NCAA backs biological males

as showdown looms with Florida

The National Collegiate Athletic Association, a cartel controlling the multibillion-dollar college athletics business, may be painting itself into a corner. Probably because it is a creature of the higher education industry that has gone off the deep end in its commitment to far-left politics, the NCAA is taking an extreme position on transgenderism and apparently seeking a confrontation with the State of Florida if it passes a law currently under consideration that would limit participation in women’s sports to biological women. It's apparent that the time for women's sports has passed... When the NCAA is willing to destroy the entire structure of women's sports to mollify lewer than 1% of the populace, the time has come to let them do it! A rational congress :-) needs to rework title 9 in hopes that it will constrain lunacy like the NCAA.

They need to have a Tranny Athletic Association. There are certain absolutes even if you don't like it. Yes, a man can play dress up, have things added to his body, have things cut off or rearranged. He is still a man no matter what the people in his head tell him. To destroy girl's/women's sports to appear to be woke is wrong. I'm sorry ladies. I don't know what to tell you but millions of us are on your side.

Where are the MeToo women? They seem to have disappeared all together. We should boycott any group that allows biological men to compete with women. It is no longer a woman's sport. It is time to protest with your vote if you have one left.

The NCAA thought it was being brave - - when it was bullying a small state like South Dakota - - which has a craven, gutless governor - - Kristi Gnome. But let's see how brave it is - - when the second and third largest states - - which both are major collegiate sports powerhouses - - stand up to them. When that happens - - all of the NCAA board members are going to be looking to change their sex.

FTA: "(A) transgender male athlete is allowed to participate in NCAA men’s competitions if they (sic) have received a medical exception for treatment with testosterone." A woman athlete "transitioning" to male--there's no such thing in reality--is a pitiful character, destined to finish last in every event, by a long margin. I'm amazed that the IOC (International Olympic Committee) and the NCAA make such a deal about amounts of testosterone (both men and women have testosterone, as well as estrogen) when a simple XY or XX test is all that's necessary. Let's stop splitting hairs about amounts of testosterone. All that we need is a test to determine whether the athlete has a "Y" chromosome. If he does, he can't compete against women. And if he tries he should be driven out of decent society as a cheater who likes to pick on women. Sen. Scott has my admiration for coming down so forcefully in favor of real woman athletes, who should not ever have to compete against men in competition where speed and strength are paramount. As I said in another thread yesterday, the NCAA can go away forever. We'll find another parent organization that hasn't been fatally infected by LGBTQ propaganda. If a man calling himself a woman manages to make the Olympics, he should have his gym shorts pulled all the way down on worldwide television. Hey, that's not a woman! Duh. I'm losing patience with this foolishness.

Frankly, the state has no business telling NCAA or anyone what the rules of their games are. The NCAA is a sanctioning body, and for those schools who disagree, they can join others, like the NAIA. Do you know what the International Olympics Committee rules are in this matter? Essentially there are none. Why? Because the international sports court says "the science" in these matters is questionable. And it was a "natural" woman who brought the suit to that court because she has an unnaturally high level of testosterone that failed to meet the "standard" for being female. Like or not, the NCAA is a private association of schools. They put on competitions, but are also conscious of the bottom line in the entertainment business. Professional sports, from NFL to MLB to PGA/USGA are invariably open to all "genders" based on their merits. Frankly, college and high school sports should adopt the same standard. Women demanded EQUALITY...give it to them.

#30 is referring obliquely, tacitly to South African middle distance runner Caster Semenya, who has a male android pelvis--one of the straightest pelvises I've ever seen--several times the testosterone of a "natural" woman, which Semenya isn't. Semenya has run afoul of international track and field foundations' illogical testosterone limits--just test for X or Y--and was ordered to get that level down nearer that of a real woman, maybe down to double what a real woman has instead or four times. Semenya protested that if required to reduce his testosterone, his times in the 800 meters would be ten seconds slower! (Semenya, who had run 1:54, had come within a second of the women's 800 meter world record. (The women's world record for 800 meters is 1:53.28. The men's record is 1:40.91.) Now Semenya can't run under two minutes without his naturally occurring testosterone. Tough noogies. You're a guy. And you weren't any faster than some high school boys I've seen. Semen-ya! It should have been obvious.

When this stupidity first started I said it would be the end of women's sports. This should do it unless the colleges band together and form a new association. I can see the Southeastern and flyover country states actually doing this. I can also see a male college golfer eyeing the money on the LPGA tour and deciding that it would be more lucrative than going head to head with Dustin Johnson and the other greats on the PGA circuit. Most of those college guys are pounding out 300-yard drives now and those shorter courses the ladies play might look very attractive to someone just in it for the money.
