'Teens', 'students', and now 'young people'. Can't fix the problem unless we call it what it is: monsters among us, and everyone knows which group it is.

Couldn’t agree with OP more. More and more I ask myself why, when the forefathers of law abiding Americans built this country so that their descendants could enjoy freedom, peace and prosperity, do we continue to tolerate the disrespect and degradation of rebellious subcultures. It is our duty to cherish our inheritance and not to share it with those who wish to destroy it.

Laws and punishment can only go so far in our current situation. This sort of thing is enforcing the idea that blacks are a criminal race. The decent, hardworking blacks are the ones that need to step forward. No more "leaders" like the race hustler Al Sharpton but real leaders who can step forward, ignore the 'Uncle Tom' slurs and try to really help. Pull no punches and tell their brothers that they are ruining their lives, straighten up and become productive citizens while there is still time.

Re the "mall troop". These so called 'yutes' have destroyed and erased several large shopping malls in the KC area. Indian Springs mall was first, north and west of me, then Bannister Mall, on the SE corner of KC metro area, and finally the Metcalf South mall. All died from the same disease. When ordinary people can't get from their car to the mall and back without fear of being robbed at gunpoint, and see herds of rowdy 'yutes' making noise and running and fighting in the common areas.....people just do not go back to that unsafe, uncomfortable feeling place. The one closest to our suburban home is still doing pretty well, and actually has a Pennys store which has a lot of good stuff to buy. The yutes seem to not travel that far out into the suburbs, away from their normal areas of destruction.

The suspected hantavirus outbreak on the MV Hondius cruise ship, which has killed three people and sickened at least seven others, has two likely causes — and both are bad news for the 150 passengers on board, experts said. At least one person was killed and three were injured in a mass shooting at a post-prom party in Indianapolis early Sunday, cops said. Police were called to a rental house on the city’s north side at around 3:30 a.m. to reports of gunfire, WTHR reported. When officers arrived, they found one woman who was critically wounded. She was rushed to the hospital and later died of her injuries. Cops later received reports of two more victims who had managed to walk into a nearby hospital for treatment. All four victims are believed to have been shot at the same property, a short-term rental where a post-prom party was being thrown.
