Pennsylvania is planning to take additional steps to address a sharp increase in coronavirus infections and hospitalizations, including requiring masks to be worn indoors with limited exceptions, officials said Tuesday. In addition, starting Friday, anyone who enters Pennsylvania must be tested at least 72 hours before arrival, and if they can or do not get a test, they must quarantine for 14 days. The order does not apply to people who commute to neighboring states for work or health care, officials said, and will be largely self-enforced. Pennsylvania already has a statewide mask mandate, limits on indoor and outdoor gatherings and occupancy restrictions

What?? Am I not reading correctly? I guess this means if I'm tested 73 (or more days) before arrival, I've complied: "...must be tested at least 72 hours before arrival...". I think they mean "no more than 72". And I have NO idea what this means: "...and if they can or do not get a test, they must quarantine for 14 days".

Pennsylvania has been fraudulently electing Democrats for longer than I've been alive. I have doubts that we've ever been governed by the will of the People. But no one wants to take that first step and fight back. There are patriots and there are sheeple. And the sheeple are quick to demand the patriots stand down. Very frustrating.

Look, if people want to wear a mask in their homes, that's their right. However, it is not the right of someone to order someone else to wear a mask against their will in their own home. Where do you draw the line with this level of intrusiveness? Are they going to have a series of lockdowns every time there's a new virus? I'm all for people taking personal precautions but precautions must be proportional to the facts and not to the fear being inspired by the mass media and certain governments and medical bureaucracies.

But we have a little fellow as governor who selected an impossible public health commissioner - a man who thinks he is a woman. And the confused health commissioner mandated (no pun intended) that nursing homes had to admit Kung Flu sufferers. But what did the confused commissioner do with his/her/its own nursing home bound mother?. The commissioner took mom out of the nursing home and put her in a hotel. We here in western Pa just shake our heads, bewildered, dominated by filthy Philadelphia.

#34, I absolutely agree. Who will know what you’re doing in your own home? Unless, that is, you no longer have a right to live alone or with family or the friends of your own choosing. I saw Dr. Zhivago as a kid and never forgot the scene where Lara returns to her family’s home and finds it teeming with strangers who were assigned to live there after the property was confiscated by the state. Meanwhile, the leadership lived in luxury. That is what Communism is. It is a diabolical scheme that sounds noble in theory to the unsuspecting but only rewards the criminal-minded and ruthless among us.

Today the latest shutdown order by Governor Tim Walz took effect in Minnesota. COVID cases have been rising across the Upper Midwest, so our “emergency” continues. This time, the shutdown applies to restaurants, bars, gyms and youth sports. Of course, that COVID cases are rising is no mystery, even apart from the fact that vastly expanded testing naturally generates more cases. COVID is a seasonal flu bug. When it declined during the Summer in Northern states, it wasn’t because shutdowns and mask mandates were working. It was because the weather got hot. It was entirely predictable

Wearing a mask is important. For you and those around you. For elected officials? Not so much. Actually, all the COVID rules are for us, not them. COVID-19, and the accompanying lockdowns, have made it painfully clear: We plebes have to follow the rules; the elites do not. Start with California Gov. Gavin Newsom, who last week groveled for forgiveness after being caught attending a large birthday dinner at The French Laundry restaurant in Napa Valley. When pictures from the event surfaced, the hypocrisy was glaring: The governor was seen with his wife at a large table full of maskless lobbyists, all sitting in close proximity.

When President Trump refused to concede the election to Joe Biden in the immediate aftermath of Nov. 3, we argued that he had the right to mount legal challenges if he believed there had been irregularities, mistakes, fraud, or all three. Democratic objections and outrage were as hypocritical as they were inevitable, coming as they did from a corps that refused to accept the 2016 election result not for days, weeks, or even months, but for four years. But although fair-minded people know there are legitimate procedures for litigation, and that these should be allowed to play out, there is also wisdom in the phrase, “put up or shut up.”
