Warnock: ‘Nobody Can
Serve God and the Military’

Democratic Senate candidate Raphael Warnock said in a 2011 sermon that Americans cannot serve God while also serving in the U.S. military. The newly unearthed comments threaten to complicate Warnock's candidacy in a tight Georgia Senate race: Georgia is home to the fifth largest active duty military population in the country, according to a 2018 Department of Defense report. "America, nobody can serve God and the military," Warnock said in the sermon delivered at Ebenezer Baptist Church in Atlanta, where he serves as senior pastor. "You can't serve God and money. You cannot serve God and mammon at the same time."

this guy is so rabid he's off the scale!! what kind of childhood did he have? he must have been parentally deprived or seriously emotionally and/or physically abused and should be figuring how to get out of prison rather than being elected to the United States Senate. Kelly Loeffler really has a challenge on her hands just trying to dodge the verbal mortar rounds coming from this guy's side of the world. he is a very dangerous person.

What a maroon! He can't be much of a preacher if he doesn't know about David, the son of Jesse, who became the finest warrior in Israel's early history. Every time David prevailed, it was because God led the charge! Raphael is one of those shepherds who feed only themselves. They are clouds without rain, blown along by the wind; autumn trees, without fruit and uprooted--twice dead. (Jude told you that!) Twice dead.

Just more proof that he has never cracked open his Bible and seriously read it. I guess the Hebrews, who had a superb military by the way, didn't serve God as well? God has never told any nation they didn't have the right to protect themselves. Even His own future city coming from Heaven has walls. My guess too is he missed the part about angels holding flaming swords too. I thought Wright and his black liberation theology was crazy, but this guy totally takes the crazy cake.

So many great comments this morning. God not only fought with and for the Israelites but He still does the same for today's IDF. He has performed miracles for it numerous times. Several of those times occurred, if I remember correctly, during the 1967 war. Mr. Warlock is a worshipper of Mammon who gives lip service to God and His divinely inspired Word. It would be wise for his church to name another pastor as he does not seem interested in making sure his flock travels on the narrow road.

He can get away with such BS because only about one percent of the young adult US population are brave enough to serve in the military, many people today don’t even know anyone in the military, and no doubt he is preaching to a very low information flock that most likely believes everything he says. In the old days when there was a universal draft, with many of the sons of the rich, famous and everyone else being inducted into the military everyday and serving for two years, except the draft dodgers who absconded to Canada, the percentage of people believing him would be much smaller.

Former ambassador to the United Nations Nikki Haley put out a video Wednesday airing a litany of Georgia Senate candidate Raphael Warnock's (D.) left-wing views. The video by Haley's advocacy group Stand for America highlights Warnock's praise for anti-American preacher Jeremiah Wright, his connection to communist dictator Fidel Castro, and the policies he has supported that are "too radical for Georgia." "Raphael Warnock is an anti-America, anti-police, anti-Israel, anti-Semitic, anti-jobs, anti-taxpayer, pro-socialized medicine, and pro-communist radical," the video concludes. "That's a lot of reasons to stand against Raphael Warnock. That's a lot of reasons to stand for America."

Ask not what your country can do for you; ask what the Kennedys ever did for your country. Bring the monkey’s paw of being telegenic into politics? Of all the things that the American political system needed, this was the last. And whatever it was that the Kennedys did, they did most of it a long time ago. The assassination of John F. Kennedy is almost as distant in time as the assassination of William McKinley was when Kennedy took office. McKinley, by the way, also had great personal popularity. The campaign has withdrawn its lawsuit over the certification of election results in Michigan’s most populous county, the only chance — microscopic as it was — for overturning Donald Trump’s loss in the state. However, the statement this morning from Rudy Giuliani claims to have stopped the county’s certification, when in fact it took place two days ago: President Donald Trump’s re-election campaign said on Thursday it was withdrawing its lawsuit disputing vote results in Michigan, in another faltering legal attempt to challenge the Nov. 3 victory of U.S. President-elect Joe Biden.

The liberal media meltdown about last week’s speech by Supreme Court Justice Samuel Alito is silly and hypocritical. The speech was not only acceptable but insightful and appropriate. Alito was the featured speaker at the annual national meeting (by video because of the coronavirus) of the Federalist Society, a group of mostly conservative lawyers that sponsors debates and seminars throughout the country. His remarks were quite pointed, perhaps even provocative, but they were well within ethical bounds. The media and leftist politicians, though, reacted as if Alito had thrown a verbal Molotov cocktail into the edifice of judicial propriety. But the media’s vapors are nothing more than gaseous piffle.

Assigning liability for gun deaths to manufacturers is only the tip of the iceberg. Biden’s far-reaching program would drive online gun retailers out of business, which would include retailers selling gun supplies. It would force owners of AR-15s and other similar weapons to either sell them or register them
