The Strait of Hormuz in the Middle East is hardly the only waterway on President Donald Trump’s mind at the moment. While Trump and the international media may be talking about the Strait of Hormuz nonstop, the broader questions about other sea lanes and shipping waterways have very much dominated the geopolitical discussion worldwide upon Trump’s return to the White House and have been at the center of tensions between the U.S. and China, set for a worldwide primetime showdown when Trump visits Beijing in May. A top Greek government official is dishing on how Trump and his envoy to the Hellenic Republic have outmaneuvered Chinese President Xi Jinping —

Equally disturbing is the role of Al-Jazeera itself. Owned, funded, and controlled by the government of Qatar, Al-Jazeera, particularly its Arabic-language channel, has long provided a platform for Hamas and the Muslim Brotherhood movement. Its coverage frequently echoes Hamas and Muslim Brotherhood narratives, and amplifies anti-Israel propaganda and antisemitic rhetoric.
Reports by the Middle East Media Research Institute (MEMRI) have documented Al-Jazeera providing a platform for guests who assert that Jews are "enemies of Muslims and all humanity" or that they control global affairs.

By blocking Iranian exports in retaliation for the closure of the Strait of Hormuz, the Trump administration is poised to strip the cash-strapped regime in Tehran of one of its last streams of revenue.
President Donald Trump ordered the blockade to begin on Monday after negotiations in Pakistan between U.S. and Iranian officials ended in a stalemate. In those negotiations, Iranian officials steadfastly refused to drop their demand for a new role in governing the vital waterway.
Iran, which has effectively closed the Strait of Hormuz since the beginning of the conflict with the U.S. earlier this year,

Whoever’s calling the shots in Iran wasted yet another chance for peace over the weekend, and now President Donald Trump will again call Tehran’s bluff.
Iran’s negotiators refused to satisfy America’s demands Saturday in talks in Pakistan, as regime leaders bet that playing the Strait of Hormuz card would get Trump to blink.
Instead, he played it right back at them — announcing his own blockade, so that Iran’s oil exports (which had continued despite the war) will also be blocked.

Pearl clutchers of the world, unite! You have nothing to lose but your credibility. A week ago, on Easter Sunday—Easter Sunday, forsooth!—President Trump horrified delicate souls by issuing this minatory post on Truth Social:
Tuesday will be Power Plant Day, and Bridge Day, all wrapped up in one, in Iran. There will be nothing like it!!! Open the F–kin’ Strait, you crazy bastards, or you’ll be living in Hell – JUST WATCH! Praise be to Allah.
Oh dear, oh dear, oh dear. That meanie used a bad word, called the Iranian mullahs “crazy bastards,” and taunted them by saying, “Praise be to Allah.” How disrespectful can you get?

In peace, there’s nothing so becomes a man as modest stillness and humility (nothing personal, you understand), but when the blast of war blows in our ears, then imitate the action of the tiger. Stiffen the sinews, conjure up the blood, and disguise fair nature with hard-favored rage. You might also want to lend the eye a terrible aspect and let it pry through the portage of the head like the brass cannon and blah blah blah. I’m sure you can improvise all this. Just set the teeth and stretch the nostril wide, hold hard the breath, and bend up every spirit to his full height.

Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orbán conceded defeat in the parliamentary elections on Sunday, bringing an end to 16 years of governance in Budapest.
Following a hotly contested campaign against his rival, Member of European Parliament Péter Magyar, and his upstart Tisza Party, a record turnout of over three-quarters of voters decided to turn the page from Viktor Orbán’s Fidesz party, which had ruled the country since 2010.With over two-thirds of the votes counted, Tisza held a lead of 53 per cent to 37 per cent, according to Magyar Nemzet, likely paving the way for a governing majority in the parliament.

Before he launched a daring military capture of the dictator Nicholas Maduro, President Donald Trump brought the Venezuelan economy to its knees with a naval blockade that strangled the nation’s oil revenues.
If Iran refuses to accept the final deal the United States offered Saturday, Trump could bomb Tehran back to the “Stone Ages” as he vowed. Or he could reprise his successful blockade strategy to choke an already teetering Iranian economy and ratchet up diplomatic pressure on China and India by cutting them off one of their key sources of oil.

Wayne Allyn Root — businessman and ebullient, unapologetic conservative — wrote something the other day that caught my eye. Over an article about “The Great American National Divorce,” his headline blared: “Escape of the White People.” Describing the exodus of New Yorkers to Florida and Californians to Nevada, Root noted that interstate migration across America is speeding up. Why? Because Americans who are not die-hard leftists “can no longer live with radical, extreme, self-destructive, communist SUICIDE BOMBERS.”

Planned Parenthood received $832 million in taxpayer funding in 2024-2025, an increase of $39.8 million from its previous report. A record number of abortions also were performed by the organization.
President of Susan B. Anthony Pro-Life America Marjorie Dannenfelser told The Center Square that "taxpayer dollars should never be used to fund Planned Parenthood, a business that profits off of killing hundreds of thousands of unborn children every single year.”
“Planned Parenthood is an abortion business, not a health care provider, and they have no business using our tax dollars to prop up their operations,” Dannenfelser said.

To be effective in both elections and legislatively, Republicans need to start playing ball like Democrats, maintaining their war room, and campaigning 24/7, 365 days a year, author and political strategist John Tillman told Just The News.
"The problem on the right is that we are like cats. We don't like to be herded. We're very independent, and we don't actually see government as the be all and end all. Every issue that are those 80-20 issues, we need to go on offense. On those issues, President Trump is the first one in a long time that has been better at going on offense," Tillman said.

Secretary of State Marco Rubio has yanked the green cards of three more Iranian nationals tied to Tehran who were living it up in the US – a week after the arrest of the niece and grandniece of the late Iranian mastermind, Gen. Qasem Soleimani.
The Post Monday exposed Seyed Eissa Hashemi, 43, his wife, Maryam Tahmasebi, and their son living a lavish lifestyle in Los Angeles before the arrest by ICE agents, with the State Department Saturday citing their connections to the regime.
