A Biden-appointed federal judge blocked the Trump administration from ending temporary amnesty for thousands of Ethiopian nationals in the U.S. since 2022. In a ruling on Wednesday, U.S. District Judge Brian Murphy described the Trump administration’s “termination” of Temporary Protected Status (TPS) amnesty for Ethiopian nationals as “unsurprising in light” of President Donald Trump’s executive order, Reuters reported.
Murphy also noted that “the will of the President does not supersede that of Congress.”
“Fundamental to this case—and indeed to our constitutional system—is the principle that the will of the President does not supersede that of Congress,” Murphy said. “Presidential whims do not and cannot supplant agencies’ statutory obligations.”

It has been far too long since a Clinton, Obambi, Diaper Joe Inferior Court Black Robed Insurrectionist has executed dictatorial powers over the Executive or Legislative Branch. How long as it been? Two, three days now?

Judge Brian is accumulating quite a record of reversals during this Administration. Of course, that's his job, sand in the gears.

Temporary statumeans TEMPORARY. It does not mean forever. Any "Temporary status" must come with an expiration date and notice of what will happen when that status ends.

If this judge thinks that he will stop this Administration, he is total crazy. This will be reversed. Trump has every right to send the Ethiopian nationals back to their country. The sooner the better.

Ethiopians receive temporary amnesty because they are killing each other in Africa so we bring them here so they can kill Americans. Our logic is twisted and the dirty judges help the wrong side by defying common sense. It all goes back to the same muslim problem.

Next, the courts are going to decide how to deploy our troops in combat. Judges live in a little world of their own and should worry about people who break the laws not decide immigration policy. He needs to step down. We don't need any more freeloaders here. We have enough of our own.

Why doesn’t this most feckless branch of government know as the Judicial Branch simply host a Zoom call with all their “subordinates” and underlings in the Article II Courts to advise them that from now on NONE of them are the President, and hold NO power over him, or the decisions of the Executive Branch. Chief Justice Roberts is a DC swamp snake, and I knew it by the way he breezed his way through the confirmation hearings with both sides of the aisle gushing his praises. He’s NOT one of us.

Congress did not provide temporary amnesty status for the people in question. It was Joe Biden, through the State Department. Temp Status was then extended through 2025 by the same administration. That status ends in 2025. Do judges get to change when 'temporary' ends?

This will be overturned in 3-2-1!!!
Every judge that gets a ruling overturned on appeal should have to pay a fine of $100,000!!! Let's see how fast the judicial activism stops and adhering to the Constitution starts!!!!!

Reminds me of the TPS for Haitians which was allowed to expire but was still being enforced. In that case, some Haitian monster beat a woman to death with a metal mallet at a gas station. Only thing missing is an Ethiopian murderer, but it likely only a matter of time.

TPS was authorized under the Imigration Act of 1990, Public Law 102-232. This act was designed to provide temporary relief from deportation and work authorization to individuals from designated countries experiencing ongoing armed conflict, environmental disasters, or extraordinary conditions that would prevent their safe return. So there is public law to guide TPS processes but not be decided by Congress. TPS is codified in 8 U.S. Code § 1254a - Temporary Protected Status. Subsection 3(B) "Termination of designation" states the following: "If the Attorney General (note - not Congress) determines under subparagraph (A) that a foreign state (or part of such foreign state) no longer continues to meet the conditions for designation under paragraph (1), the Attorney General shall terminate the designation by publishing notice in the Federal Register of the determination under this subparagraph (including the basis for the determination). Such termination is effective in accordance with subsection (d)(3), but shall not be effective earlier than 60 days after the date the notice is published or, if later, the expiration of the most recent previous extension under subparagraph (C)." TPS does have force of law but Congress does not decide the extension or termination of temporary protected status. Having fired his AG, Trump very well may have may skipped an important process piece, which could potentially be corrected before an appeal can be heard and ruled upon. The Acting AG should publish the required notice in the Federal Register, and within 60 days, formally terminate TPS wrt Ethiopian nationals in the US. Article 2, Section 3 of the Constitution states that the president "shall take Care that the Laws be faithfully executed.” That wording suggests that the laws can be executed by others and not the president personally. Following the process should resolve the issue and should be followed for other countries whose circumstances no longer prevent their citizen's repatriation back to their home countries.

In this country of WAY too many lawyers, is it even possible that the entire justice system could be reviewed, and sane limits set on conflict of interest, extent of powers, and competence to understand the laws as written? Add an extra special punishment for making up laws, like so many do. The public gets severe punishment for DUI, even when no one or no property is injured. Incompetent or evil judges can ruin a life or injure all of us. They should face punishment instead of being overturned with no pain associated with their evil intent, and many of them are true evil villains.
