Oberlin College condemns

OBERLIN — Following the murders of eight people at Atlanta spas Tuesday night, Oberlin College has renewed its condemnation of violence against Asian Americans.(Snip)Another condemnation came even earlier, on March 7, from Meredith Gadsby, associate professor of Africana studies and comparative American studies, and Bill Quillen, dean of the Oberlin Conservatory of Music. As co-chairs of Oberlin College's Presidential Initiative on Racial Equity and Diversity, they laid partial blame for attacks on "our national leadership in recent years," obliquely criticizing former President Donald Trump.(Snip)"Many in our communities hold multiple identities with which they navigate the messiness of American racial dynamics," they wrote.

Comments:

On March 23, 2020, President Trump made clear in a tweet: “It is very important that we totally protect our Asian American community in the United States, and all around the world. They are amazing people, and the spreading of the Virus is NOT their fault in any way, shape, or form. They are working closely with us to get rid of it. WE WILL PREVAIL TOGETHER!”

Isn't this the ultra liberal college that had its head handed to it over some racial case they refused to settle? Interesting.

Asians have been discriminated against academically for years. Now that there's a chance to score imaginary points against Trump, they magically become a protected class. I advise our Asian friends not to get used to their new status because it will evaporate faster than spit in the Sahara as soon as it has served the dims purpose.

The massage parlor attack is horrible but he didn't shoot it up because they're Asian. He also shot and killed/injured a white guy, a Hispanic guy, a white woman, etc. This was not a "white supremacy attack on our Asian community". But everything is about race and white supremacy suddenly even though the number of true KKK white supremacists is trivial. Gotta cover up for BLM violence and hate with a distraction.

Elite universities are so worried about discrimination against Asians that they limit the number of Asians they will accept in their schools. I guess if you don't have many of "them" in your classrooms, there won't be as much of that horrible discrimination taking place.

The reason the Atlanta shooter attacked the massage parlor people was because he was blaming them for his sexual addiction not because they were Asians. The unspoken theme of hate crimes against Asian seniors is only touched on at the end of the article. These older Asians live in mixed neighborhoods and are easy targets for youth gang members playing the "knockout" game. They are smaller and lighter than their minority assailants and not likely to fight back so knocking them out is low risk. Also, law enforcement does not want to get involved with these crimes especially when their is no cash bail involved and the perpetrators can threaten and intimidate any witnesses.

Lets cut through all of the bullsh** and call it like it is. Number one, this so called college is run by a bunch of liberal political whack jobs and number two, 99% of the attacks on Asians are committed by black thugs. That's right black thugs. The same black thugs that are attacking jews and elderly white. Just look at the videos in NYC and its there as plain as day. The subway slasher was a lack guy and he's still hasn't been charged with a hate crime for slashing the faces of Asians. DeBlasio made a speech about attacks on Asians and said when caught the criminal would be charged with a hate crime. The guy got caught and when the mayor saw he was black he was never charged with a hate crime. Plus Oberlin College is an indoctrination center not a school of learning. Democrats are playing Asian for fools. Get it yet.

I don't believe there are suddenly a lot of attacks on Asians lately. Those gals that were killed by a serial killer were not targeted for their race or ethnicity (as Biden implied). No, I don't think there is a sudden increase of Asians being targeted because of COVID.

Were he to tap the tip of his nose, say, that would indicate smug self-satisfaction: I know this, keep me in your eye. But he doesn't tap the tip. He doesn't, in fact, feel all-wise.
