No Charges Against Officer Who Shot
Ashli Babbitt: DOJ

Original Article

The U.S. Capitol Police officer who shot dead an Air Force veteran during the tumultuous events on Jan. 6 will not be charged, the Department of Justice (DOJ) announced Wednesday. The U.S. Attorney’s Office for the District of Columbia and the DOJ’s Civil Rights Division decided jointly not to pursue charges against the officer. The decision came after a “thorough investigation” into the shooting of Ashli Babbitt, a 35-year-old who joined others in storming the U.S. Capitol in Washington during a joint session of Congress in January. Babbitt was shot while trying to climb through a broken window into the Speaker’s Lobby, adjacent to the House chamber.

Comments:

Common sense and their two good eyes should have told anyone that Ashli was not trying to crawl through the uppermost part of a partially broken glass pane in that doorway. The jagged lower glass was still fixed. Had she been through the broken pane when shot she’d have fallen on that lower jagged glass. A little woman, she was boosted on the back of a man. Early on a witness said she wanted to poke her cell phone/camera through the broken-out portion of the pane. That account strangely disappeared. Her family needs to file a civil suit.

Of course. Did you expect anything less? Meanwhile, an officer who may have over-reacted or made a terrible mistake in Minneapolis is going to be drawn, quartered, tarred and feathered, and then treated very badly. All hail Big Brother!

“thorough investigation” Translation, predetermined outcome investigation. I hope this trigger happy cop is outed. This is a bad cop, an affirmative action cop. How many in line of duty shootings are on this killer’s record?

A black guy, without warning, shot an unarmed white woman . She was trespassing. Nothing to see, move along. A cop shoots a guy that was wanted and was resisting arrest, the cop will be indicted.

OK, I'll say it. She had the wrong color skin to ever expect this to go to court!!! And since they have never mentioned it, I'm guessing the cop was black. The DOJ knows white people aren't going to take to the streets, doing violent protests, burning down cities, and hurting innocent people. So nothing to lose by just dropping it. I was never racist in my 63 years. But I am seriously considering it now...

Exactly what was the imminent mortal threat that the unarmed Ashli Babbitt posed that would completely justify and exonerate a trained officer for shooting and killing her??? The family needs to immediately file a civil suit for her wrongful death.

Justice for us, Just-Us for Democrat's executioners. Naci will probably give the executioner some kinda Congressional award for bold action in the face of an unarmed non threatening woman. When its a black guy shot by accident by a white women, its Democrats' time to riot. When a black man executes a white woman, its hero worship time. This is getting beyond disgusting.

So, murder by Pelosi's thugs is OK. Shooting an unarmed trespasser is OK. Murder is OK as long as you murder a white woman. There would have been hell to pay if this thug had been white and had shot a black trespasser. But a black thug shooting a white trespasser.....that's perfectly OK with the criminals-in-charge in DC.

So a Capitol Police officer who intentionally shot an unarmed civilian goes free without even being identified while a Minnesota police officer who accidentally shot a wanted man who was resisting arrest is identified and arrested. The White House Friday reversed course on refugee admissions, after an earlier announcement maintaining a controversial Trump-era refugee cap was met with disdain by Democrats and immigration activists. Following a day of blowback from Democrats, White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki announced Biden would set a new, higher ceiling in May after initially saying it would keep the current 15,000 limit. The initial decision had led to widespread complaints from Democratic lawmakers and groups representing refugees, who had already been urging Biden to lift the ceiling put in place by former President Trump. Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-Minn.), who came to the United States as a refugee, called it "shameful."
Democrats Introduce Bill to Expand Supreme

A group of Democrats on Thursday unveiled their bill to expand the Supreme Court, but party leaders showed little support and Republicans assailed the proposal as radical. The “Judiciary Act of 2021” would add four seats to the nation’s top court, effectively flipping the balance from 6–3 in favor of conservative-appointed justices to 7–6 in the opposite direction. The rationale fueling the proposal is that Republicans confirmed Justice Amy Coney Barrett after Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg died last year. The GOP broke no rules or laws, but some Democrats were bitter that they did not hold the seat open for whoever won the 2020 election.

CBS News deceptively cropped body camera footage that showed a 13-year-old boy holding a gun before he was fatally shot by Chicago police in March. A law enforcement officer fatally shot Adam Toledo during an encounter in response to gunshots heard on a police scanner. Police said Toledo ignored “verbal directions, fled, used significant force, and was armed with a semiautomatic pistol,” which is why the officer fired. Body cam footage released this week appears to show Toledo holding a weapon moments before he was shot, but CBS News posted a clip to its website and Twitter page that cropped out the footage showing the teen’s alleged firearm.

How did this happen? How did the nation go in an instant from disbelieving every utterance of Donald Trump to robotically repeating — and acting on — every claim that falls out of Joe Biden’s mouth, no matter how disconnected from the truth? The most glaring example involves Biden’s fact-challenged tirade against Georgia’s new voting law. At his first and only press conference, Biden declared the state’s efforts to protect against voter fraud were worse than Jim Crow, “un-American,” “sick,” and “despicable.” (This was the same press conference where moments later Biden bragged about how much time he’s spent with China’s genocidal communist dictator before calling him “a smart, smart guy.”)

Say what you want about Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene, but one thing about the first-term Republican Congresswoman from Georgia that no one can dispute is that she does not back down from a fight, especially when she’s on the receiving end of an unprovoked attack.(Snip)The latest Democrat to learn that Greene has not morphed into a meek and timid freshman lawmaker after the House voted in February to strip her of her committee assignments was Rep. Eric Swalwell (CA), .(Snip) It all started on Wednesday after Greene challenged Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) to a debate about the Green New Deal.

On Friday’s broadcast of MSNBC’s “The ReidOut,” White House Chief Medical Adviser Dr. Anthony Fauci said that fully vaccinated people can go to indoor restaurants, but “it’s a relative risk. When you have a lot of infection in the community, then you want to be careful. That’s why we say, wear a mask.” Host Joy Reid asked if fully vaccinated people can eat in indoor restaurants, fly, or hug their older relatives. Fauci said, “You know, it depends on the level of infection in your community. It doesn’t matter what the level of infection is, if you are vaccinated and you want to have something in the home, you, your family

With all this push for Hollywood “diversity” one often wonders if Hollywood has a vendetta against traditional standards of movie making. According to one insider, that’s exactly the case for at least one major studio. Sci-fi author Nick Cole, co-author of the Galaxy’s Edge series, claimed that during a pitch meeting, a major Hollywood studio passed on a recent project he had been working on, citing the fact that they’re done producing content for “White, Christian, Trash.” Oh wow, that’s a hell of a way to say it. Perhaps this is the sentiment underlying Hollywood’s spate of inclusivity-over-everything pledges they’ve made in the past few years.

That's up from 51 percent of Americans who said they favored legalization in 2012, the first year Quinnipiac included questions about marijuana in their national surveys, and up from 60 percent who backed legalization in 2019. (Snip) Support isn't just growing, it is broadening. The Quinnipiac poll found that 78 percent of self-identified Democrats, 62 percent of self-identified Republicans, and 67 percent of self-identified independents favor legalization.

BROOKLYN CENTER, Minn —When William Adams moved to this area a few years ago, he joined thousands of Minneapolis residents in transforming Brooklyn Center from the mostly White suburb it once was into one where people of color account for more than half the population. But as he tried to settle into the community, Adams, who is Black, was always reminded of how Brooklyn Center police used to harass him in the early 1970s when he came to visit his girlfriend, who was White. “They would see something hanging in the window, or a light out on my car and

Anybody who’s taking Dr. Anthony Fauci seriously probably needs to stop doing so. He endlessly moves the goalposts to maintain his unlimited power over the American people, something Democrats support. That’s why, on Thursday, during House testimony, Rep. Maxine Watters (who is a low-rent harridan) tried to shut down Rep. Jim Jordan’s efforts to get Fauci to say when enough Americans will be vaccinated so that COVID restrictions can end. The past year has shown that Fauci either has no idea what he’s talking about or is trying to advance an agenda that invariably has to do with maintaining the 2020 status quo of lockdowns, isolation, and masks.
