defining terms is important, here, as always. In this case, Schumer has clearly defined "Modern Democracy" to be the Venezuelan uniparty version he and the democrat machine have created, the one enabled by fraudulent elections, fake ballots, and the Bizarro redefinition of so much of our basic vocabulary. In Schumer's definition, the 74 million Americans who voted for Trump have no voice in government whatsoever. If the traditional definition of Modern Democracy is used, the reality is that it is Schumer himself, personally, is "One of the Greatest Threats We Have to Modern Democracy in America", rigging elections, disenfranchising minority parties, packing SCOTUS, adding democrat states, etc etc etc.

Sorry, reposted so I could add stuff. In Schumer's definition, the 74 million Americans who voted for Trump have no voice in government whatsoever, voter ID is intentionally disabled to allow fake votes, one Trump voter = 0.87 Trump votes (see Ware Co. GA), etc etc. Using Schumer's apparent definition of the term, therefore, he is right: State voting laws are a great threat to his version of 'Modern Democracy.' However, if a more traditional definition of Modern Democracy is used, the reality is that it is Schumer himself, personally, is "One of the Greatest Threats We Have to Modern Democracy in America", rigging elections, disenfranchising minority parties, packing SCOTUS, adding democrat states, etc etc etc.
