At least one person was killed and three were injured in a mass shooting at a post-prom party in Indianapolis early Sunday, cops said. Police were called to a rental house on the city’s north side at around 3:30 a.m. to reports of gunfire, WTHR reported. When officers arrived, they found one woman who was critically wounded. She was rushed to the hospital and later died of her injuries. Cops later received reports of two more victims who had managed to walk into a nearby hospital for treatment. All four victims are believed to have been shot at the same property, a short-term rental where a post-prom party was being thrown.

Comments:

I didn't realize how times have changed. After my date's prom, (now, the oft mentioned Wifey) we went to Arthur's night club in Manhattan, saw some rock and roll, and went to Jones Beach at dawn. Didn't realize we should have rented a house for a full-on shite-show.

What kind of a 'short term rental'? 10 years ago, I stayed at a VRBO. The fine print specified 'no parties.' Oooops, 7 people (all over 65) visiting in a living room on a Sunday afternoon is certainly not a wild party.

Just to pointlessly resist the subliminal programming the mass did no shooting. Smart money is on an over-indulged over-privileged feral minority, 13-25, from a single mother household who's never done a days work in his life.

For the past two years, New York and New Jersey infectious disease experts have been laser focused on prep and training for the upcoming FIFA World Cup games — with 1.2 million visitors from around the world set to watch 48 teams battle it out on the pitch. Across the US, those numbers skyrocket to 6-7 million. And with that massive influx of foreign visitors comes the threat of infectious — and sometimes deadly — diseases, including viral hemorrhagic fevers, RSV, tuberculosis, measles, varicella, hepatitis A, typhoid, malaria, SARS, hantavirus and even “high consequence” diseases with high mortality rates, like cholera and Ebola.

Biden administration officials may have sought to dodge public records laws and congressional oversight by classifying taxpayer-backed loans to Planned Parenthood as “Benghazi,” according to findings by Sen. Joni Ernst, R-Iowa. Ernst, chairwoman of the Senate Small Business Committee, has been investigating Small Business Administration loans to the nation’s largest abortion provider under the Paycheck Protection Program during the COVID-19 pandemic. In a letter sent Monday to acting Attorney General Todd Blanche, Ernst asked for a Justice Department investigation “for potential Federal Records Act violation by concealment and/or attempted concealment” of SBA records regarding loans to Planned Parenthood and loan forgiveness.

As Dr. Anthony Fauci’s right-hand man, David Morens, was charged this week with conspiracy and destruction of federal records in the COVID-19 cover-up, another scandal over the vaccine was unfolding on Capitol Hill. According to a new Senate report and congressional testimony on Wednesday, Biden administration health officials deliberately ignored warning signs of possible serious reactions to the COVID-19 vaccine, including heart attacks, strokes, Bell’s palsy and sudden cardiac death. Within three months of the vaccines being rolled out, in March 2021, red flags were fluttering out of the weekly data dumps from doctors and patients reporting health problems after the shots, according to internal emails and meeting notes

Former FBI Deputy Director Dan Bongino confessed in an interview Tuesday that he lives in constant fear that he’ll face retaliation after he shed light on corruption in the bureau and because of a document he found related to Crossfire Hurricane. Bongino, who left the bureau in January after roughly 10 months in the job, said he found the document in a burn bag that was related to the FBI probe into allegations of Russia collusion in President Donald Trump's 2016 campaign. The former deputy director claimed on the "Hang Out with Sean Hannity" podcast that the document was clearly meant to be destroyed

A former Minnesota state trooper alleged this week that his bosses at the state Department of Human Services tried to bully him into quashing his findings of fraud in the state’s child care funding program. Jay Swanson, a former criminal investigator for the DHS, also revealed that it was well known among Somali refugees in East Africa that Minnesota was the best place to go in the US to pull off child care fraud schemes. And then Gov. Tim Walz came into office — and Swanson’s entire department investigating waste, fraud and abuse was eliminated, according to Republican lawmakers. A large Roman Catholic diocese pushed back at criticism Friday after Pope Leo XIV appointed a former illegal immigrant as a bishop amid heightened tensions between the Vatican and Washington over refugees and ICE enforcement. Leo nominated Bishop Evelio Menjivar-Ayala as bishop of the Diocese of Wheeling-Charleston, which covers all of West Virginia. Menjivar-Ayala originally arrived in San Ysidro, California, smuggled in a car trunk after making several prior attempts as a teenager to flee guerrilla war-torn El Salvador. The bishop has also been critical of increased immigration enforcement measures, calling them a human rights concern and responding directly to critiques of the church from fellow Catholics in the Trump administration ...

That's the year that the birth control pill was introduced in the U.S., and the birth rate began to decline. Today, we're simply referred to as "Boomers." We grew up in a period of massive wealth creation, painful social change, and the specter of nuclear annihilation hanging over our heads. Yet the constant drumbeat continues: there are jihad attacks around the world virtually every day, and increasingly in the United States.
