A federal judge on Monday decried the prison treatment of President Donald Trump's alleged would-be assassin, and apologized to him for restrictive confinement imposed by jail staff…The judge said even Jan. 6 defendants were only house in a Correctional Treatment Facility (CTF), a less restrictive form of prison housing. "Pardons may erase convictions, but they don’t erase history," he said. "They were hanging gallows outside."

"Insane. How do so many anti-American people become judges?" It's simple. People vote for Democrats who appoint and confirm federal judges who hate the USA. In this case those same judges appointed this gafoon who is a magistrate judge.

Answering OP's questions......they were selected by Dems because they are anti-American, that is a feature as far as Dems are concerned. Patriotic is to Dems a serious problem, as is 'committed to the letter of the law' rather than 'the law is flexible'.

Just in case y'all were wondering, from AI:
"He [Judge Zia Faruqui] is the first Muslim judge appointed to the Federal Court in Washington, D.C., and has been involved in diversity and inclusion efforts, including serving as the Muslim-Arab outreach coordinator for the U.S. Attorney's office."
Yes, the United States of America has been in a suicide pact with itself for decades now. The islamification of our great Republic must STOP and STOP NOW!

I'm sure many of the J6 political prisoners would disagree with the Judge's description of their luxurious prison accommodations.

Making someone called Zia Furuqui a judge is nothing but the death wish of a civilization. Have we gone mad as a people??

The attacker didn't expect to survive, as shown by his writings. Failure to put him on suicide watch would have been irresponsible on the part of the staff, and law enforcement would have been blamed if/when he attacked himself or harmed someone else. The notion he deserved an apology for being prevented from killing himself is pure democrat hogwash. It's another attack on common sense and people who possess it.

I remember reading all kinds of horror stories about how the J6 accused were treated - first offenders guilty of nothing more than trespassing jailed for months without trial or bail, swat teams sent to their homes with no prior notice to arrest them, minor offences blown up into violent felonies, and abuse by prison guards while incarcerated. By comparison this basement-dwelling, gamer loser and self-described "friendly Federal assassin" is being treated quite well.
By all means, remove the restrictions on the orders of the Muslim judge. Then he's responsible when the perp realizes that he's hosed the rest of his life and hangs himself in his cell.

Sorry for the second post, but he's a "federal magistrate;" fire his ass, no Article III (or one-hundred eleven, for that nitwit Somali) protections for him.

Jumping on #5's comment, can the GOP figure a way to link these radical Dem judges to the Democrats voting them in?
Can we illustrate the destruction caused by these judges by their radical decisions?

J6 was not an issue before the judge, and his introducing it disqualifies from the case due to obvious bias.

As bad as the presidentially appointed - Senate confirmed federal judges on the DC bench are, Zia Furuqui is a magistrate judge appointed by those federal judges.
