Pennsylvania is planning to take additional steps to address a sharp increase in coronavirus infections and hospitalizations, including requiring masks to be worn indoors with limited exceptions, officials said Tuesday. In addition, starting Friday, anyone who enters Pennsylvania must be tested at least 72 hours before arrival, and if they can or do not get a test, they must quarantine for 14 days. The order does not apply to people who commute to neighboring states for work or health care, officials said, and will be largely self-enforced. This will prove disappointing to many elites, who have enthusiastically latched onto the idea that the virus justifies “The Great Reset”: policies hyped to, as Joe Biden would say, “Build Back Better,” which, coincidentally, happen to be whatever they had already felt like doing to us beforehand.

It's been 15 days since the presidential election, and 11 days since major news organizations declared Joe Biden the winner. President Trump has not conceded and continues to press challenges to the results in states that he won in 2016 but have been called for Biden this time -- Arizona, Georgia, Pennsylvania, Michigan, Wisconsin.
Although the poorly documented, sudden appearance, of thousands of "Biden" ballots may appear to be fraud, it's not proof.
And in any event, they're mixed in with the full ballot pool, and can't be disentangled.
Or can they?
Let's consider the dumping scenario. Due to the limited time frame required to falsify ballots, it's likely that only a limited number of people participated.
So what does this mean? It means that (1) the same sets of fingerprints should appear on multiple ballots (likely in the same place(s) on the ballot), and (2) these identifiers won't match known voting ballot handlers (eg election workers or ballot manufacturers).
A recount monitor in Georgia discovered a 9,626-vote error in the hand recount in DeKalb County, according to the chairman of the Georgia Republican Party.
“One of our monitors discovered a 9,626-vote error in the DeKalb County hand count. One batch was labeled 10,707 for Biden and 13 for Trump—an improbable margin even by DeKalb standards. The actual count for the batch was 1,081 for Biden and 13 for Trump,” David Shafer wrote (Snip) Shafer said that two official counters signed off on the miscounted batch. GOP attorneys turned over an affidavit (pdf) on the incident to the Georgia secretary of state and requested an investigation.

Pfizer and BioNTech announced Wednesday that they would submit their coronavirus vaccine candidate for regulatory approval “within days” after finding the vaccine to be 95 percent effective at preventing symptomatic COVID-19 with no serious side effects.
A final analysis of results from their Phase 3 trial revealed the vaccine was even more effective than the 90 percent efficacy rate the companies announced last week. Among the 41,135 participants in the trial who received two doses, there has been no serious side effects with the most common reactions being fatigue and headache, which were experienced by only 3.7 percent of participants and 2 percent of participants, respectively.

The publication of Barack Obama’s new memoir Tuesday was timed to carry the news cycle regardless of the election’s outcome. The opinions expressed in “A Promised Land”—on America, race, Donald Trump, and so on—are more vivid than anything the Democratic candidate has said in his last year of campaigning. And so even after Joe Biden and the press corps have declared him president-elect, he continues to walk in the shadow of his former boss.
That is intentional. Obama wants it understood that Biden is an avatar for a third Obama term. Now he can complete the work of “fundamentally transforming America,” as he put it days before the 2008 election.

REDDING — A man wanted for his role in an alleged $35 million Ponzi scheme was arrested Monday after evading FBI agents by swimming into California’s largest reservoir using an underwater “sea scooter,” federal prosecutors said.
Matthew Piercey spent nearly 30 minutes in frigid Lake Shasta using the Yamaha 350Li submersible device before he eventually resurfaced and was handcuffed, the Sacramento Bee reported. It wasn't immediately known if the 44-year-old has an attorney.
When agents went to arrest Piercey, he hopped in a pickup and led them on a chase that ended at the shoreline of the lake north of Redding.

In a best-case scenario for Democrats, the Biden administration will start with a smaller Democratic majority in the House and a 50-50 Senate. If Republicans can win just one of the two Georgia Senate runoff races, Democrats will be stuck in the minority in the upper chamber.

Democratic Senate candidate Raphael Warnock said in a 2011 sermon that Americans cannot serve God while also serving in the U.S. military.
The newly unearthed comments threaten to complicate Warnock's candidacy in a tight Georgia Senate race: Georgia is home to the fifth largest active duty military population in the country, according to a 2018 Department of Defense report.

Last week the World Health Organization devoted four full hours of its annual assembly in Geneva to bashing Israel for supposedly violating the health rights of Palestinians.

Back on June 10th in Portsmouth, Virginia, a large group of protesters decided to tear down and destroy a Confederate monument located in that city. An investigation was launched, led by Portsmouth Police Chief Angela Greene. After collecting video from the event and conducting interviews for two months, Greene announced in August that charges were being filed against 19 people who had been involved in the destruction. Police were seeking 13 more people who had yet to be identified. In the process, one of the protesters was severely injured when the statue was pulled down on top of them by his accomplices. That was also being investigated separately.
