Department of Homeland Security Secretary Markwayne Mullin stated Monday that the Trump administration is considering withdrawing U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) officers from international airports located in sanctuary cities. In an interview with Fox News, Mullin said he would “take a hard look” at this measure to punish cities that ban cooperation with federal immigration enforcement, arguing that such municipalities are not lawful and should not receive federal benefits like customs processing while refusing to enforce immigration laws. “I believe sanctuary cities are not lawful. Some of these cities have international airports,” Mullin told Fox host Bret Baier.

Unfortunately the leftist, progressive, and socialist Democrats could care less if the US Customs and Border Protection (CBP) officers are removed from international airports located in so-called “Sanctuary Cities” and would be politically happy to see all comers, from all over the world especially aliens of Third World origin who they could designate as members of minority groups in accordance with Democrat identity politics, walk off commercial aircraft coming from foreign countries and into the USA, without being inspected for Federal customs and immigration purposes, thus allowing unlimited numbers of illegal aliens into the USA, in what would amount to an extension of the leftist Democrat “Biden era” supported “open borders” while carrying all forms of illegal contraband substances on their bodies and in their luggage. The reason that the leftist Democrats would be so happy is all political, as they consider the illegal alien population that is mostly poor and generally uneducated to be a covert leftist, progressive, and socialist Democrat political constituency who would vote for the Democrats based upon Democrat promises to qualify them to receive all forms of government (taxpayer) provided “free stuff” and to allow their extended foreign family members into the USA. The Democrats recognize after receiving what amounts to amnesty, being pushed now in Congress by the Democrats and some wimpy Republicans who love the thought of unlimited illegal alien cheap labor, could well in the future amount to twenty million “New American” future Democrat supporters and voters thus keeping the leftist, progressive, and socialist Democrats in majority political power on into the future.

What if, after Brown v. Board of Education, municipalities throughout the south had designated themselves as "sanctuary cities" where schools would continue to be segregated "sanctuaries" from Federal law and its integration requirement?

From what we have seen, the CBP in sanctuary cities is apparently ok with foreigners carrying millions of dollars in taxpayer cash through the airport. I don't know if they check their bags. If a citizen had $10,001 in cash, they would call the FBI.

No customs officers = no international flights = no longer an international airport, a sharp reduction in the airport's status & revenue and a blow to the economy of the city the airport serves. This threat should get even Karen Bass's attention.

FTA: "Legal experts also noted that the proposal would face challenges in federal court, citing a 2025 federal injunction in San Francisco that previously prohibited the administration from retaliating against sanctuary cities by withholding federal funding or services." Just do it! Everyone knows the federal injunction was at the hands of a corrupt Dem judge. Start a new case that will overturn the previous decision. Dem administrations do it in Repub states, turn-about is fair play. I worked in the administration at LAX for nine years (1990s) for the Deputy Executive Director of External Affairs. I shepherded our items through the maze of offices within the City Clerk and the City Attorney departments. I'd attend City Council meetings in which we had items to be approved, in case a question came up before the vote. International airports are the cash-cow for local city governments. Airports make their money on the leases paid by the airlines, air cargo, terminal and parking concessions. Cities are always looking for ways to skim off some revenue without crossing federal restrictions. City Council members can be very creative. Hit the Dems in their pocketbooks where it really hurts.

Mullin is even dumber than I thought. Whatever would that accomplish? Sanctuary cities being free points of entry for smugglers, terrorists, and illegals? Any guess how long before a federal judge slaps Mullin back to reality? Dude, don't go running your mouth before checking out the opposition. You're not Trump.

When Iran’s Ayatollah Ali Khamenei was killed under American and Israeli bombardment last month, a few dozen activists gathered in New York to mourn him. Cameras outnumbered candles — yet the moment generated nearly 19 million views on X and led broadcasts on CBS, ABC and Fox News. The gap between who showed up and who was watching is the whole story. It was far from organic; it was engineered. The Network Contagion Research Institute spent months mapping the pipeline behind moments like this. At its center is Press TV, an Iranian state broadcaster under US Treasury sanctions.

Mamdani’s Preliminary Citywide Racial Equity Plan and True Cost of Living Measure prompted a warning from U.S. Assistant Attorney General Harmeet Dhillon, who called the measure “fishy” and promised to take a closer look at its legality under current civil rights laws.

Now that President Trump has shut down the border and stopped the flow of new people into blue cities and states, they are not able to maintain their population levels as people flee to better places like Texas and Florida. With smaller populations, these cities and states are going to lose significant electoral power in the present, but even more so in the future. Long term, this is a disaster for them and that is the source for much of their rage. The left tries to frame their anti-ICE protests as a humanitarian issue but it has nothing to do with that.

Hamas remains fully committed to jihad (holy war) and rejects disarmament. The "Board of Peace" is therefore confronting a harsh reality: Hamas, like Iran, is not motivated by deadlines, incentives, or promises of reconstruction. It is motivated by ideology and by war. In Hamas's worldview, the war is not about the Gaza Strip. It is about reshaping the Middle East -- and beyond -- in its own image. Any policy based on the assumption that Hamas can be persuaded to disarm is simply detached from reality. The danger is that this rhetoric is designed to inflame public opinion in Arab and Islamic countries against their own governments,

Murphy also noted that “the will of the President does not supersede that of Congress.” “Fundamental to this case—and indeed to our constitutional system—is the principle that the will of the President does not supersede that of Congress,” Murphy said. “Presidential whims do not and cannot supplant agencies’ statutory obligations.”

It also requires schools to allow teenage boys to shower with the girls, and otherwise avail themselves of girls’ locker rooms. This is not, to put it mildly, a popular policy, especially with the parents of teenage girls. But Minnesota’s DFL party defends it doggedly. It gets worse: the federal government has sued Minnesota, alleging that the state’s anti-girl policies violate Title IX of the 1972 Education Amendments.
