Alpha News has learned the executive director of the state’s Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR) was on the receiving end of more than $110,000 in taxpayer payments over six months for a publicly-funded adult foster care program he ran from a Rosemount residence. What’s more, after Alpha News contacted Jaylani Hussein for comment on April 29, his name and phone number were removed from the license record. (Snip) Hussein — who moved to Minnesota from Somalia in 1993 — has been (snip) frequently raising concerns about what he describes as bias against the Somali community.

“The bottom line is this: voter ID is not controversial in this country,” Harry Enten, the chief data analyst for CNN, recently reported. Nor is it controversial in virtually any other country in the world. Yet despite massive support among both Democrats (71%) and Republicans (95%), only one Democratic member of the House and one in the Senate are supporting the SAVE Act. Unless seven more of the 47 Senate Democrats step forward, their filibuster will kill the bill. (snip) If banning voter IDs is a hallmark of democracy, Democrats will need to start castigating virtually all the other countries in the world as anti-democratic nations.

Michele Tafoya, a longtime sportscaster and conservative commentator, filed papers Tuesday to run for US Senate in Minnesota, giving the Republican Party a well-known candidate in a state that’s being roiled by the ongoing federal immigration crackdown. (snip)“In Minnesota, law enforcement has been demonized for years,” Tafoya posted on X recently, responding to a video from Lt. Gov. Peggy Flanagan, who is running in the Democratic primary for Senate against Rep. Angie Craig. “We are short on officers. Morale has plummeted. Career criminals are released to offend again. And radical leftists care more about them than they do about honest Minnesotans who simply want to see the chaos end.”

People across the political spectrum were outraged this week when President Donald Trump dismissed the importance of the Epstein List. During his campaign, President Trump said, “Yeah, I’d do the Epstein thing. I’d have no problem with it.” Many people voted for President Trump, at least in part, because he promised to release the list. (snip)
As Christians, we understand that many times wicked deeds go unpunished in this present evil age. The Psalms testify repeatedly that evildoers seem to prosper because of their wealth and power, while those who are seeking the Lord suffer injustice and persecution

Attorney General Pam Bondi is facing increasing calls for her resignation or firing as a leaked Department of Justice memo has indicated the agency found no evidence that Jeffrey Epstein engaged in large-scale blackmail and that no master list of his clients existed.
Conservative activist Liz Wheeler ranked among the most vocal in her calls for Bondi's ouster, saying ""If I'm President Trump, I would not tolerate this behavior anymore. She has become a LIABILITY to his administration."
Wheeler further referenced Bondi's past orchestration of a botched public release of information to MAGA influencers in binders.

President Trump is finally getting his “big, beautiful” bill.
The GOP-led House of Representatives passed the One Big Beautiful Bill Act in a 218-214 vote Thursday following 29 hours of arm-twisting and deliberation that included the longest floor speech and longest procedural vote in the body’s 236-year history. (snip) “With this bill, every major promise I made to the people of Iowa in 2024 became a promise kept,” Trump said.

Saturday’s Operation Midnight Hammer, bombing Iran’s three most significant nuclear sites, proves that all the talk of America’s decline is merely wishful thinking from our adversaries. Just days before the bombing, Xi Jinping, general secretary of the Chinese Communist Party, proclaimed that the U.S. is on a path of “inevitable” decline, similar to other fallen empires throughout history. This same narrative — that “the East is rising while the West is declining” — has been propagated by Xi since 2020. Yet, the bombing of Iran demonstrates that America is far from declining.
