Oh, Great, Peace in the Middle East Again

Well, it’s another glorious day, or something. President Donald Trump’s threats against the Islamic Republic of Iran have apparently worked, a “ceasefire” has been concluded, and as he did when he forced Israel to stop fighting Hamas when it had a chance to destroy the jihad terror group once and for all, Trump is once again hailing the dawn of peace in the Middle East: (Snip) The Islamic Republic of Iran was likewise in a celebratory mood, and in its joyful exuberance, fired off a round or two of celebratory missiles and drones into Israel and the Sunni states that it has targeted since the beginning of this conflict.

Comments:

I wish this were some kind of genius ploy that Trump has come up with, but it looks more like he doesn't understand the radical Islam that doesn't care about the death of its own people and can't be bought. It is never going to stop killing its enemies unless it is completely crushed. Israel understands this because it needs to for its survival, and the Arab countries do too. I hope I'm wrong and we're going to finish the job, but it doesn't look like it.

Cue Einstein's definition of stupidity! FTA: "during the two-week negotiations, the US will firmly demand removal of Iran’s nuclear material, no nuclear enrichment, elimination of the ballistic missile threat, and more, Israel’s N12 reported on Tuesday.” Removal!? Who would monitor that? The mulletheads will NEVER allow that. They lie, it's what they do; it's who they are. They only respect overwhelming force. And they love death. I say give them plenty of it.

Trump must stop with the ultimatums and threats unless he follows through and enforces them.

Just a quick note...President Trump has neutered the Iranian military. There is now 11 days left of the halt in the destruction of the Iranian economic infrastructure. This is fine with me. It shows the US is humane and reasonable. The US military has already shown it is fierce and effective. In the following days the US will be observing, reloading, and recalibrating if there is need of another Phase of war. Sometimes patience is a virtue.

Both sides will declare victory and go home. There is increasingly lesser room for the Trump Administration to resume hostilities if negotiations fil. The Iranians know it. That is why they came to the table. PDT might get 'peace in our time' till Election Day but IMO it will not make any difference. The question is - how will Bibi take it? Very concerned this morning!

We'll find out soon enough whether Trump is a 3D chess player (as his supporters claim) or TACO Trump (as his detractors claim).

A viral clip is making the rounds showing Christopher Hitchens, who passed away in 2011, giving a talk in 2005. (Snip)In it, he discusses the Barbary slave trade that captured an estimated 1.5 million Europeans and Americans over several hundred years. (Snip)all of this has been driven by religious imperatives and duties written into the Koran. That is reality, not “Islamophobia,” a word the left recently invented to protect their radical Islamist allies in the West. The threat of destruction from radical Islamists, as we term them today, has always been real and as imminent as their abilities allow.

Oh no, the America First/MAGA coalition is completely falling apart because--and I want to make sure I’ve got this correct–Donald Trump has systematically destroyed a bunch of Third World semi-human pagan savages who have been murdering Americans for nearly 50 years before they could top a missile with a hot rock and nuke Philadelphia. Yeah, the coalition is gravely disappointed–but not in Trump. It’s disappointed that a small component of his coalition that, for reasons that remain elusive and probably involve extreme greed, a psychotic break, gross stupidity, and/or libertarianism,(Snip)has decided to adopt views that are functionally identical to those of the damn communists.

One of the things I’ve been tracking here and on my show on NewsNation is the polling on Operation Epic Fury, President Trump’s war on Iran’s nuclear and ballistic capabilities (Snip). The war doesn’t have majority support, of course; the Democrats are too addled by TDS. Well, the polls—many of them—suggest his base doesn’t agree. As I’ve pointed out repeatedly, there is no MAGA split on the war in Iran, or if there is, it’s the split between 90% of the base and the influencers who pretend to influence them. Here’s an updated tally of all the polls I could find on how Trump voters feel about

Next up, Philadelphia, Detroit and Milwaukee. All five should and may well lie under close Federal supervision on voting day during the 2026 midterms. (Snip)Thune has, grindingly, consented to refer the Save Act to a vote, possibly next week. Thune is, like most elected Republicans, pretendian MAGA counting the days when he can go back to playing defence and lining his pockets. Western sources, always careful not to offend, describe Ramadan as “a month of intense spiritual renewal, focused on devotion.” In contrast, Islamic sources and clerics instruct devout Muslims to view it as a time for jihad, conquest, and martyrdom. (Snip) In fact, the common belief is that the call to wage jihad intensifies during Ramadan and that the divine reward for martyrdom during the daylight fasting month is greater. Therefore, it is troubling that government offices, military bases, public schools, and many corporate-run businesses across America celebrate Ramadan, and have been doing so for decades. This persists even though the Establishment Clause of the First Amendment prohibits favoring one religion

So it was the end of Ramadan yesterday or early this morning. I didn’t to know this. I don’t care about this. My position is that if people want to not eat during daylight hours because a psychopathic 7th century bandit and child rapist thought that was a good idea, or because imams subsequent to Mohammed have done so, it’s their primitive business and not a particular concern of mine. But I don’t get a choice about whether I engage with this nonsense. In Britain, it’s obligatory for our rulers to tell us how much they respect bullshit, so long as the bullshit in question is Communist or Muslim.

For decades, the American Left’s loudest voices on women’s issues styled themselves as fearless guardians of peace and equality. Jane Fonda, the original celebrity activist, was at the forefront—Vietnam-era traitor turned fitness-video feminist turned Trump-hating scold. Then Donald Trump happened. The moment Trump descended the golden escalator in 2015, something snapped. Murphy also noted that “the will of the President does not supersede that of Congress.” “Fundamental to this case—and indeed to our constitutional system—is the principle that the will of the President does not supersede that of Congress,” Murphy said. “Presidential whims do not and cannot supplant agencies’ statutory obligations.”

Democratic New York City Mayor Zohran Mamdani has introduced a “racial equity plan” directing city resources to “black and brown New Yorkers” in an attempt to “confront institutional and systemic racism within our city.” The mayor’s policy proposal targets housing, health, and economic opportunities, and seeks to address disparities by prioritizing neighborhoods and residents that have supposedly been historically marginalized by economic or structural factors. Mamdani’s Preliminary Citywide Racial Equity Plan and True Cost of Living Measure prompted a warning from U.S. Assistant Attorney General Harmeet Dhillon, who called the measure “fishy” and promised to take a closer look at its legality under current civil rights laws.

Mothers and fathers die. For the population to remain constant, the two of them need to produce about 2.1 children on average in order to replace themselves. (The extra 0.1 is necessary to offset the deaths of children who never reach reproductive age.) This figure is called the “fertility rate.” Recent data shows that the fertility rate in the United States is nowhere near that 2.1 figure. It has instead dropped to an all-time low of about 1.6. American woman on average give birth to only 1.6 children.

Hamas remains fully committed to jihad (holy war) and rejects disarmament. The "Board of Peace" is therefore confronting a harsh reality: Hamas, like Iran, is not motivated by deadlines, incentives, or promises of reconstruction. It is motivated by ideology and by war. In Hamas's worldview, the war is not about the Gaza Strip. It is about reshaping the Middle East -- and beyond -- in its own image. Any policy based on the assumption that Hamas can be persuaded to disarm is simply detached from reality. The danger is that this rhetoric is designed to inflame public opinion in Arab and Islamic countries against their own governments,

The world breathed a sigh of relief Tuesday night on news of a cease-fire in the Iran war, but this is certainly no time for President Donald Trump to go wobbly. If he can’t work out a comprehensive deal to end the Iran threat for good, he needs to get the jets back in the air over Iran pronto — and let the bombs drop. If not, he does risk that TACO label. Trump saw enough hope for a peace deal — and an “immediate” opening of the Strait of Hormuz — to hold off, for now, on the enormous additional devastation he threatened to inflict on the Iranian regime. Fine.
